  1. ^- Yup! I dunno, it wrapped up the 6th season well.... It explained why things in the alternate reality why they were how they were, and whether it had caused the 'alternate reality'. And the other aspects of the 6th season wrapped up a lot of the questions of the previous seasons. I dunno, I didn't feel gyped.
  2. Yeah, I didn't mind the end of Lost either. I'm not sure about one of the earlier comments around 'This is how we said it would end in Season 1'. Huh? End of Season 3 of Chuck has been pretty awesome too though
  3. If anyone's curious - for more of these: http://maraz-m-moroz.livejournal.com/255878.html http://maraz-m-moroz.livejournal.com/258060.html http://maraz-m-moroz.livejournal.com/257988.html http://maraz-m-moroz.livejournal.com/254340.html
  4. ahh you're a funny man
  5. Grrrr what is it with people on the forums selling stuff with comments like 'its the complete kit' and 'everything is there' ... you shell out your hard-earned, it arrives - and find out it isn't all there .... ... and when you explain how it isn't there, show pics of what you recieved, against what you should have they say 'well I got it off a mate - I never used it - he said it was all there - I can't offer you a refund'. Uhhh wut? How is his not knowing what he has suddenly my problem? He represented a product as something it wasn't which is a clear breach of the Fair Trading act. I really hope I don't have to take this to small claims to get my money back. The item clearly wasn't as described, so I've easily got a case, but ugh - so much trouble - especially interstate. What a frustrating and expensive experience <end rant>
  6. My only comment based on the latest set of pics is that the inner ring looks 'fuller' than the outer ring, and whether a double-ring in the outer set would fix this up. A bit late now obviously though
  7. Geez so glad I don't work where you guys do .. some days I give one/two days notice and take a coupla days off (depending what I'm working on, impact to any project schedules, etc). If I want a week or two, my boss obviously prefers a bit of notice though (2 weeks minimum). Christmas area usually has to be booked fairly far ahead (6 weeks+) to make sure there's no resourcing conflict, but I don't celebrate it and don't have any family anyway - so I just work straight on through.
  8. OOOooooh don't spoil it - I'm just about to finally get around to watching it (just watched the 1 hour 6 season-spanning re-cap episode) .. Gah! Now I'm stressing that I've wasted the time watching 6 seasons of a tv show
  9. This is - I'm guessing - the interior like you have: This is what most R34 have: Hopefully that helps. I've seen plenty of regular climate control units for cheap on eBay, but getting the double-din area may be harder to source - probably a wrecker or the WTB thread is your best bet.
  10. The reason is because you have the factory navigation/screen option. Realistically, you're not suposed to put a din unit there at all - which is why you're having so much trouble. On other R34 models, where you have the headunit now would be the climate control, and below that (where the climate control/nav unit is) should be a double-din area. My suggestion would be to source the parts (aircon, double-din surround) from a wrecker/ebay/etc and do it properly. You'll get a better visual result, and things will 'just work'.
  11. Middle of the wheel vertically straight up to the edge of the guard is the 'eyebrow height'. SydneyKid mentions ride height in this thread: Link I run mine at 345mm, and have camber kits to keep the camber in check - I like it, handles well, and haven't had any scrubbing issues or too many issues with low driveways / speedbumps (with standard rims). Apparently anything lower than 345mm becomes a real pain to correct the camber anyway. (It's also the lowest legal ride height for the R34 in South Australia): To give you an idea of how high/low it looks:
  12. Bah - i really need to get over my social phobia (i dont deal with new people too well..) and get out to meet all you SAU:SA people some time ...
  13. Shannons told me if I used their recommended repairer, I'd have a guarantee against the work - and if I didn't that I wouldn't ... which swayed me to use their repairer (much to my chagrin for the repair/respray work that I've had to get re-done because it had a bad color match and easily damaged paint (suggesting bad paint prep) that neither Shannons or the repairer wanted to acknowledge) I'd definitely use my preferred repairer next time - regardless of their 'warranty against repair' (which seems to amount to nothing given my subsequent complaints)
  14. From what I recall of the seats, 2-door & 4-door GTT are compatible but GTR is totally different? Perhaps someone can correct me?
  15. With the current spate of posts from newbs in the past few days - all of whom seem to either post about how they have this great plan for a car, or ask stupid questions (incapable of researching for themselves or even using search) or both -- i'm left wondering if it's school holidays again ... *sigh*
  16. Parkers aren't HID - they don't need a ballast.
  17. It looks awfully low .. What eyebrow height is your car running? I seem to recall SydneyKid suggesting anything lower than about 345mm would compromise handling - maybe try raising it to that level?
  18. ... because flippant comments like 'all engineered' when its clearly not 'all engineered' annoy the begeezus outta me? Hell, we've already witnessed another person going 'i didnt realise turbo timers were illegal', so clearly its not common enough knowledge. Can it hurt to ensure information is out there?
  19. ... *looks at my complaints of repair results from the 'accident crash repair - thoughts' thread and the Shannons recommended repairer and doesn't say a word* ...
  20. Yes, they're illegal. Stupid how many modifications people do when they havent even heard of (or barely heard of) the ADRs, understand what's legal or requirements for engineering....
  21. Not to rain on your parade - but 'all engineered'? hell, even a turbo timer engineered? .. mmm .. yeah. I'll believe that when i see it.
  22. I like my 4-door R34 I posted earlier, but eh ... mine has different mods to that one. My pixel car reflects that I have factory tinted rear windows, nismo clear side/front indicators, coupe rear spoiler (real pain to make look close to right - and still not happy with it) and canon exhaust. Still, it's not bad for my first effort vs
  23. Just be aware that there's a pattern difference between the 2 and 4-door - make sure you go to someone with the 4-door pattern. The 4-door pattern has special allowance the arm-rest in the middle of the rear seats, the 2-door pattern does not. There's currently a group-buy going on with a company that has just taken on the 4-door pattern; might be worth taking the opportunity to get in on that.
