Dont touch the timing mate, your a newbie by the sounds of it and dont have to much idea what your diving into. Leaning out your engine could make it ping and eventually blow it.. Please take it to your mechanic, and if it has a ECU upgrade which I assume it does please skip the mechanic and to a tuner and ask them to squeeze some more kms out of it. Please keep in mind that a new engine requires to run somewhat rich to run it in to prevent any mishaps, such as pinging. How long ago was it rebuilt?

Does the car idle correctly or hunt at idle? Why do u have plugs gapped to 0.8 yet have to boost mods? 0.8 gapping its only "needed" after 10psi from what ive been told?! If its hunting at idle its coil packs, they will need to be replaced. How much fuel do you use? this could help us determine if the car is running super rich and fouling the plugs? If you AFM clean? If not search threads on how to clean it.. there is a sensor which lets the ecu know how much fuel vrs air to inject if its dirty or covered in oil then it will not work effectively and may be making the ecu hit a safety cut of some type, perhaps fuel or air cut. If your running a boost controller over 10psi you could be hitting either. Perhaps a visit to the mechanics is in order

Id also suggest you get yourself about 4 cars and tail him home, he will meet somewhere close to him as he will know the best way to avoid capture (if hes smart) when he lets you know a place make sure you check it out before hand or better yet tell him your a girl and dont feel safe in that area and make it closer to you so hes lost. 4 cars to follow him randomly turning off as he drives home, keeping distance. He will eventually head home if you keep your guys far enough back. Once he gets home you know where he lives and you can do what you wish. Im sure with all those parts he'd have some kind of car.. im sure you can find some kind of paint stripper. Make sure the cars randomly join him, once he leaves the car park. Oh id suggest meeting him in a car park such as Westfields where they record cars inbound and outbound, I would assume he would drive his vehicle into the car park so you may be able to contact the police about it all, saying he nicked them or somthing else. Also meeting in a westfield gives you the chance to place friends at closest exits, make sure it has boom gates.. to attempt to stop the vehicle.

Well, I never believed they would pass something like that. Did the media report on it?! Its interesting, I guess it will sort out the dodgy drivers but the power concerns me. In light of this I have heard of many drivers engaging in street racing and so on with current laws and the police have actually let them keep the cars but instead issues major fines and demerit points and in all cases disabled the driver (i.e suspended) I have since heard of 3 instances and witnessed one where the police have done this. Im not sure if there is a large amount of paper work or whatever but thats what ive noticed. Maybe they understand losing your car to a impound is like kissing your $30,000 part list goodbye. Ive got 60a sitting from the battery and another two 60a between the amp distro.. I believe its the cabling going to the amps, and I also think ive blown the front splits as now sometimes i hear them clicking.. but not distorting from memory i think its called clipping? Replace front speakers I think... Alpines too! Perhaps turn gain down. The installers did it all this way.. I dont know wtf to do..

Oh in regards to the letter of wrong doing.. Its wont happen! You say sorry, you admit wrong doing. This is why police will never say sorry. It will open a hole for you to sue, and they dont want that. for example, The stolen generation and the sorry from Australians (this is why the government never intended to say sorry) 100 cases now on the logs for compensation. Oh and ill also mention, police can set up radar traps in NSW in between signage. So legally they have to set traps between the 4km zones (i forget the exact distance) where a sign which say " speed cameras used in this area" or "police targeting speeding" and so on. For vic its not the case cops can set up cameras anywhere and even hire people to do that job, sitting in a car all day or hiding cameras to catch behavior. Hope I help. Look Im no expert but Im sure you'll most likely get off, Incorrect procedure followed by officers, especially the recorded voice conversation. The only way I see you get done for it is if they exclude the voice recording due to it not being brought to your attention (this would be a shit) I wish you all the best.

Mate your engine light comes on for a reason, I.e Knock .. or oil flow etc.. I wouldnt be driving it to much especially in that 5000rpm mark.

Tighten the screws I believe is what he means.. Otherwise silicone would work but surface would have to be cleaned extremely well (if you wanted more protection) Alternatively find some silicone boost hose split it up one side and slide it down the sides of the cover and glue together at each end and screw down should do i decent job if you get it in right
