Starcorp Rims 18's
DECIM8 replied to ctf_r33's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
so cheap what a bargin! -
People are going to contest this but ill voice my thoughts. Police HWP, Fitted with something to montior speed (someone will fill that word in, Lidar?) Often used to pull you over, I have u heard people being sent a fine in the mail (my fairly good friend lost his licence this way so its no bullshit, in his case he was traveling so fast they came to his house) I have heard people on this forum being sent the fine in the mail. Speed guns - Often parked on the side of the road use similar technology used quite often in a speed trap. I.e police parked 1km down the road, your speed is monitored with the gun, sent down the road and you get your ass reamed down the road. I would assume as your licence plates are logged you could get your fine in the mail. Fixed cameras = mail often about a month later. Tripod - This is a tripod with new technology which reads plates, runs them through a data base and confirms if your out of rego etc, Im not sure if you could be caught speeding but from what I saw the other day in a school zone I would assume so. To answer you question, no they dont have to stop you. This in mind there may be legalities if they do. I.E you can take it to court. In regards to mention of speed trap the speed trap as I understand has to be set up withing the speeding signs e.g "speed cameras used in this area" fixed cameras require at least 3 "speed camera ahead" or similar signs. HWP require nothing, School zones require nothing. FYI speed needs to be logged for 3 seconds, If you do speed (which I dont think is very smart) you can decrease your speed safely (thanks to big brakes) to avoid a fine.

Yeap... A pod box makes it legal in most police eyes however if they've had a bad day = defect. I believe the rule is pod has to be fully enclosed, I figure the pod is enclosed - in the bonnet lol My pod, when I had it was fully enclosed looks cleaner anyway
-
no but yes.. its illegal not to have it but when you've got it technically its all illegal.

No Auto Glym polish will not remove those marks, Ive tried so damn hard. repeating the process does not remove them, but repeating over a period of times seems to be lifting them (dont use the poilish if your window has stone chips :S wonder what from, it makes the [holes dry white] a pain in the ass to see in sunlight.) Mario, come polish my car .. Sending u a pm!

Transformer! Enzo its just sex

Heaps of people do it.. Let me know how much it costs doing it to a mates pulsar soon. Obviously pulsars dont go fast just want it to sound cool. IMO I would just get a full turbo back people sell them in the forum area all the time. prob cost the same for a bolt on cat back as what your doing.

Stop flaming the bloke, take it to an exhaust shop mate, they'll fit a reducer and weld it up shouldnt be more than $80 or so.

I got a set of chromed nuts if you want them $20. Not tip top condition but pretty good Otherwise ive got standard r34 nuts somewhere.

I have great respect for the police, alot of people who drive vehicles such as ours are complete assholes to them and anything they get is well deserved. I would encourage all members to be respect the police and remember the red and blue lights are not always bad. I also believe its a good thing police officers patrol this site as its gives them a good insight to what is happening in the car scene and as mentioned SAU seems to have a good rep, which I think is great and commend the mods and members on good work. I feel they need to do their job and if that means defecting people then so be it, we all know the risks and I feel making the police officers day as nice as poss is the best thing we can do for them. Dont forget apart from defects they also help greatly at putting the baddies away. In regards to photos taken I dont particularly have a problem with it.

Pm Dahtone Racing. I recommend him for everything great bloke and everything is very professional with work. A tune may be needed, piggy back as in SAFC or perhaps a EMU?

