  1. I just got one from sprints for my rb25 head bolts, was 10mm, cost around $15 i think!
  2. put me down, if only to spank RB25DETS2,
  3. she's all factory, so i'm sure the gasket was the right size. cant see any scores on the bore at all, just a few water marks, it is cleaner than the rest, most likely the steam and un-burnt e85 cleaning it!
  4. the offending gasket
  5. it's on the exhaust side of no.6 and the gasket has damage in the same spot, lipped up
  6. Hey guys my 25 turned into a kettle Friday night, head gasket blew, looks like its been on the way for a while, little bit of corrosion on the block under the gasket, looks like the metal ring on the gasket has caught the edge of the piston, not sure if i should pull it down and go for broke or just fit a better gasket and see what happens!! has anyone seen this before?
  7. yeah std cams, with extreme high mount manifold, cant complain thats forsure!!
  8. I wouldnt believe a word that dick says, 10 sec my arse, gets my blood boiling seeing that cock head, if you only knew how much dodgey shit that guy did in his rain or terror. They didnt call his tuning "panic" tune for nothing!!!!
  9. ah funny, dangerman4 has had a 3076 and prefers the 3582 and I've had a 3076 and prefer the 3582 so i guess what we say means nothing!
  10. since litho aint posting again lets all gang up on him, LOL, why we looking at this graph anyway, it's not from an RB, also without seeing the boost graph anything before the ramp dont mean shit, IMO, thats what the head banging is all about isnt it "opinion"
  11. ah ok I see where you mean now, seems alot still, my head hurts, might be some wheelspin involved there i'd say looking at how wavey both lines are or the tune is a little rough!
  12. 200hp? wha, where
  13. they may be capable but not many get there on std engines, 270-280 seems the average as for hks vs garret, unless you get a good deal like Lee did I dont think it's worth the extra $$ I read somewhere that the HKS have there own blade design on the comp wheel, but yeah physical dimensions are the same
  14. Good times tend to rely on mph so I think the bigger of the 2 turbos will win in most of the above cases! E85 allows the 3037 to punch well above it's weight, so the midrange is very similar, I think the 25 head has reached it's flow limit so without cams and head work it's hard to say if the 3582 has reached it's full potential! If both were tuned on ulp I think the gap would be alot wider in the 35's favour, I would love to try both setups on the same car oneday.
  15. Hey Darren I wouldnt read too much into that graph, rev limiter was set to 7600, it did hit it hard tho, also it was crazy rich on the ramp so it's not a fair comparison. the response of the gt30 running that sorta boost is very hard to get to the ground, not my cupa tea!!!!
  16. LIQUID GOLD
  17. Scotcher Race Fuels & Oils (08) 8262 2200 3 Senna Rd Wingfield SA 5013 The owner said he'll give a better price if i was to buy in bulk, say 100 litres at a time. It's sold via there pump! the other source I have is sold in 200 litres drums at $1.75 /ltr + shipping
  18. $1.70 per litre last week when i was there, and a better price for reasonable amount, also its a 98 blend, other option that i went for was to get it from race fuels in vic, it's blended with ultimate 98 and is marked up "race spec"
  19. Try Scotchers race fuel
  20. that little dip almost gave third gear a chance to get traction, since smoothing it out it feels crisper, comes on much harder, and gets messy real fast!!!
  21. Just for something to do Lee and I ran our cars back to back to compare turbo's, both running E85 on std engines HKS3037 with a .68 rear vs GT3582 with a .8 rear same boost and ign maps
  22. pity about the river, it aint no quick trip down victoria rd anymore, traffic at knock off time is bulsh*t, built the bridge at the wrong end, bloody progress, who wants to buy a house in north haven
  23. series 2 R33 stock engine stock cams Power FC 850cc sards Z32 afm Trust EBC hybrid cooler 3 inch exhaust GT3582 .8 internal gate high mount ETM manifold running E85
  24. Hi mate scotchers race fuels in SA has a 98 blend at the pump $1.70 p/l
  25. fair enough, I was only offering an idea to try, I could possibly run a higher gap but i'm too lazy to try, it idles smooth, gets good economy, goes like stink and doesn't miss a beat, I have put on a larger turbo and havn't tried larger gap yet, maybe the inlet temps play a big part?
