Rb25 Turbo Upgrade, All Dyno Results
KerrodR33 replied to Nacho Vidal's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
R33 series 2 GTST -Unopened RB25 -Hypergear SLSS2 turbo -4inch intake -Hybrid Performance steampipe manifold -Custom dump pipe -HKS 3.5inch silent power exhaust -100cell Cat -740cc deatschwerks injectors -Splitfire coilpacks -NPC organic clutch -Plazmaman Intercooler -Turbosmart 45mm external wastegate -Adaptronic plug-in ECU Made 368rwhp on 16psi using caltex 98, however manifold keeps making a massive exhaust leak so I'm going to take it off and check/machine flat and then get it back onto the dyno to run more boost and make this turbo come alive. No dyno sheets yet until full tune -
Asked my tuner to test fuel pressure but had all ready swapped out the fuel filter and said he is now making progress Fuel filter was about 8 months old so my bad in not replacing it for the tune lol
-
My tuners name is Rick Campbell, great bloke and only guy up here in Darwin willing to tune my car. He is swapping out the fuel filter now as we speak so hopefully that shows results but if it's not is it possible fuel pump is a dud? Brand new from kudos motorsports so I'm sure it's a genuine walbro.

Getting the slss2 tuned... Longest few days of my life First had a massive exhaust leak so ripped the whole manifold off and the manifold gasket was fubar! Tuner fixed that for me and now we are hitting 100% duty cycle on my injectors and only making 130rwkw > They are brand new 740cc deatschwerks and I'm using a brand new walbro fuel pump! Blocked fuel filter maybe? Just want to curl up and cry lol

R34 looks way more fun -
Of course you make a new version just after I get the SLSS2 lolEdit: What is different between the SLSS3 and my version of the SLSS2?

Yea don't need a drain plug, if I'm going to drain it I'd prefer to take it out to avoid spilling any oil all over alternator etc but been running a catch can for years and never had any blow by yet so fingers crossed won't have to drain this one lol
-
Cheers mate. Haha tbh never thought about it till now, more money to spend *sigh* lol Something like this would look the goods:
-
Just installed the catch can. Thanks so much, looks mint and is exactly what I was hoping for
-
Clean!
-
Mine at the moment
-
Plazmaman kit replaces all piping. Including a better design (IMO) of the crossover pipe. Here is some pics of mine
-
Thoughts? Still have a bit to do, such as catch can setup and dump pipe and then it will be going in for a tune.

Probably 8.5 front and 9.5 rear would be my preference -
Wheel Sizes & Offsets For Skylines

Sooo many posts and couldn't find what I was looking for without dying... Looking at putting Lenso D1Rs on my R33 gtst. What would be the best size and offset with out too much guard work (Rolled guards at the most)? Prefer 18inch wheels and must be able to hold 300rwkw decently. Cheers -
I bought my push in -10 fittings off the member Interloper on here. I believe they were in the for sale section.
