ok guys bit of an update, i recieved my coils in mail today but im at work so i cant fit them until like 10 tonight should only take me about 30 mins or so to fit, i will take my car for a drive once there in hopefully prey to god it fixes the hesitation and my car will pull harder then ever before, but i wont be able to tell if my boost is spiking might have to turn it down a tad to like 10psi see how cold it is tonight, anyways ill let you all know late tonight and this thread can be a great help to majority or 33 owners with same problems

hey guys was browsing forum found this thread, i recently took my car to aaron as a stocker only had pod filter and 3inch stainless turbo back zorst that i did myself already, for me he fitted apexi turbo timer, safc, fuel pump, piller mount and greddy boost gauge, GFB mach boost controller, FMIC, fuel filter, and dyno tuned my car run a tune into safc, done all this for $939 car come out at 286.9 rwhp at 12psi with faulty coilpacks, was very surprised at his knowldge recommend Aaron as he did a great job on my car and he is very straight foward . hope this helps guys, Adam

hey man if ur going to the cruise, did u wanna meet up in rocko then cruise to carousel for 9ish? pm me if ur interested
-
yep sounds good ill be there at 9 at carousel shops next to kfc be good to meet some of u guys
-
yes it would gain heat but not as much as if it were accross engine bay
-
im in it will be my first cruise in my skyline 10th august good date! any ideas on finish? edit: i wont know anyone so shall i just introduce myself as my username ELITE ?? but b good to meet some new people
-
correction MMM depends on the kit u get the one i got from JJ the washer bottle needed to be removed
-
yeh ill see how the heat wrap goes, or get bonnet raised a little, i am planning on getting it repainted and realigned so might as well do it all at the same time be very interesting to see how cold the air actually is though compared to piping temp
-
hehe didnt cross my mind dude sorry , so u dont think the air in the pipe will heat up due to amount flowing through
-
icy u should really get same side entry/exit cooler, so piping is set up same as stock, no heat transfer from fan/engine
-
yeh true, just want my car to be getting the best out of what mods i put in might try some heat shielding tape or something! is there a way to test intake tempretures? from intake piping?
-
hey man, good question i only just started to mod mine aswell was stock when i got it, i have got this fitted last week FMIC kit from justjap Walbro fuel pump gss341 250l/h i think GFB boost controller runnin 12psi pod filter apexi safc 3inch stainless split turbo back dump from justjap gutted cat 3inch kakimoto zorst and im just ova 210rwkw dynoed at 286.9 rwhp good result for just breathing mods hope this helps, im getting used to this power already need more
-
yeh fair call, it just pisses me off to know all that effort to have no change! even though the piping gets hot, would the air inside be same tempreture?i might get a vented bonnet ???remove some of that hot air, i know for a fact the cooler is working becuase its cold before it enters the engine bay then warms up like FARK
-
oh ideally yes that would be great, but i dont really have the cash to do that being custom and evrythin, my best bet would have been to go for the same side/ entry/exit cooler, but we live and learn, is this a common problem with us rb25 folk? what are u others doing to prevent heat transfer or are we just dealing with it?
-
hey guys i just recently got my fmic fitted, and it is kinda defeating the purpose, my intake pipe is straight above my fan and my pipe is getting quite warm, why have a fmic to cool the air, if it is just gonna heat up in the pipe again? is there any type of covering i can put in between my fan and piping to stop the heat transfering from the hot engine air?? or would it make any difference at all?

hey mate do you post to wa? -
i still have my stock plumback on my s1, no problems as in running, sometimes when letting clutch out a little to move forward in places like drive through with a little bit of throttle then go to put brakr on and clutch in cars idle does drop to close to a stall but then picks up again, only problem i have in regards to stalling hope this helps
-
yeh mine are coppers already and gapped at .8mm, im not going to be gapping them down anymore unless the splitfires dont complete the job, im sure they will though, damn i hate having no money since i have had this car, tis very fun though
-
yup, more than likely, i dont want to but buying splitfires from sliding performance, in doing this im ill have no money for a bout a month, but then at least its done and i can concentrate on actually driving my car instead of constantly worring about missing, i hopefully will have them by tuesday next week if sliding performance can send them out for that date, $525 delivered in 2-3 days is not to bad i think, considering nengun takes about 3-4 weeks when u buy them for $480 there, im willing to spend that extra to have them now But what if it doesnt fix the problem
