  1. yeah, its an earth strap. it bolts up with one of the bolts for the heat shield on the stock turbo.
  2. all the panels except the front are the same between the S1 an S2, so that helps. and there are a quite a few stageas in australia now, which also means you'll probably start seeing more of them turning up in wreakers that and the fact that there are an increasing amout of stagea front cuts coming in just for the engine. i guess its just the risk you have to take for being interested in imports.
  3. i haven't had a problem finding parts yet. alot of the stagea suspension arms and bushes are the same as skyline ones. parts for the engines aren't a problem, once again same as skylines. you dont have to go to japan to get parts, most are available in australia. and i guess any reputable mechanic that has imported nissan experience is ok.
  4. wow that was quick. now you just need some S2 rear tail lights.
  5. if your not going to use it just leave it unplugged. if normally it is supposed to turn off around 4500rpm, you dont want it all of a sudden being on in the higher rpm.
  6. just get the clear ones, i think they look better on a silver car than the smoked ones anyway. i regards to ADR approved items, obviously the more ADR legit things you put on your car the less trouble you can get in with the authorities, be it the cops, department of transport or your insurance company. i'd start buy getting into contact with the department of transport in your state and getting a real answer on if you can have them or not.
  7. no. they dont have one.
  8. thats what i'd do. saves you cutting all the tape and plastic crap of the loom on the steering column to find the wire in there. its only a signal line for the stereo so it will be ok splicing in the cig lighter light.
  9. wont work, buy the sounds of it he has the engine out of the S1 stagea, you can't install the nistune board on these. the ecu internals are like the R33 ecu's with an R34/S2 plug.
  10. asking us which is better C34 or M35, is like asking in the skyline section, "Which is better R32 or R33?" lol try reading the Buyers Guide for each sticky'd to the top of the stagea section, there is heaps of info in them. also check out the fuel consumption thred. you just have to think about what your intentions for the car are. if your keeping it stock, i'd probably choose the M35 purely because its newer, if your worried about self service it shouldn't be a problem, in the end an engine is an engine, its got oil, spark plugs, etc. you'll figure it out where everything is easily enough. i like the look of the c34's better, and from a modification side of things parts are more readily available.
  11. ^^^ stainless isn't a good conductor of heat. there will be some heat passed on to the air flowing in a stainless tube but not as much as mild steel one.
  12. there is one up for sale on ebay at the moment.
  13. did you get the new ecu installed yet Jason?
  14. that sounds like a good idea Ryan. i'll get in contact with JDM Performance in NZ and see what they can do for us. i've asked a couple of the traders and suppliers about a group buy/bulk order, there is only really a saving to be seen at purchases over 10 units, and then its only like 5%. just using the interest in this thred i'm only seeing about 4 people that are interested in a group buy style order. might have to get some real numbers together if we can get a good deal on a group order.
  15. you can get wheel studs for about $2-$3 each from repco, i got some for my old 32 when the same happened to me. just hit the old ones out and put the new ones in, its not hard to do. i'd also be replacing any dodgy wheel nuts. just had a look i the garage, i've got a couple of spare ones, they are "NICE Products" brand pn: NS457. they were for a 32, 33 may be the same you'll have to check.
  16. yeah i am also keen on the Greddy item, which also turns out to be the slightly cheaper of the two bars. as Ryan has said RHDJapan has them. this company in NZ http://www.jdmperformance.co.nz/proddetail...-57-48-Yes.html here is part of the pm i got from Matt aka Jin Man in regards to the getting the Greddy bars with a group buy, also part of a PM from site trader ISC Performance, who can also souce the Greddy/Trust bars. if we get a group order for ISC we can split the shipping from japan. eg. if we have 5 people buying them it works out to be $297 plus postage from ISC to you. and for anyone interested in places to get the cusco items, site trader JDM Concept can get them, $335 + domestic postage syd to your place, 14-21 days from japan. http://www.perfectrun.com.au/ can get them. http://www.rmsmotorparts.com.au/ can get them. http://www.rhdjapan.com/ can get them. i didn't check with this company on price but they are in Perth, http://www.visionr.com.au/
  17. ok, i've got a few replys back from some of the traders and other people that are able to source these bars. so far it looks like all options are going to be around the $300 mark. i haven't got time to post them all up at the moment but i would like to know how many people a genuinely interested in getting on of these. the two i've got prices for are the Greddy one and the Cusco OS type. i'll be back on later with a few details.
  18. have a look at Chooks post in this thred, it has a link that shows pics of the Greddy bar installed, looks real nice. i would go off the pics on the RHD website as a referance to the actual stagea item, as on the same page other cars are also listed.
  19. yes the one that ashneel has pictured is tee'd into the FPR. does it have a compression fitting on the back of the gauge for the vacuum line? the type with a small copper piece that slides onto the tube before doing it up on the back of the gauge. if it does you may have crushed the tube doing it up too tight.
  20. yeah i've seen this one. it works out to be only about $30-$40 cheaper than the OS type. IMO the OS type looks alot better than the AS type, also the OS appears to be a bit more rigid.
  21. i asked the site trader that could get them if we could get them cheaper if we had a group buy. i was told that they wouldn't be able to knock very much off the price so it wouldn't really be worth it.
  22. personally i wouldn't be teeing anything into the vacuum line for my fuel pressure reg. errno, the one you have tee'd into should be fine. and yes there is a wire at the ecu that you can splice into rather than doing it at the O2 sensor. check this pdf out. i know its for something different but if you go down to page 2 and look at the ecu pinout pic N4-a, it tells you where the O2 sensor wire is. http://paulr33.skylinesaustralia.com/diagr...ing_diagram.pdf
  23. nah mate, sounds strange, do you have an aftermarket alarm/immobiliser system?
  24. Hi everyone, i've recently been looking into where i can get a rear strut brace for my C34 stagea from, i know there are a couple of other people on here interested in them as well so this is what i've found. I've contacted a couple of the site traders with little luck. One site trader said that they can get a stagea specific Cusco item for $335 plus postage and handling to your address. (PM me if you want to know who). I've had a look on yahoo auctions and found them for $380 pph. Also found some places overseas, NZ and USA that can get them but it still works out to be over $300 after postage. Can anyone shed a little light on where else to get one from? i think the exchange rate at the moment is going to be a big downside for anything coming from japan, and from what i've seen there isn't much change in the price between the places that can get one. Or alternatively, has anyone successfull fitted a rear brace from another car? little modification eg redrilling mounting holes, is ok. Something else i found out is, all the C34 stageas, S1, S2, 4WD, 2WD, Autech, Auto, Manual, etc,etc all have the same part number for the rear strut brace in the Cusco catalog. its just the fronts that vary.
