V power is the second highest rated performance fuel, I dont think you mechanic is on the right page!! Caltex is number one, 1KW ahead. Good im glad v power is back, caltex just flows through my tank too easily

Highflow, best responce pumps out 250rwkw and your laughing Will be able to pump about 280 out at max.. wack in cams, injectors fuel pump and a oil cooler for good measure and your laughing find a cheap one in the FS section and then get it checked out, new seals etc and ur ready for tyre spinning fun Or you can buy a big ass turbo and wack in a tiny housing .. woot

Hey guys, Just some feedback on this thread. Took the advice of the blokes here and the mobile one gold 0-30 worked great. Unfortunatly Its too good and I felt the engine was moving too freely and it was to thin. Now have moved onto motul 5-40 I think xcess 8100 and its pretty good stuff. BTW oil change at 10,000km on the skyline with mobil gold came out slightly deep gold so its good for awhile id say (no oil cooler and yes I gave it a nice run) Hope that helps some people, I just felt the 0 weight was too thin and would give too much unwanted engine wear.

Hey, Ive got a sound comming from the drivers side, basically right under the pedals sounds exactly like a fan belt lose or fan itself hitting something. Ive got no idea how a clutch fan works but I know its most likely that. Anyone got any idea what else it could be? If I pop the bonnet the sound is louder and distinctly like a roof fan spinning around at serious speed. Anyone help in what it is? As i expect its a clutch fan how would a rectify this? Is it just a belt or perhaps full replacement? Found this post too "is it like a whirring noise that sounds like a fan cos if it does it would be the viscus fan...sometimes on the neo (happened to mine) the coupling gets jammed which means the fan stays on when accelarating. its the most annoyin sound. it kind of stops when you give it a boot up towards red line but yeh..im not sure cos your description is a bit hazy." But the exhaust drones out the sound on accleration its really just pissing me off sitting at the lights next to another car as the sound bounces off the other car and into my window.

For the record of people dissing the mx5 it is the best handling road car ive ever driven, basically handles like a go kart. You wack a rotary in it 12a or similar turbo charged and youve got a 700kg bullet wack some coilovers on and hit the mountains you'll piss your pants and kill any honda.

The LM1 is the best of its kind, Any reason why a perm gauge with a wideband couldnt be fitted? Ive seen them on ebay and would prevent me thinking im killing my engine... Would a narrow band be suitable?
