  1. Decided to put my POD filter on this weekend and make myself up a bracket and heat shield. its made from 1.6mm 316 stainless, i used reinforced rubber edging around the edges. i made it in two piece as it was easier to fold up and work with that way. i also used the factory CAI snorkle. the top of the shield meets up flush (or close enough) to the bonnet. i used the factory airbox mounting holes for mounts for the shield and bracket. here is the finish product, i think it turned out fairly good.
  2. where are you from? i didn't think you could import non turbos into australia. EDIT: oh ok NZ, you posted same time as me lol. nissan fast the parts software that nissan uses. google it you should be able to find torrent of it.
  3. i wouldn't bother, just looking at the size of the front calipers (slightly bigger then the front R33 ones) you'd probably run into a fitment issue trying to put them on the rear, with bolt hole centers, rotor offest may be off even if you put the front rotor on the rear. also, and i'm not sure about this, but it may cause issues with brake bias. a couple of R33/R32 rear calipers aren't to expensive, and at least you know they are designed to be a rear caliper.
  4. you could get a fair idea by pulling off one of your rotors and sizing it up. then go on the DBA website and start checking the sizing of the stagea rotor to some of the other nissan rotors, maybe even toyota or ford, some of them run the same PCD as nissan.
  5. if your looking at a S2 stagea then just get a manual. these pop up now and again for a decent price. if your going for the cheap S1 then you might have to look around for a bit longer until one that someone already has converted come up for sale. if your looking to convert one go and have a look in the stagea section. there are a couple of topics on whats need to successfully do it. i'd think the interior trim and handbrake are the hardest part to get your hands on.
  6. http://www.onlineconversion.com/pressure.htm mmHg is millimeters of Mercury
  7. nah, Z32 front calipers are the same as R32 GTST. unsure of Z32 rears. R32 GTR (non v-spec i believe) and R33 GTST are the same front. sumitumo calipers R32 GTST, R32 GTR (non v-spec) and R33 GTST rears are the same. R32 GTR V-specs are the Brembos, larger rotors. all four spots fronts and 2 spot rears. BKC34 have a read back a few pages. there is a few things mentioned that you need to alter to fit R33 calipers on.
  8. GTR seat and steering wheel SOLD.
  9. ok. i've seen one of the silver nob ones on ebay. said it was out of a R34.
  10. how long have you been running the walbro one DaveB? and is it a noisey pump, can you here it running in the cabin?
  11. isn't "that pipe" the air conditioner condensation drain.
  12. yep, correct. it does something to the fumes, then when you hit a certain boost/vacuum (not sure which it is) it releases it into the intake.
  13. this is what i'm going to do. start with a piece of cardboard, see how it looks, then cut and fold up a piece of stainless.
  14. are there two different manufacturers for the same faced cd player? anyway here is a pic of mine. just like the one in your first post. but like i said, until i get something else to go in its place (a couple of months), im still using it. cd player fuction is good, even play burnt cds without an issue.
  15. i've got a pod ready to go on when i get around to it. i'll be making my own heatshield at the same time.
  16. yeah those arc boxes look good. but if you already have a pod, just make a heat shield around it, and get some cold air induction in there.
  17. Chris, are you going to want these for a while? or just want a couple so you can figure out what needs to be done to fix them up? i have one just like the one in your first post but i'm still using it, and will be for a couple more months until i get something else.
  18. do you really need to move it. can you just make the airbox fit around the overflow bottle aswel?
  19. ^^^^^ Gerard. was that just for shocks? or for shocks with springs?
  20. on the rego sticker on the vl i had ages ago it was 1200ish kg. the rego sticker on my R32 said 1300ish kg. i remember when i had both of them, comparing the two and to my supprise the 32 was heavier. edit: and yes, a straight swap with the rb20 and they dont go that well. once i put 4.11s in my vl (rb20 conversion) it went alot better.
  21. i'd suggest doing a diagnostic on the attessa system, might be able to point you in the direction of a particular sensor.
  22. just the diff center and bolt the stagea crown wheel to it?
  23. gtr injectors wont fit. different style/shaped injector.
  24. more like x100kPa (BAR). and unless you get an aftermarket gauge that reads in mmHg the stock gauge will read different to the aftermarket one. also +7mmHg on the stock gauge is about 10psi.
  25. DaveB, i think all of the flared fittings on the skyline/stageas are the same size thred and pitch. i've got some R32 lines here and they fit in the R32 brakes R33 brakes and also looked like they would fit on the stagea flared fittings, i didn't try them though. edit: you'd just have to check the R34 line length was ok
