  1. its debatable weather you need the bov or not. IMO i'm with chook, in that you need to run one. alot of people choose not to run a bov but this is usually on aftermarket turbo setups. also with the stock bov you just cant run it to atmo, the factory bov is designed to pass on vacuum, so you will get eratic idle and constant stalling. your going to have to get an adapter plate made up to fit it to the new pipe.
  2. thats your BOV (blow off valve)
  3. I think if you buy one of the cheap brand dump pipes the R33 & R32 are the same pipe, the one I got for my 32 didn't sit quite right, so I suspect it was an R33 one. I used the one off my 32 on my S2 stagea and I had to cut it and realign the angle at the bottom straight section. Also had to add about 25mm length to the pipe to get it to meet up properly, this is for the S2 though.
  4. you cant run engine numbers through fast. but if you post up a pic of the engine there are a few sure ways to tell if its a neo engine or not, even if the plastic cover is missing.
  5. yes all of the S1 stagea's come with the S2 R33 RB25, but tangles is correct in saying that in the S1 there were 3 different ecu pinout configurations used, they all are still the same S2 R33 ecu internals with the R34 style plug, but the pinouts vary between the three. one of the configurations was pritty much the same as the R34/S2 stagea pinout. tangles must be lucky enough to have this one. also according to fast one of the S1 ecu variations was only used for about 3 months of production.
  6. nah i just run the cable down the side of the dash in the corner. defi's are all electric gauges so i had no vacuum line to worry about. here is a pic, just ignore the dirty windscreen
  7. here are a couple of pics of mine. defi boost gauge with the defi gauge holder. mounted to the dash near the a pillar with double sided tape.
  8. It's not a stagea, it's not even based on the stagea. It's based on the same frame as the v series skylines and the 350z cars. It's apart of nissans crossover range, just like the murano is to the maxima. It looks nice though, VQ35 powered. I don't think Australia is getting it though.
  9. Are you just trying to increase your post count or what?
  10. hi charles, are these going to be the same as the ones pictured up the top of this page? and what price are you chasing for them?
  11. Ryan, do you have them for the S2, front and rears? what brand and how much are you selling them for?
  12. you should have a look at the "Stagea Brakes" sticky at the top of the stagea section. if you have a S1 stagea you get get R33 front discs machined down to fit the calipers. but if you have a S2 there is only one option i know of at the moment, genuine nissan items. a couple of the guys are trying to track down an alternative though. have a look in that thred, there is plenty of info.
  13. Wifes Car Your Car
  14. here you go. i dont know what the options are, i dont read japanese, lol.
  15. That isn't all you need to do though iamhe77, just to add to what you have already posted: (in my examples i used my vin but blanked out a bit of it.) depending on how you have done your part search, via a vin number or just a model code (you can enter just WC34 for example and browse all the parts for the WC34 series stagea). you may have to cycle through the illistrations to get the one displaying the parts you are after. after you choose the part number on the illistration you have to go back out to the first screen with the cars details displayed. you will see the part you just selected will be listed here. i have picked an alternator/fan belt. to get the full nissan part number you need to click a button up the top, shown in this pic: after you click that your part number will be displayed sometimes there will be more than one partnumber for a part, especially when you are searching parts via model code, you will get this screen pop up, all you do is select the part number with the correct year model, engine type/transmission type you are after. it can also pop up if a part has been subceeded with a newer/different part. another thing that you may be interested in is the factory fitted options for you car
  16. what engine and drivetrain it come with from factory. the interior and exterior colour from factory. and any factory fitted options, like a sunroof. Fast is mainly used to get part numbers for you car, enter your vin number -> click on the part you want -> it gives you the right part number for you car.
  17. That's a little bit more than what I was on last year with Justcar when I was under 25, $1300 a year $500 excess. Now I,m 25 it dropped to $800 a year with a $400 excess. Also none of the mods i've done so far have had an effect on my premium.
  18. Still running the stock exhaust? Or even just the stock dump and cat? They can be very restrictive and can cause a slight drop in boost top end. Another theory is that if standard it only runs 7psi in "high" boost mode, and the stock boost soliniod has been wire/piped open then you may be experiencing a boost spike to 9psi early in the rev range before it settles down to the set 7psi.
  19. nice car mattye, are you the first owner in oz? which part of brissy are you from, if you dont mind me asking?
  20. to me it look like it has white faced dials, also the seats are series 2 seats. i know you could change them but why bother. i don't doubt its a series two. i think whoever picks it up is getting a good deal, cheap RB26 manual converted stagea. the only thing that would bother me is as some have said, and thats what trouble you may get into with the transport department, will it need to be mod plated anyway?
  21. what makes you say that Hugh?
  22. not exactly what i was getting at but you have a point. lol
  23. chuckie; there isn't enough material to safely tap out the inserts on R33 front brakes to fit them to a S2 stagea, that why the locating bush method is the way to go for the fronts if using R33 ones. was there a difference in the rears bolt sizes? R32 to S2 stagea? i have a set of R32 rears here but haven't got around to trial fitting them yet.
  24. I found this on ebay, Link IMO, you can add an RB26, and even an Autech kit (which this one doesn't have) but that still doesn't make it an Autech Stagea. its along the same lines as putting an RB26 and a GTR kit on a GTST and passing it off as a GTR, its wrong. also, i didn't think you could comply a car that has had an engine conversion
