  1. there was a good thread on ns.com about that rod a while ago - Trent URAS posted and a couple of other informative people replied too... i think the final conclusion was not to change the length of it - if replacing with a adjustable one, set to standard length, this is just what i remember though so hopefully you can find the thread.
  2. i always screw an old wheel nut onto the thread and then bash the wheel nut with a hammer - works every time and doesnt damage the tie rod. Use a wheel nut that has a covered end on it though or dont screw it on all the way or you will damage the tie rod thread and be unable to unscrew the wheel nut!
  3. ba bow! no thanks too low
  4. Hi guys, Selling my track rims as i basically don't use them and i no longer have the room to keep them. They are a set of bronze volk racing TE37's. They are genuine volks, not a copy. They are in excellent condition, no gutter rash or other damage to them. I purchased these second hand about 18 months ago, they came off a R32 gts-t They come with tyres, Advans i think but the tread is getting very low and they should be replaced. The exact specs are: Front: 16x7 +33 Rears: 16x8 +38 I bought this size over 17 inch ones because of the cheaper tyres and also the lighter weight of a smaller rim which is ideal for a circuit car. They clear 4 piston brakes (S14/15/32/33) with no problems at the front and sit inside stock guards nicely. $1300 for the set, pickup in Heathmont VIC. PM me if interested.

  6. Looking for a set of R32 gts-t brake calipers - to suit a 280x30mm rotor. Must be in good condition and preferably have all the clips, retaining pins etc etc. Looking to spend up to $250 for the pair. Dont need rotors. R33 brake calipers no good, must be from R32. PM me what u got...
  7. Hi Guys, I have a nismo diff centre that i am unsure of what it is exactly. I think its a GT-PRO LSD as it is adjustable but i want to make sure. I was told it needs a rebuild kit put on it. The part number from the diff is 38420-RS201 The rebuild kit part number i have is 3843S-RS20 Can anyone tell me exactly what diff i do have and also if the rebuild part number is correct? Thanks heaps!
  8. Looking for a R32 4 door sedan. MUST BE: white in colour manual transmission turbo rear wheel drive (not 4 wheel drive). In overall good condition. Sorry about being so specific but its the car i want! Can swap a S13 onevia if interested or purchase outright. PM me if you have one!
  9. When i got my car engineered the place that did it stamped the VIN into the strut tower. They didnt do a great job and when my car was re-sprayed the VIN number was obscured. Removing the paint from that area didnt help either. Anyway i want to get an small aluminum or stainless plate made up with the VIN number stamped on it, so i can rivet that to the chassis somewhere, like pretty much every complianced car has. Does anyone know a place in Melb (prefer eastern suburbs) that i can get this done at? Or a place interstate i can order one from? Its nothing dodgy, i have all the correct paperwork for the car/vin number, i would just prefer it to look nice and neat for when i sell the car.
  10. Swap for a S13 onevia? SR20det manual..

  12. Item: PIAA driving lights Location: VIC eastern suburbs Item Condition: as new Reason for Selling: selling car Price and Payment Conditions: $200 posted, $180 pickup in VIC Extra Info: Contact Details: PM or [email protected] I am selling a set of genuine PIAA driving lights. I had these on my car for only a couple of weeks, they are in awesome condition. They are very bright, with a much brighter and further reaching spread of light than the highbeam on my car. I had them fitted to a standard 180sx front bar, but would probably fit any car without too much trouble. They come complete with box, instructions, globes, all wiring required, including a PIAA relay and switch, it even comes with a PIAA sticker for your car! Very simple to wire up. $200 posted anywhere in australia...
  13. i reckon its a cusco lsd - dunno if its a mz or rs though... http://216.239.39.104/translate_c?&u=http:...ction/h27748529
  14. Just checked the listings on the wrx forums and i am down for driver training! I am looking forward it, very exciting for me! Just called racebrakes for some pads and i am having some RB74's for the front and comp 2's for the rear delivered. Still gotta pickup a fire extinguisher and fix a slow leak in one of my tyres and a few other bits and pieces but will get there!
