  2. Gday guys. Im having big issues with atessa since i got the engine back in. i have bled it using the process mentioned on this forum a few times... bleed nipple above diff, bleed nipple on transfer. with connecter disconnected and by switching the ign on and off. now.. im looking at my res, and i can get the fluid to be between min and max in the top half of the res.. but the bottom half of the res, which im sure is the return side has barely any fluid in there(like 3-4mm). Manual sais it is supposed to have a maximum of 5mm air gap anyone had this before? do i have a massive air lock or something? is there a way i can bleed the return line or fill the bottom half of the res? thankyou in advance
  3. sorry havent got any pics of how it sits, but its pretty much exactly the same as that advan one.. the rear head drain is a standard fitting on the sump - 10 i think. i had no intention of using a rear head drain so i have it plugged up. comparing this to the trust extension is not fair.. these are a work of art once fitted and and sitting behind the kframe in a nice safe place is where the extra $350 is, not to mention the extra oil they hold compared to the trust jobby

  7. yeah got a reo, but it looks like he panle beated it a bit to fit the 120mm intercooler
  8. Brockas mine will be being re-tuned in the next week or two aswell so should have another 26/to4z to compare too. using a turbosmart 48mm and avcr.. so will be interesting to see the boost curve aswell, what wastegate are you running?
  9. i have the imports 101 kit, i was going to get the trust one but didnt like how low they hang.. very happy with the imports 101 kit and good service too think it was about $1100 supplied and welded to the standard sump
  10. sorry lad, its one of those things ya do in the heat of the moment and regret the sh*t out of it! if ya can find a bore scope you'll get a better idea of whats happened
  11. wow im still trying to figure out why you started it.... snap on bore scope, comp test and leak down and a f*ckload of praying,hope and luck is your friend now

  15. the bellhousing bolts on a 26 aint that bad.. the starter motor can be a prick though! ratchet spanners are your best friend especially stubbys or cut in half jobbys:) love modifying my tools just so i can work on my gtr.. NOT
  16. on the floor engine out, leaving the gearbox sitting in the car on a jack or block.. in my opinion its a risky job pulling the engine and gearbox out in one go.. things get damaged and peeps get hurt guaranteed if you try and pull both out at the same time someone will have to hop in the engine bay to lift the gearbox up to clear the rad support.. if something lets go someone could get hurt real bad.. and the cheap cranes that most companies sell these days come of the floor easily with that amount of weight. ps. take photo's of as much of the engine bay as you can for future reference!
