  1. Hi Adam, How many k's were on the car when removed? Is it still available and is it exactly the same as an R33? Can you package to send to Melb if I arrange the freight?
  2. Hi all, Finally got the problem fixed. Turns out it was a blocked wastegate caused by a split rubber hose.
  3. Thanks for the info. I'm running a stock ECU and yes I do have an aftermarket Apexi intercooler. I can hear the air being sucked into the car as if I had a pod filter (I'm running a K&N panel filter) and the stock BOV is making sounds like an aftermarket model. What would cause more increased airflow to the car? Oh and by the way I've turned off the AVC-R and still experiencing the same problem.
  4. Hi, Wondering if someone can give me an idea as to what is wrong with my car. It's an auto R33 GTST with an AVCR Boost controller. When flooring the car it is cutting out for a split second at around 3500 revs. I have checked and changed the air flow meter but still experiencing the same issue. My car normally runs at a maximum boost of about 0.75 bar or 0.82 in the cold when travelling upto 100km/h. It is now achieving upto 1.07 bar at only 50km/h. Awesome that it's so powerful right now but not so good that it's cutting out/jerking when putting my foot down. Any ideas?
  5. I have been having the same problem. Original pads that came with the car were Ferodo. Installed Bendix CT on the front and got squeeling, then took the car to a mechanic who reinstalled and grinded rotors. Noise went for a week then returned. Took the car back, mechanic put a new set of CT's on and within 2 days sound was back again. Spoke to a brake workshop who tells me this is being caused by brake dust and I should try spraying it out at the car wash. I do this once a week and it seems to get rid of it for about an hour maximum. Have now switched back to Ferodo which are a little better but still experiencing the loudest squeeking your ears have ever heard.
  6. Do you have any idea how much shipping of the stock R33 exhaust to Melbourne would be? I'd only be willing to pay $160 max including shipping.
  7. My series 2 skyline has the exact same AFM as a 95 model Nissan Maxima. All serial numbers, etc. are the same and the labels are pink. Yes I have tried the AFM from the maxima and works fine with my car.
  8. Previously had that problem on my 33. It was AFM
  9. I have the same problem but on an auto transmission. Have you sorted this out yet as I have absolutly no idea
  10. I have a similar problem but my clicking noise only comes front the front right and only happens occasionally so would be happy to hear what people think
  11. I'm also running about 10psi. I get to 300k when the needle is almost to the empty but have not had the fuel light come on yet so could probably get more. I am also a lead foot. I used to get only about 220k when I was runnin 16psi on an aftermarket computer.
  12. I only have a R33 GTST with just a few small modes but took on a R32 at 5 lights and raped it every time. Not bagging 32's cos I like them but just sayin doesn't matter if you beat a few, you won't beat them all
  13. Sounds like we may have had very similar problems. My wiring harness had already been fixed, plugged my AFM into another car and found it to be no good.
  14. I use Mobil 1 and seems to run fine. I've heard good things about Motul and will be trying that next
  15. Thanks guys! Changed airflow meters over and so far running like a dream and better than before. I had taken this car to the mechanics 3 times before they finally said it was the AFM. I do not recommend anyone going to Sumo Performance in Nunawading, Vic (Kamikaze's mechanics) as they had the car for over 4 weeks and couldn't nail the problem. I posted my problem here and got a response same day which was accurate and correct. Thanks again to all.
  16. Car was originally missfiring as well and revs dropping significantly while in motion. Now I just need to work on the stalling problem. I am also running .95 - 1.02 bar. I will check the coils but I would be very appreciative if anyone has any ideas.
  17. I too am having the same problem. My car is an R33 S2 GTST Automatic. It has been stalling while idling at the lights and in some cases takes a while to start after stalling. I have also noticed revs dropping significantly while driving and the accellerator feeling sticky when this happens. Stalled as i was taking off from the lights last night. Car has been with the mechanics twice who have still not figured out the problem. First time in, they changed the oxy sensor which made no difference at all, 2nd time in they found a fault with the wiring harness for the air flow meter and fixed. Car ran beautifully after this for 3 to 4 hours before stalling again in idle and then 30 mins later, stalling on take off from the lights as mentioned. My mate was with me and thinks but is not sure that it could be the crank angle sensor and from reading topic "Sticky: Missfire Boost.." it seems other people have had this problem and was solved by changing the crank angle sensor. My advice, if it's only just started to happen, get it looked at quickly because it gets worse quick.