From what I understand rigoli has a better rep than CRD. They build BIG engines. I dont think his tuning is viable for most people because of cost. Anyways, I find it a worry you cant express your opinions on this forum any more, all that seems to happen is you get nailed for anything which goes against the norm. I struggle to understand why I would goto CRD if so many people have had issues with them to only tune my car and then come back an explain to the non-believers how they f**ked my car. You goto places because people say its good or bad not because u went there once for shits and giggles. Blitz Commented "On a side note, these threads are getting to be ridiculous. Every single time a new one pops up its the same story, every person has workshops/tuners they prefer, and others they dislike. " Yes this I agree with "Genuine comments from personal experience are helpful and informative, but its the second and third hand comments from people like the thread starter that don't know what they are talking about and simply repeat rumours they either read somewhere on the net or heard through their mate/brother/cousin/sister/family cat that detract from what could otherwise be a good thread." This is how business is made my friend, surely you know this. If your driving past maccas and your mate tells you how they got a big mac with half a rat in it at that store are you going to go back? so perhaps your mate tells you how shit a tuner was when they f**ked his VCT because they figured it could be tuned like v tec. Obviously now they have found it cant be. Perhaps If I was 14 your comments would hold some worth. I'm not however and I can stop jumping on the SAU bandwagon and decide what is truth and fiction. Perhaps as a Mod you should employ some of your own advice, BE NICE TO PEOPLE. I might also add, Just because I doubt croydons abilities does not mean everyone who has used him has a shit tune, IMO some of you sound like you want to marry the guy. Its a tune calm down its not like I nailed your sister.. Now, Id appreciate it if you locked the thread as I'm frustrated spending my time replying in it as I've found my answer.

theres also plenty who have pm'd me.. negatively. like I said each to their own.. I dont trust them full stop. I'm happy you've found a good tuner. Its not a mates mate I saw the damage. This thread has ended the way it was intended find a tuner, this will be unigroup. Not one single person has pm'd me or dropped the name badly. Obviously this means something. FYI its not like it will hurt crd when it comes down to it how would I sway anyones thoughts? am I anyone particularly important? no.. Everyone makes there own choices in life. We'll have to agree to disagree. Seems ive made quite a stir.

Arnt your local police a slight problem? I.E strict up there? Im in anyways depending when where etc
-
Lucky you man, My window alone cost $550.. So you've found some good deals. Hope its back up and running soon. used to live in darlington, same deal up the road from reddy and insurance was higher then at my place next to bankstown.

DECIM8 replied to Flynnn's topic in General Automotive Discussion

Anyone Ever Had Bad Experience With Js Auto Imports
DECIM8 replied to ton-kra's topic in New South Wales
You still waiting for the eastbear bits too? I think im going fair trading for it soon. -
I feel every car is different and should be tuned according, Im happy for them to load a map and retune it. A particular tuner mentioned here took 20 mins and just uploaded a pre made map, this is why I am so picky. However I understand what you mean, personal view once again. If a tuner had my car and had NFI it would be on a truck quick smart and off to the next.
-
Its just what I feel my friend.. I just dont like the idea. Suppose its not so much an issue now as must be lack of business as I have people ringing me.. Well see how it goes anyway.
-
How bout this.. Unigroup will tune it now and ill piss away some more money in summer to get CRD to tune her.. Slight disadvantage to CRD in summer but they may be able to work something out. I will store the unigroup tune for winter I will post the dyno results for each tuner for everyone to decide. Mods prob wont change as ive spent enough money

My bad I take it back, Yeah I know its Ignition but I had trouble remembering. I only bought hot4's for ignition anyway the mag sucks. Disregard the hot4's car comment lol Ignition sorry. Im sorry I want to clear up. I dont feel he isnt a GOOD tuner, however I feel its hard to own a reputable/busy business with alot of cars flowing in and be able to put the time into a car like unigroup seems to do (from what ive been told). I have little doubt he is an excellent tuner, its just the time he has and corners which can be cut (for a regular customer). At the end of the day everyone has good and bad experences, Im encouraging people to post their good comments here. Hitman I dont think I can say anything good.
-
No dramas.. Ill wait for the one after lol.
-
Yeah man thats true, I got the impression something else was happening as the way he presented he sounded pissed. I.e they didnt do something, but like I said not the reason I wouldnt go. Ive got my own reasons ill let you know another time. Checked out JEM, however they are moving at the months end. Unigroup is prob my best bet..

Im pretty sure someone said it before, CRD is good at GTRS. Main thing that put me off was the Hot4's silvia blowing up, not the best things to see on a car they tuned and built. Although it may not have been their fault. However this is not why i wont go. Hitman, gods gift to tuning - so he thinks.
