  1. I have to ask for a key to the pump and aswell as "yes it's ok i know"
  2. yeh i added heaps to the cold start in winter, now its warming up i've got it back to near std settings, except 10+ i think i have that on about 40, dont stress too much about how much your useing until you've finished playing, mine was bad too, but settled down when my driving went back to normal ( what ever that is ) i've found it uses less if i tune it on the lean side and let the feedback richen it up to lambda, idles smoother too, the feedback is hopeless when it has to take out fuel!!!would pop and fart, have you noticed how little throttle you need to use at light load? or how much sooner the turbo spools? anyone worried about how much more they use probabley shouldnt bother, I only use it because i can get it easy ( drive past the servo anyway ) but the main reason is the RON that is it!
  3. At a guess it made the map with a G sensor, my go kart data logger would do the same thing
  4. I've had a few chats with Martin Donnon, who loves the stuff, he ran this dyno run and said the tune was good! he added that you can go to .9 without any problems!
  5. No worries I flogged it from a ethanol site in the US! I've only got a hybrid 3076 that is a heat monster and struggled to go past 240 rwkw no matter how much psi i shoved into it! that was on a dyno dynamics dyno, last power run it made 280 on a mainline, which i'm told would be smack on 300 on a dynamics, so i think your in trouble with the 740's, i've been looking for a 1000cc option so i can stick a 3582 on it!! does smell nice, sorta makes you notice how much shit is in unleaded. I've only added 4-5 degrees over map, when i added more it sounded angrier but didnt feel as smooth, most people say you dont need to add much timeing to get the most out of it, it wont knock, it'll go past MBT and you'll be loseing power!
  6. Good work what's your fuel capacity like, my 740's went from 60% to 100%, not sure of fuel pressure i'm running, i just wound the nismo fpr on 1 1/2 turns, lol, but gained around 50 kw, atleast!
  7. mines a sewell I'd give Rocket a call, they might be a little exy but there service is good!
  8. http://www.rocketindustries.com.au/descrip...p?partno=IM3733 I got mine with my lm1 kit from rocket, the one dataloggit sent was some other POS, I also got myself a std com cable to have a little extra cord to play with!
  9. Hope you boys have big squirters, big pump and a fuel reg! just incase your interested i average about 18ltr/100 up from 14!
  10. your right the fuel is masking a problem, heat, the gt3076 i have is bastard with a std 25 comp cover, i presume thats why it hits the wall, just cant flow anymore! and is it inflated with 4-5 psi pushed in it!
  11. Thought i'd better see what this e85 was showing, bottom lines are from a dyno dynamics run against a mainline, so all being equal looks awesome. On pulp I had alot of knock if I pushed past 240 rwkw, as u can see was able to put in more psi, awesome stuff! the torque line is arse about.
  12. only works if you stand on one foot and stick your tongue out! more than likely it knocks because its loaded up with shit from driving like a pussy, first blast cleans it out then it's all good.
  13. did anyone have practical solution for fitting 1000cc injectors into a 25? only ask because i'm running e85 and it requires alot more fuel, my 740 nismo's have maxed out!
  14. No worries disco, I havn't any power numbers to relay yet, but my seat of the pants dyno is reading much higher! I have read drag racers in the US lifting CR for the e85 by shaving the head, couldn't say whether this would be possible for the RB's. Cold starts aren't great but i have improved it by adding more cranking duty at 10+(double), I dont see this being a prob in summer. I tune my own car more as hobby and have been trying to get some info from Ls1 and silvia sites but it seems all they want to share is whats in my wallet! The scary part is this stuff just wont knock so I havn't pushed the timeing yet only 2-3 degrees more so far, will need to get on the dyno to see where the torque peaks, for the first time since i started fiddleing with fc's i'm considering unplugging the hand controller, dont need to worry whether it's knocking anymore!
  15. small world! still happy, useing about 2-3 more litres per hundred, but i'm a hoon. running a gt30 around 22 psi my 740's are just hitting 90%, at 7.8 afr's next ill need a fuel pressure gauge to lift the pressure a smidge
  16. Glad to read all running sweat! clutch is a bummer, have you checked the adjustment on the pedal, the last pressure plate i put in my r33 needed adjustment, when the peddle is up against the switch the shaft should have a little slop back and forward before it moves in? i know it might sound obvious but i know how heavy those boxes are!
  17. maybe some sort of hand held palm type thingy that can run dataloggit could be an option?, otherwise you really need a laptop handy! price in adelaide went up to 149.9, but, still it's got that loving feeling back in the skyline (atm) !!
  18. yeh converting to afr can get confusing, lambda is the best way to tune i guess, from what i've read in the US .8 lambda is around the money. dont use it without tuneing for it, it burns very lean, it's alot lighter fuel, if you have WOT tuned to 12.1 it will most likely lean out to 14-16.1, closed loop can handle it but you wouldnt want to gas it! Is a little harder to start when cold, trying different cranking duty atm to see if that helps, when warm it's fine, runs smoother i think, feels crisp to drive, definately more torque down low, can use less throttle opening, i guess that helps reduce the fuel usage, offset the extra its burning. I havn't pushed the timeing yet, it just wont knock and i dont wanna go too far, will need to dyno it to find max torque! youtube has a few good vids on this stuff, try google "e85 tuneing", people useing E85 cant say enough good about it, i wonder how many dooms-dayers are confuseing it with methanol!
  19. I have been useing it for about 3 weeks in my rb25det, its almost too good to be true, goes like a zurtec! lambda ( stoich ) is 9.8 versus petrol 14.7, wot tuned to about 7.8 i've had to add alot of fuel with the power fc, the max duty with my 740 injectors at 20 psi was 62-63% now its about 78-80%, something i never been able to before is run 24 psi that see's about 85% duty, thats with 3 more degree's ignition aswell! currently paying $135.9 a litre smells nice!
  20. what sort of noise was it? mine has a bearing noise since i fitted a tomei belt only when idle drops down, sounds similar to a water pump noise but i changed that so thinking its the idler bearing!
  21. yeh good idea, i'm pretty sure the fuel does add alot extra as it goes lower! as for the light load i keep a good eye on the count, only ever see low 20's if i load it up in too high a gear, so it cant be too bad! a possible gain there would be better fuel economy, i only played in that area to get back what putting a bigger exhaust housing lost in spool time and did it over a few tuning sessions so its hard to say yeh i can feel difference!
  22. 17 psi might run to row 15, 20 psi its goes to row 16, on a cold night might flash a couple of cells on row 17, with a vg30 afm highest voltage i see is 4.7 - 4.8 what you thinking?
  23. i have mine pretty close, maybe a few less degrees on light load, ignore the top end i'm running gt30 at 18-20 psi
  24. SOLD
  25. sorry these are sold pending payment
