  1. Is the wheel still available? What condition is it in? Do you have pics?
  2. I drove my R34 back from Sydney, gave me an opportunity to familiarise myself with the car - it was a fairly pleasant trip despite lack of any real stereo (AM/FM had been retuned for aus chans, but otherwise had a tape-deck). I had an alarm fitted and my car booked into Croyden whilst over in Sydney and had a complete inspection (so I could take it back to the yard if they found any probs my pre-inspection hadn't picked up) and to fit a 3" turbo-back exhaust. I did have the benefit of being able to crash with friends in Sydney to make that easier on me though. The drive back itself was fairly uneventful and long - took about 15-16 hours in all, sticking to the speed limit - taking plenty of breaks. It's a drive I've since repeated a coupla times since then as I have friends/family in Melbourne and Sydney (sometimes going direct to Sydney via Melbourne to shake it up - doesn't take that much longer and gives more interesting scenery).
  3. Works fine for me... (and woah.. flamage..)
  4. Bigger question is why the mods/admins havent terminated the thread & account yet...
  5. When people on the street laugh at you, and the cops throw the book at you - you won't think they're so 'F#*king Awesome'
  6. Can confirm that for my R34 is the same - I was surprised when I noticed
  7. Anyone know the part # of the Boost Sender off of an R34 GTT?
  8. Hiya, As the topic states, trying to track down some good condition R34 Sedan Moulded carpet PM Me if you have some for sale! Jenna
  9. Heh - was good to finally really meet a Skyline owner in SA - get the occasional wave - haven't really had much of a chat with anyone much before - so 'Hi Normsta' I also got to show off the R34 GTR MFD that was finished being installed this afternoon - woot
  10. Well - that solves that - and is a warning / informational thing for anyone else wiring one of these up - your sensors, etc won't display properly until the ECU sensors are all hooked up too (injector/throttle/speed/rpm). MFD is now working beautifully
  11. I've just been installing the MFD as of last night - and have a bit of a question: So far I've only installed the power/acc/ign, 3 gauge cluster wires (illumination/oil temperature/boost) & dash wires (water/oil pressure) - next up is the wires from the ECU (speed, injector duty, revs, throttle position) -- but on doing a test power-up to make sure everything is fine, only water temp seems to be showing up. I've tried running the diags to test sensors, and even then whilst it seems to detect sensors, nothing is really coming up besides water temp - boost just sits at 0. I've checked, double-checked, and triple checked the conncetions. Does anyone know if this is normal? I'm wondering if maybe it's needing the inj/speed/throttle sensors from the ECU before it'll initialise the other sensors properly? I'm hoping that's the case anyway. Ah well, I guess I'll put in the remainder of the ECU wiring and see what happens. Otherwise, I'll be trying to track down whether it's a grounding problem or something else weird. Fingers crossed this unit isnt a dud (it came from a working car) - I can't imagine how much it would cost to repair
  12. Knee pad?! .. wtf..
  13. You broke the law with driving a turbo car on P's and have an unroadworthy car - what do you think's going to happen?
  14. Try living outside of Sydney - I've lived in Brisbane, Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne, Geelong & Adelaide - Adelaide has by far worse roads than Sydney.
  15. There can be only ONE .. Iron Chef
  16. I'm so glad you redid it to display the red/blue bits - it was really bugging me and something I was gonna make sure I did. Did you end up snapping the red/blue bits out and then re-gluing them back in after wrapping and cutting, or just cutting around the edges with a shaft craft knife?
  17. As far as I'm aware on the sedan you just have to scrape it off and then put new CF garnish over it - but I might be wrong - certainly that's what I'm planning to do on my R34 sedan...
  18. No comments/considerations of the alternative for auto drivers (that regency wont notice) - nistune? Admittedly, this won't work easily for R33 owners (without either using R32 and sacrificing VCT or using a Z32 ecu..)
  19. Hiya, Trying to source second hand R34 GTR intercooler temp sensor and exhaust sensor that is on the exhaust manifold. Maybe you picked up a second-hand R34 GTR intercooler - but didn't need the temp sensor? Looking forward to your responses!
  20. *looks at dyno* ... Almost vertical 400kw jump in 1000rpm - sounds like that would be just about unusable on the street. Dyno Queen?
  21. Can this be done with the standard housings - ie: you just change the CHRA, or does this require something more special?
  22. Don't suppose whoever bought the intercooler would be willing to seperate off the sensor - I'm after exactly this sensor!
  23. Which grommet you trying to get it through? I used the one behind the drivers side, behind the wheel arch - had plenty of room for my 0-gauge wiring for me....
  24. each to their own indeed, i quite like mine. had an issue for the first 2 years of ownership due to having a non-hicas boss kit. Once I got the boss kit on, the problems went away and the started HICAS working 100%... still love it -D Yeah - I had issues on/off with my HICAS after I had some camber/caster stuff fitted to my car - but was great after the steereing rack was straightened up. Then I had issues after Regency saying my rear rack had 'excessive movement' (it really wasn't) forcing me to replace the rack - and the ensuing dramas with sensors that caused. It has led me to understanding the HICAS system pretty well, and being able to figure out issues with the various sensors on it though (After reading through about 50 pages of workshop manuals from various Nissan models). I dunno - I quite like it on the street, but I can understand the issues it might cause if you were going to take it out on the track and push the vehicle hard. Each to their own - just make sure if you remove it, you get it engineered!
  25. Different wheel-sizes front to back?
