Looking for a sedan. Ive had my fast cars and i'm not looking to go sideways in this one, so power isnt an issue. So long as its got a good sound system i dont care about all the options im missing out on. The real question i'm looking for is the reliability of the engines? from what ive found out the vq3000dd is pretty ace and has won a few awards....

G'day Chums, Does anyone know what other cars have the 3000cc vq engines? For example the 350z and the maxima's have the 3500cc engine but im having trouble finding the 3ltr in any other car? If anyones got one and wants to bag or praise it sing out. cheers Ben

- the 250GT and 300GT are gutless in temrs of straight liner performance compared to the 350GT. not even comparible. and both will be slower than your stagea or commodore. they range from 22k to 30k depending on features. these also mostly come in cloth trim and leather is harder to come by for these models. also, these are all 4sp auto. Warren, are you positive about the 300gt having the 4speed auto... I test drove a 300 the other week and put the tiptronic through its paces, i was sure it went up to 5th gear.... cheers Ben

The car will almost alway have 3 or 4 people in it when im towing, plus luggage.. Should be fine, it just concerns me that the 8 speed box may Continually slip through gears when im pulling a load. Might have to get some quotes

Getting a 350gt-8 in a few months and my plan is to fit a towbar and pull my old mans boat and my motorbike trailer. Do any of you forum junkies know of any issues that may arrise from putting load on the gearbox? Is it worth updating the trans cooler? And does anyone know the towing capacities....? Any advice would be great -Ben

Do all v35's swing the mirrors back when you jump out?

Thats bloody excellent. Economy was the only issue when i started searching for a v, but those figures are better than my current diesel..... is there a major difference between the 5 and 8 speed auto transmissions?

Theres most likely a topic on this already, but i can't find it. What figures (Lts/100) do you achieve from your v35s... I havent seen many 3000cc and 2500cc v's but a comparison between the three engines including the 3500cc would be good. Also what trans do you have? Manual, 5speed or 8 speed Auto. cheers.
