  1. Use to use Motol Chrono, very good oil mate you can't go wrong but for $100 for 4 litres it'll depends on your pocket cause remember 4 litres aren't enough. Neway I'm using royal purple now around $80 for 5 litres and it's doing a very good job. I've got about 110 000 KM on the clock and around 250 RWKW so it is a good oil.
  2. Ok talking from experience, I ran 11 PSI on stock ECU and SMIC, well stock everything except a 3 inch cat back. I ran that way for a good 8 months, mind you it's my everyday car and I drive alot, and my foot is heavy on the accelerator, until I had a bit of funds and I bought a K & N pod ( $70 ), and a a FMIC ($ 350-380) from ROCKET Industries in Sydney and istalled them myself. After that the car ran good for another 3-4 months until 1 day I blew my turbo. Now by the time I blew my turbo the car had already done around the 100,000 KM mark, which is known that the ceramic turbo will F**k up sometime around the 100k mark. I'll leave the rest up to you to decide. Good Luck. Personally I'de go for it with no probs, a lot of mechanics tell you to install an ECU or A FMIC yeah thats right they will tell you that cause if you do that, they'll make $$$ of you. Get the idea
  3. They always tend to idle a bit lower wen running on the turbo timer, I don't think thats a major issue but 600 rpm does sound a bit too low Are you sure it's that low??????? Bout the BOV if it's not a plum back you'll always get that trust me. Bet you any money put the factory 1 back on and problem solved. But neway you just gota do wat the guys said sounds like they know they've used that BOV b4 but sorry I've never seen it.
  4. I got the same problem it doesn't happen all the time though, it's only once in a while, but it is same as your problem. I think it is a coil pack, best way to find out start the car and just let it idle, pop up your bonnet and pull out the coil packs 1 by 1. So pull the first 1 out and see what the car does if it starts to sound different then it's NOT that 1. So put that 1 back and pull out the next 1, keep doing this until you pull 1 of them out and you see that it's making no difference, because then that means that coil pack is F**ked. In other words, your car now on idle sounds rough, pull out your coil packs 1 by 1 and put back in. Everytime you pull 1 out it should sound rougher, and if you pull 1 out and it doesn't sound any rougher than that 1 is f**ked. By the way if it does that at more than 1 coil than you could have more than 1 F**ked coil. Good luck, I hope it's NOT that neway cause coil packs aren't cheap. And I hope that helped
  5. I had a similar problem, it's all gone now though after installing a couple of mods and tuning it on Apexi's Power FC
  6. So have you found any info. yet??
  7. I'm not sure about standard ones but I got 800 CC's and they're SARD Injectors. You probably best of getting yourself second hand ones from some1 like me who changed his stock ones after modifying his car. LOL. Although that I'm not realy thinking of selling my stock ones but I'm sure some1 else is.
  8. LOL There you go I told you different people, you get different ideas. This is the only 1 I'd probably ignore LOL
  9. You are always there to help Terry aren't you? Keep up the good work. God Bless
  10. Are you after the whole headlight fitting or just the glopes
  11. Yeah you probably right, I just like being on the safe side, n wait a bit longer to let all the oil go down.
  12. I'm honestly not sure, cause I got an RB25 NEO and the Injectors, and the layout is different.
  13. LOL well it looks like I'll off my crutches a couple days before or maybe a couple of days after the event But anyway I dnt care I'll be there lol. I'm getting my mate to drive around for me
  14. Well I hope you find the problem, If it is a problem, it could be just your injectors or something. Good Luck
  15. There you go different ppl, different ideas. You probably confused now and don't know what to do just try doing both if it makes you more comfortable
  16. I have a Z tune style CF bonnet on my R34 for last 2 and half years and I've never had any problems with cops or anybody else. I've been pulled over many times and been asked to open the bonnet, and they never said anything about the bonnet itself. The only time I had a complaint from a cop about the bonnet was because of the metal clamps because apparently incase of an accident they will fly off and hit some1 in the eye but they never defected me for it or asked me to take it off, that just was thier opinion. anyway cops once told me and I'm sure they're right, is that they can defect you on ANYTHING apart from factory parts. That could be anything, they said even if you have 10 engineering certificates they can still defect you. And they did it to my friend, he got defected on certain things that he had an engineering certificate for but they didn't care. My advise just find yourself a cheap bonnet as cheap as you can because it will save you $$$ N don't worry bout any ADR and stuff, just behave on the road and you'll be ok. But anyway if you think you'll be more comfortable with an approved bonnet than go for it and Good Luck.
  17. Some close up pics, to see the marks abit more clearly plz
  18. I Agree, the wheel diameter has nothing to do with it. And the offset could have something to do with it. And By the way I have an R34, it's 10 years old and it always had 17" wheels on it, I've owned this GREAT car for nearly 3 years now and Never had any problems with any tyres, bearings, discs and that kinda stuff.
  19. What's ADR?
  20. Well wat I have is not 100% like wat you are describing. The car revs high at about 1600-1800 rpm wen its cold and than it gradually drops down when the car is warm. Mechanic says that is due to big injectors and the way it's tuned on the Apexi Power FC. If you have big mods than I guess that what it is.
  21. I agree with the guys, And I recommend oil to be checked first thing in the morning as the car hasn't been started for many hours. I even recommend that for changing oil so that all the oil is down the bottom. If gota do it after u been drinving the car than u must stop the car for at least 2 hours, or more if possible.
  22. Thats some real good info. thanx man
