  1. bump. instrument cluster added.
  2. found one. thanks.
  3. go to the wreakers and get another one in working order. it shouldn't matter which model you get on from, eg. r32 r33 s13. as long as its working properly and the pipe fitting sizes are the same.
  4. what about the condidition of wiring to the coils from the ignitor, and the wiring to the ignitor from the ecu? it may be possible it got damaged in the engine swap.
  5. nah, wouldn't be the o2 sensor. i'm still going with vacuum leak. have you had a good look around for a vac line that isn't connected or a split in one of them? also did you set the idle after cleaning the aac valve?
  6. i ran 8mm spacers on the front only of a 32 with no handling or tire wear issues. just don't let the cops see them.
  7. you will get a small knock reading. just normal engine noise coming through.
  8. i have a stock R32 gearknob here, i'm sure it'll be the same, and the thred is M10 x 1.25mm if the end of your gear stick is 10mm diameter then just get a M10 x 1.25mm die and run it down the end of the stick.
  9. get the gear knob you want. figure out the thred size and pitch, then, if the gearstick end is the right diameter, run a die down the end of the gear stick.
  10. its ATTESA fluid. for your 4WD. just put power steering fluid in it. do a search on attessa reservoir or 4WD reservoir for more info.
  11. i cant tell what to change in the power fc but that you will need to get it tuned asap. and that stock injectors are 370cc, stepping up to 440cc isn't tha big of a step.
  12. the "N" in HNR means that is has 4WD. the "C" in HCR means that it has HICAS. i bet you dont have either??
  13. nah the safc doesn't have two knock wires, just one. you need to get a multimeter and probe into both of the knock sensor wires at the ecu when the car is running. the one that has the higher voltage is the one you splice into.
  14. just look for a plug floating around in behind it. when you pull that front trim off you have to unplug the lighter. someone probably just forgot to plug it back in.
  15. thats not abnormal. the more you rev and engine the more noise it makes. and a knock sensor is basically a mircophone.
  16. did it only start playing up since you cleaned the aac valve? idle may not be adjusted properly did you also clean up the cold start valve? thats the one under the throttle body. also sounds like its a good possibility you have a vacuum leak.
  17. go into the knock correction setup menu. from memory it wants you to rev the car up at 1000rpm and 3500rpm?? have the 1000rpm highlighted, then you rev the car up to 1000rpm and hold it there. then press the little center/enter button. then highlight the 3500rpm and do the same thing there. and to answer your question, you would want the higher number. if your car is getting a reading of 70 at normal engine operation then you would want it to ignore anything up to that value. if you set it to the lower value you will get incorrect, high knock values.
  18. ok. so was the car running fine before you did the wasted spark modification? or does the car still run ok but you are getting a funny reading? to change weather it fires from a leading edge to a falling edge is in the ecu setup, and it all depends on the cas disc you are using, some are leading edge discs and some are falling edge cas discs, i believe the standard RB ones are falling edge.
  19. what ignitor and ecu are you running? you have a rb30det so i'm assuming your running an aftermarket ecu. and the cylinders are firing twice in one revolution of what? the cas or the engine crank?
  20. your running a wasted spark setup. your going to get a double reading.
  21. i spotted a silver stagea heading north on creek road at about 7:45am this morning near carindale shopping center. i caught it out the corner of my eye as it drover past. i was heading south (going to tafe). and then, at about 4:30pm, im sure it was the same car, but this time it was heading south as i was heading north (coming home from tafe), and around the same spot.
  22. pm sent
  23. i don't think it would be a direct fit, i'm sure the gtr turbo's have a different exhaust housing flange. and wouldn't it be abit too small?
  24. HCR is the model code for GTST. BNR is for the GTR. HNR is for the GTS4. your mate doesn't know what he is on about, not all 32's had sunroofs.
