i just removed wheel .. covered hub in news paper and wheel arches and side of car and sprayed in my garage with no wind .. make sure u tape correctly and make sure you get all the paint off if you didnt mask the disc could smell funny or cause irregular braking which you obviously dont want

Ive got alpine splits type R in the front of my skyline.. My system is set up so over 30 on the volume and the speakers distort.. I want to push this higher and wondering how to do this? My amp is a 350 Vseries Alpine and whole car is installed with 6.5 (type S rears) 6.5" (type R fronts) Is there anything I can do to push it higher? ive not even looked at the amp yet but when it was installed they said run it in and come back for a re-tune, The top guy left that day so I said yeah no worries and didnt go back because the aprentice would do it .. which I wouldnt be pleased with from his "accidents" ive heard about. So do you think turning up my amp slightly will improve sound or just make it distort earlier in the volume control? From what I read if I need it to go louder I need a bigger amp and speakers which can handle it .. any ideas people?

The 350z runs brembos so it will clear all big brakes! the offsets are a little high for a skyline and will just sit on the guards lipping might be required .. would look pimp on a stagea .. can you guys run gtr rims without a problem? if so you can run these you in sydney?

the apexi doesnt come with a AFM it bolts onto ur air flow meter .. U should have air flow meter which is a black funnel and then the pod sticking out of that.. bolted on .. you prob have unbolted the k8n from its adaptor and it actually fits the apexi filter you bought .. if you have done this ur sweet.. if you in sydney i can look at it for u .. but pix on here would be good .. take one from ur phone and send it to ur email and post it on here

Im confused with what you wrote but if you have a filter you'll be fine .. only side effects with a good air filter is more power .. If you dont have an adaptor i find it hard to believe you have fitted it as it would fall off? For anyone wanting a filter get a direct fit one not a universal one otherwise you will need an adaptor

There is a direct boolt on for 33's there is also a universal fit which is not a direct bolt and requires a adaptor .. try Kudos in the for sale thread (kudos motorsport I think) for a direct bolt I believe its 4 pin on most ... depends on which one you get .. liike above bolt on for particular models .. again see kudos Air box is restrictive, a apexi filter panel increases it some what but still restrictive.. yes there is a hp decrease on long drives with the pod intaking hot air .. air box and direct air flow increases hp.. alternative is to cut a hole in the air box and run a direct feed never tried it but its been recommended it .. what are you asking? on what?? on a car I assume .. it was only .5hp higher than any other brand .. K&N was second. it was tested on a vacume cleaner if you familar with the test .. so im assuming it was then tested on a car .. however not sure

Apexi makes a 16hp gain (estimated from testing) also comes up better than HKS or K&N models in filtration and also still makes wicked sound .. Hope that helps .. buy one! Oh and for your info .. testing was done with 45psi which is heavy as .. the apexi showed almost no dust particles through and the items which got through would not effect the engine as the particles are small enough to not scratch or harm the pistons etc.. It sucked a little less .1 or somthing than the HKS model *retail $500* and made higher hp increase (Id say because apexi spins the air intake where as HKS just sucks huge amounts into a small hole