  15. Oh yeah and if anyone experienced wants to come in my car during driver training to show me how to drive then raise your hand on the day!
  16. Just sent off my application today, i havent done a track event before so i just signed up for driver training - hopefully i get accepted. Anyway if you see me there somewhere come and say hi and give me some pointers! I have a white nissan silvia with a 180sx front (onevia)... Jono.
  17. Its a switch for the auto trans - hold should hold the gear that you are in - i think its used for driving in slippery conditions when you want it to stay in one gear and not shift. Power i think should let me motor rev higher before shifting.
  18. I've got an aftermarket one going cheap - PM me if you are interested.
  19. Thanks guys, Yes its my first time out - i have spent a while getting the car ready, the WRX club meeting the week after sounds good especially if i can meet some fellow nissan racers. I am not out to set any records and will be taking it easy - i dont want to damage my car so soon after having it ready! I have emailed Justin @ NDSOC but havent heard back yet, just thought i would ask here for some people who have gone through the process before. The car has a greddy sump pan on it with internal baffles, i have an oil cooler to put on as well but not sure if i will get that done in time. This was the website i was looking at: http://www.marquesports.com/ however i will be bookmarking Cams' website now!
  20. Hi Guys, I am a bit new to the whole track day thing - my car has just recently been put back on the road and i am keen to drive on some of the local racetracks here in VIC - sandown, calder, PI etc. Anyway i have my CAMS level 2S license and i am a member of the NDSOC Nissan club which is CAMS affiliated. I notice on their coming events that there is a Sandown sprint day on the 5th June. Its hosted by the MCSA. First off - what do i need to do to sign up for the day? I checked the MCSA website but its 2 years out of date, is there a form i need to fill out and send off or do i just rock up on the day? Is there a cost involved in participating? Secondly - is anyone else from here planning on going? Finally what do you think i need to make my car track ready? Its a S13 SR20DET - I have a larger radiator and decent tyres for the day. I guess i need some better brake pads, fire extinguisher, second bonnet catch/restraint, helmet. Anything else?
  21. Hi, Does anyone have a picture of a bosch 040 pump in an R33GTS-T cradle? A friend of mine has his car in the workshop and they have called him to say that the 040 wont fit and he needs to have a surge tank installed. I want to go down there with a picture and tell them what to do, i have already printed out the DIY guide someone posted up for a different bosch pump. Thanks, Jono.
  22. I am posting this up for a good friend of mine who had his car stolen and is selling off some parts to get it back on the road. Its stupidly cheap (IMO) and i cant believe it hasnt beem sold yet. Its a black leather AAR racing seat. Its in very good condition and is tilt reclinable + several other adjustments. Its a very comfortable seat and not too tight so its good for those larger lads too! It was installed in an S13 180sx however the car was stolen and later recovered and the seat had been removed and put into a commodore and the rails were bent to make it fit, so it does come with rails but will require some work to install into another car. It would be one of the only ones of its kind in Australia, i havent seen another one like it before. Asking $400 for the seat. Its located in Melbourne. PM me for any more info or you can contact him via email: [email protected] or via PM on nissansilvia.com (username white-s13) Pics are here:
  23. This has been bugging me for a while - i remember probably 8-10 years ago i used to see a R32 GTR getting around my area with the number plates GDZILLA or something close to that (eastern suburbs melbourne). Anyway it must of been an aussie delivered skyline being that long ago, but i remember that the outer round tail light was actually the indicator. Most of the skylines i see today (GTR or not) have two brake lights on each side, and the small square indicator in the middle of the brake lights. Anyway i was driving down springvale road last night and i saw a black GTR heading past the Glen shopping centre, i noticed when it changed lanes that it also had the indicator as the complete outer circle and the small square middle light was actually the reverse light. So this got me thinking that there is probably two different tail light setups for the R32, is this correct or am i just insane?
