  1. Hi, Looking for a high mount suitable 3" v-band dump pipe to suit 33 gtst. Let me know what you got and must be willing to post to the Northern Territory (will pay postage) Cheers
  2. Kando highflow with OP6 rear housing. Whining noise wasn't very loud but noticeable. Wasn't until I come onto a highway at full noise at about 6000rpm that it became a screeching noise :-| blue smoke everywhere after that as well haha. Pulled the intake off and the shaft play is more like 'shaft free roam'. My oil feed gasket let go and starved the bearing of oil is my guess for it's failure.
  3. My highflow was making the same noise. Should look like this if you drive for too long
  4. Ok too easy. I'm getting married next week so if it's still for sale in about 2 weeks I'll hit you up
  5. Ok, so I'm about to purchase a T67 from kando and have seen these comments saying there failure rate has gone up. Can someone recommend an option I could take if I purchase one of these, such as sending it too hypergear for Stao to fix up or should I find an alternative turbo? I really want to run one of these t67's so hopefully I can take preventative measures to stop it from failing. Cheers guys
  6. Ok cheers cos I'm getting some weird sounds happening from the turbo region at the moment. They aren't consistent sounds and I cannot always replicate the noises. Sometimes I hear a faint whining noise that comes and goes and also occasionally when backing off on full boost I hear a loud grinding/chattering noise. I am uncertain if it is definitely the turbo making the noises but I am hoping the bearings aren't stuffed.
  7. Just noticed the oil feed flange gasket has failed and is leaking a small amount of oil, can this damage the bearings in anyway?
  8. Awesome cheers for the link
  9. May I ask how much for the front lip and where did you get it from? Looks great!
  10. Can I please have my name changed to KerrodR33? Cheers
  11. Yea might be worth a shot to look but judging from the pics it doesn't seem to be coming from that area. It looks as if its coming from above which is why I suggested to him it could just be from his excessive blow by out the breather, however on second look it could be getting blown out the cylinder and leaking out past the gasket due to broken manifold stud not sealing properly, which is why there is also oil on the inside of the manifold. We both live in Darwin so reputable mechanics are stretched far and thin and I have always done work on my own car due to this, so I wouldn't be able to suggest anyone to take it too for a proper analysis.
  12. Ok ill let him know next time I talk to him. Might be in for a bit of butt hurt as he has just moved to Australia and this is his first skyline. I think his plans are to mildly modify it to a decent standard so best bet would be for him to replace the motor as it looks really tired. He said it was smoking a bit today but I told him it would be due to the breather on the pcv throwing oil up.
  13. I have a mate who just recently purchased a 33 and upon pulling the crappy eBay turbo off to replace with a standard unit he noticed some broken manifold studs and lots of oil build up around the exhaust flange and cylinder. He sent me a picture but I am unable to work out what it could be. He has a breather setup that is spraying oil everywhere which he is going to replace with a catch can. So I am unsure whether its just oil spray from that or if he has worn valve stems or something else. What do you guys think it could be?
  14. New turbo and intake setup. Jeebus it needs a clean compared to everyone else's on here
  15. Just recently finished a turbo upgrade in the front yard under a very populated tree. Had to wash it every day after work. I felt so bad leaving it there haha
  16. Hey mate are you new to darwin? If so pm me for a chat. I am really quiet in the scene up here trying to mind my own business and have decided I might start to meet some people up here.
  17. Cheers. Was a bit worried for a second there and searching only turned up results for blown turbos haha
  18. I just installed a new OP6 highflow on my R33. I noticed it had a slight oil film on the rear housing and upon startup it started to burn a bit. Is this normal for a new turbo?
  19. +1 to wastegate stuck open on split dump. Buy a Just Jap bellmouth dump pipe and enjoy.
  20. Yea it will plug in but you have to reverse some of the pins I believe. Do a search on here as I seen it covered not too long ago
  21. Did it happen as soon as you changed the filter or a bit after? Could be a number of things: coil packs failing, vacuum leak or a failing air flow meter would be my guesses.
  22. Oh of course the R terminal on the alternator! I thought you were talking about the terminals on the battery haha my bad. May possibly have fried the wiring. Do you know how much for that to be re-wired would cost and if it is an extensive job?
  23. Pretty basic and dirty haha
