  1. Yea I've tried a few places including SAU traders (Viva, Empire, etc) but they all seem to be a few months away with this front bar. First link doesn't work but the second one has the "TR" (Trust style) front bar I'm after...I'll give them a buzz, cheers
  2. For an R33. I'm in Melbourne.
  3. Good thing I checked first heh. Thanks for the replies, anyways it all seems sorted now and new owners are happy
  4. Yep they have agreed to let the new owners go and get the wheel balanced and forward them the bill. What about a wheel alignment? Should they have done one after the doing the driveshaft? The car has it's RWC and is sold already but I just wanna make sure the new owners get what they paid for as the car was driving very well before we took it in.
  5. Guys, My girlfriend took her FTO in for a RWC, guy pinged her for all kinds of ridiculous stuff. Regardless, we asked for him to fix it all as we are busy and don't have the time to sort it out ourselves. I drove the car and it shakes very badly on the freeway. As part of the RWC they put new tyres and repaired the inner driveshaft boot. I got my girlfriend to call them this morning about this and ask if they balanced the wheels and did an alignment. They didn't do either. They agreed to do the balancing (their excuse was the machine wasn't working), then they argued that the alignment was not part of the repair. I would have thought since DRIVESHAFT WAS REMOVED you would have to do one? This is the case in NZ (just moved over recently), just wanted to confirm before I call up and blast the guy.... Cheers, Aaron.
  6. Thanks for all your help guys - got it sorted. I don't know why, the mechanic my GF mentioned it was for emissions puposes. Managed to borrow one of a mate. See my other post in this section on what I thought of this guy (not mentioning names). Basically I think the car left his shop less roadworthy than it first went in $1k later.
  7. Guys, Sold my partner's FTO but we need an airbox to get a RWC for the buyer. Finding parts for this car is near impossible, so I want to find any airbox that sort of looks like it will fit and fabricate some brackets/adaptor plates for it this weekend. Is there somewhere where you can walk round and view written off cars for parts round here (just moved over from NZ). Open on Saturdays? Thanks, Aaron,
  8. Thanks mate, really appreciate this. Should be pretty straight forward from here.
  9. Hey guys, I just got an AVCR. It didn't come with the wiring harness to go to the ECU/pressure sensor and solenoid. Wires going to the ECU aren't a problem as the manual details how to go about doing that. But wiring to the solenoid and pressure sensor aren't in the as they would expect you to have the harness. MAP SENSOR: From pics on the net I guess the following [wires on sender:wires on AVCR] Red:Yellow White:Blue Black:Brown SOLENOID: Haven't found a picture yet, but only the pink & orange wires remains. There is a pink and black on the solenoid. Orange is for the scramble switch, so my guess is that the pink goes to pink and the black gets tapped off the red (switched ignition)? What concerns me a little is that solenoid and assoiciated wiring looks BIG. Does the AVCR switch this directly or is there a relay somewhere in the harness? If you've got an AVCR and wouldn't mind having a quick look under the bonnet to confirm that would be much much appreciated. Just installed the SAFC2 also and the car is booked for a dyno tune on Wednesday so I only have the weekend to sort this out. Thanks heaps, Aaron.
