  1. ZFS on Linux!? ..
  2. If the Blitz intercooler isn't fixable, don't suppose you'd be interested in selling the mounting brackets for it (top, and two side ones)?
  3. 70C sounds very much on the cold side of things. I hope it's been tuned for that, or could be causing all sorts of dramas...
  4. Gigabyte GTX 560 TI OC are decent cards for the $ (bang for buck) Edit: Looks like your budgets higher than that though ..
  5. *has no idea what any of you are talking about*
  6. Why oh why do people film this shit and put it on thie internet - not alone then post it (associating themselves with it, no less) - on public internet forums .. arghhh ..
  7. Care to part with one? I have two - one in my fileserver, one in my esxi server - would like another for my fileserver... I got mine at a decent price on eBay with the battery-backed cache a few years back. They're rockin' cards
  8. Stealth black fittings are one of the attractions of this kit for me.
  9. Yes the bezel fits. Not sure why you'd want it without the MFD inside though. Go pick one up from ImportMonster or the like.

Does the route go through the Heysen Tunnels? Have HardTuned/NissanSilvia been invited?
  11. Lian Li Armorsuit PC-P80B - 12 x 5.25" bays. Fill it with Lian-Li EX-H34 for 16x3.5" hotswap bays. Has a great cooling setup.
  12. Yummy, they have them for sedans ..
  13. Here's a hint - 1ml = 1cc Edit: I'll make it even easier for you: http://www.google.com.au/#hl=en&safe=off&q=60ml+per+30+seconds+in+cc+per+minute&oq=60ml+per+30+seconds+in+cc+per+minute&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&gs_sm=e&gs_upl=1513l2145l1l7l4l0l0l0l3l178l395l1.2&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=2599316b8eeef86a&biw=1412&bih=896
  14. Up to a few months ago, I'd have agreed with Zoom being a great choice too. The last 3-4 issues have really and very thoroughly disappointed me. I've forced myself to read them cover to cover because I've paid my subscription, but I find myself opening them up, flipping a coupla pages and being thoroughly disappointed. I've been subscribed for years (along with HPI/PI), yet I'm seriously considering canceling my subscription of Zoom. If their editor is on these forums, I hope he reads this post and takes something positive from it.
  15. Looks like I'll be picking up the keys for mine in 4 weeks. I can see it putting a serious curtailing on my mod plans for the near future
  16. Reason I'm asking is - if the finance goes through - I may soon own a house. It just needs a heap more power-points and data-cabling through-out. .. Could soon be living just a few blocks from you, Ruby I guess right now I'm just looking for an idea - like am I looking at like $50-75/point, or more. Once I know I have the house, and moving in then it'll be time for proper quotes.
  17. Anyone know a rough cost of how much it would cost to get 7-8 power-points added around a house, and any recommendations on people who do electrical & data cabling?
  18. Bleh.. do.not.want.
  19. If it's coming on at all, that's a good sign - at least means the bulb hasn't been pulled. That it's not coming on at other times based on what you've described is surprising to me. Certainly sounds like something isn't right with your steering then. As previous posts have suggested, I'd be checking the boss and see if it is HICAS compatible. If you can't be bothered messing with all this - do as many others do and lock it. For me, and many others, I'd rather my HICAS working - especially given having a HICAS lock-bar technically requires engineering to be legal. The HICAS system is fine on the street, and handy on the highway - it also helps keep the car straight in particular situations which can be counter-intuitive to how some people might expect. This can cause some unpredictable behavior in particular scenarios (on the track, drifting, etc), as the HICAS will essentially start 'fighting' with the driver about how to react. Anyway, if you can't be bothered (many can't) - just lock it
  20. Anyone know where I can get some Iron Chef stickers? .. jk
  21. R34 GT-T rim is 17x7.5+40 Nismo LMGT4 I have are 18x8.5+30 & 18x9.5+38. They're sitting pretty much on the guards at the front and slightly out at the rear. It's enough to worry about cops when I live in Adelaide (land of the defect). Anyway -- Based on offset calculator: front is 3mm less clearance inner & outer extend 23mm rear is 23mm less clearance inner & outer extend 27mm For R34 GTR (18x9+30), offset calculator: front/rear is 9mm less clearance inner & outer extend 29mm So yeah, going from 7.5 to 8.5 front and 9.5 rear. As for track, my understanding is it's center of wheel to center of wheel on that axle, but I can't find anything authoritative about it. Would love peoples input/thoughts/experiences
  22. Not trying to open a can of worms, but I've been reading through this thread and some laws regarding wheel changes, and it occurs to me that I'm probably now running a track width increase that is now illegal (based on an offset calculator, I'd judge 54mm rear, and 46mm front). Has anyone run into any issues with their increased track with passing through their relevant vehicle regulatory bodies (RTA/Regency/etc), or with insurance claims?
  23. You need a HICAS compatible boss kit to engage the steering angle sensor. If you don't the ECU will recognise after a time and send an error code (and HICAS light). Additionally, it may not be aligned straight, which could cause issues with steering at speeds >60-70kph. Without the steering angle sensor, of course, you are also unable to engage the HICAS diagnostics (as it can't tell you're turning the wheel). Given you have an R33 shouldn't you have an airbag wheel anyway to remain legal?
  24. Get it taken to the right repairer, and ensure they use the right parts, and I don't see why not?
  25. ... All up, around $17K of damage - and mine is not getting written off. It really is going to come down what you have as your insured value of the car.
