Exactly. Some people in this thread that are getting really amped up can't seem to differentiate different types of Insurance. Full comprehensive? As long as the guy had Third party property damage insurance then nobody is in a position to abuse or bag the crap out of him. Not to mention even with full comprehensive insurance his mate driving most likely wouldn't be covered anyway.

I may be out of line here, saying this, but I'll say it anyway. If your current tyres won't pass the pits then shouldn't you get NEW tyres for safetys sake?? Rather than just cheat the system by borrowing tyres?

This I know, hence my comment regarding it being a twisty track so my lack of power may not hurt me as much as I initially thought. Haha no semislicks for me, With old KYB's and unknown springs in the car she won't even scratch the surface of the limit of some semis, so I'll just stick with the tyres I've got. I'll be going to have fun and get to know some of yas, I know the Soarer won't set a world-beating pace. I'll be firmly wedged in the newbie group. Aside from that, it's events like this that make me wish I still had my old Corolla. AE82 corolla with a 4AGZE in it, and considerable suspension work - now that's a car that with some falken semis or something on it would shock a few of you I think! But oh well Cheers, James

I'll take my TT soarer, so I'll comfortably be the most boat-ish one out there on the track and with only 150kw at the treads, a slow boat to boot But the track's twisty enough for maybe that lack of oomph to really hurt me tooooo bad.... Cheers, James

Speaking of cars "quicker than mine" I think that sums up everyone's car compared to mine. heh. Not to mention I'm a track day virgin, so if I do go things should be quite interesting...

Just had a look at the pic of your VFR on your myspace, very trick looking bike! Love the single-sided swingarm look, a mates' NSR150SP has a single-sided swingarm and they certainly do look the goods

Is this strictly skylines? If I don't make the toymods track day, and the soarer's not off the road for it's heart transplant by July, and SAU permitting, I might tag along

Got every single book, including the Soft Science of Road Racing. Abo Bob, Comparing a bigger bike to a CB250 at least just isn't fair. Unless you're talking about fuel economy, the parallel twin that's in the CB250 is quite uninspiring. The CBR250RR however is quite a nippy little bike, I own one and love the thing to bits, but like said, a ZXR250 will be the superior bike if you do end up deciding you want a sports bike (unlikely I know you want a cruiser) but the ZXR will be rarer and more exxy. If you want a torquey loungechair of a bike but just want to get a 250cc for rego cheapness and cruising economy, I suggest a ZZR250, 03 or above... Insanely comfortable bikes, but while its comfortable, now I've gotten so used to the CBR I sat on one of those and just thought "no, no no! this is all wrong!" heheh Also, what leads you to believe harleys are unreliable? Lastly on the topic of bigger bore bikes, am I the only one here that is a fan of the Buell XB9R / XB12R ?
