Installed a gfb hybrid bov in my S1%.....anyways everytime i put slight pressure on the throttle and release Iam getting a "fluttering" sound coming out.....my questions is: do I tighten or loosen the vacuum spring tension?

i emailed Peter Judkins from the VIC drivers association (their letter to Famous is on the famous website). Anyways, I got a reply today, and I thought u guys might be interested: John, Re Famous, our Association nationally has been with Famous for 2 years following GIO and AMP declining to cover Driving Instructor vehicles. Mainly in Vic and NSW we have about 700 cars covered. The administration at Famous is a bit loose and we have spoken with them about better information systems...in particular better portfolio analysis tools. Regarding Heritage we understand that the owners are the principals of Famous who sought this underwriting facility because other insurers kept coming in and then moving out of the field e.g.GIO. As to status in Australia we understand that ASIC recommends a range of questions be asked but this is precautionery and Famous willingly provides answers. It is not illegal for Famous to trade in Ausralia. All I can add is that to date Famous has paid our Members claims very promptly. I must make it clear that I am not recommending Famous above all others. I can only tell you our experience and of course hope it continues. I urge you to get proper legal advice if you have doubts Peter Judkins rote: To Mr Peter Judkins, Lots of import car owners around Australia are very interested in the legitamacy of Famous, and as a current policy holder I must admit I am as well. Iam very glad to hear that. Every time I speak with Robin or Olivia they are always very nice aand courteous over the phone. Thats good customer service and Iam glad I singed up with them. Gotta say if I hadnt browse these and silvia forums I would have never heard of them.

i went with Famous as well. stcok s15 2001 (not for long), rating 3, 24, $2300. Best I could get. Any ideas what kind of increase is expected from the following mods: -exhaust -POD filter -ECU

but you must have precv policy UNDER UR OWN name to be rating 1. Nominated driver does not count.

3200 for 19year old is pretty good. i would take it. Just build up your NCB and it will go down year by year.

i cant tell how many times some hoon/wanker/tryhard has pulled up at a red light in their common-dore/falcon,etc... with my 200sx and gave me the stare and rev their engine. morons the lot of them! i just state back give a grin and a shake of the head...let them crash and die if they want to.... i'll keep on enjoying my driving

I recently got a great premiun from Famous and I am all ready to sign up. I even have my application form filled out and was planning to fax it tomorrow. However hearing about this 11pm-6am restriction is giving me 2nd thoughts.. Phil, are you saying they wont cover u if u park outside ur own house after 11pm? but anywhere else is covered? doesnt make sense.......

Is allegation about Famous being illegal true? I just got the best premiun I could get from them, and was planning to fax in the application tomorrow. Their website seems pretty legit, established 1982, underwritten by Heritage,etc...and scouring though MRt/silvia/wrx forums their seems to be quite alot of people with them.....god hope its not true....
