  1. I agree that having good response is all good, but traction becomes a real issue if its too snappy, RB25det (Lee's) car is a good example, try getting him to lower the boost, yeh right, no chance!! Hi Rob82, which side of the fence are you sitting on, do you think smaller or larger turbo than whats been tuned for 98 is better! lets say for the road anyway?
  2. I think there's a good case to go for a larger turbo, the amount of extra timing you can add and the way the fuel burns should negate the extra lag!
  3. Hi Matt It made 302 on shaun's dyno on the jap vs aussie day, mine gained pretty much 50 exactly, over 98 tune, my turbo is a ATS special, has 3076 core with a std r33 comp cover and a AVo .73 rear, about to put on the .6 garret comp cover to try get the inlet temp's down! mine seems a little more linear than Lee's but i think my Kaaz 2 way is making better use of the power also!
  4. 50 rwkw seems to be the average, amongst the few people i've spoken too Lee's car was a pleasure to tune, everything went great, (except when the charcol canister blew some hoses) all in all was a pleasure, his car is a little more responsive than mine with his smaller exh housing so wheel spin is an issue, a good locking diff should help.
  5. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=0LO2e57UtkE&...feature=related this is the day I fell in love with skyline's, I sat on the back hairpin and was just blown away with the grip the Gtr had out of the corner, will never forget it, pitty the brakes didnt last!
  6. does seem to have a bit more zip than vista, no option for email other than windows live, so far so good
  7. How do you calibrate that meter?
  8. Darren why did you fit high flow non return valve? does the 044 not have one? cheers
  9. As far as i now only the 2 mentioned sell it, maybe i need to ring them again!
  10. Rory Thompson does the lock bars, 0414948028 or in ph book under rory thompson services, on rundle road salisbury south (next to post office)
  11. looks like the mob has spoken
  12. whats your injector duty hitting at it's current tune?
  13. You'd make a good salesman Lee, how's your beast going?
  14. you mean it wont start or it wont crank? most likely fouled plugs
  15. yeh I know, the isn't much around on 740's but plenty of people have set them to 0.18 try 50 - 55% and 0.18 first see how it runs, i know i said 65% but that was when my latency was at 0.00 and yes i would adjust before starting
  16. it will add fuel so dont stress, my 740's were set at 65% AND 0.18 is the correct lag time it will be rich but that's cool, just try it, can't get any worse can it?
  17. try 60-65% and 0.18
  18. Hi Matt was just a suggestion, are you going to do back to back testing still? If you dont mind me asking what did the custom rail and injectors set you back? I need to think about an upgrade, at the moment my 740's have about 46 psi base and 50 psi when the pump steps up!
  19. Hey SLED I see your off loading your canon camera gear, what are you useing instead?
  20. Thats a super fat curve, with that sort of torque who needs gears what are these 870's, are they drop in side feed? If Martin comes back, could you tell us what the numbers on the left of the derived torque are and how they relate to the peak torque figure written in the middle between the graphs ( much higher numbers )?
  21. I thought he said he tuned it to 340rwkw on E85, and was a little vague on the duty dycle, seems to remember somewhere it the 80% range i think, could be wrong. Also he's running 2 pumps, an intank feeding a external bosch, where as i'm only running a internal tomei, cant say what pressure he's running nor mine for that matter i've just turned the nismo fpr 3/4 of a turn on from where it was when new! I have a theory that I may be tipping in a little extra fuel to compensate for the extra heat my little comp covers making! sounds good.
  22. Shaun didnt log boost, but i'm sure it was within 1-2 psi, Afr's were fine when i checked the morning of DD run, and my 740 nismo's were at 100% duty on both dyno's
  23. Yo, it's all good, i didn't mean to stir the pot, just thought it would be good to compare dyno runs from the same day, with varied turbo's oh BTW, pull your finger out and start burning alcohol!
