  1. So I finally bidded goodbye to my Stagea....8 years of fun but it was time to get a new (or newer) car....traded it in and gone to the "dark side" picked up a Skyline Crossover. My mate was spewing as I could have parted it out but I couldn't have a car sitting at home in bits as space is pretty tight at the moment. Before I handed it in, I did take it for one last spirited drive... From one cruiser car to another
  2. @Watermouse I grab a box and put it all together and I'll PM you the shipping cost

  4. So.,..I finally bidded goodbye to my Y2K Stagea S2 and picked up my Skyline Crossover....it's a '09 model Type P that has cruise control option fitted but not sunroof and roof rails. The car is very deceptive (according to my brother). Yeah the radar guided cruise control is good but just got to play around with the distance but never had that option before and its a unique experience. Also according to my phone's GPS (running Ulysse Speedometer) that dash is out by 7 km/h (cruise control set to 100, GPS is reading 93)..I don't mind that but when the cruise control goes up by 5's instead of 1's and maxes out at 110 (so you're doing 103) would be annoying on long trips...I wonder if you can it re-calibrated (i'm on stock rims and tyres) The only other niggle I had (only happened this morning) is the telescopic wheel has played up (will go up and down but not in and out)...sounds like the teeth are worn out (when I got the car the option to auto rise up the wheel and auto slide the seat back when the door opens was enabled, nice feature but wears it out)...it's not a hassle for me but eventually I'll need to fix it In terms of parts - can anyone tell where we can find them (as in from other Nissan models)...I'm trying to keep a spreadsheet on finds to make it eaiser
  5. You try RACV (or the state equivalent). I had my Stagea insured with Just Car but moved from them to RACV as RACV gave me a better rate
  6. I think you're right. The roof rails (like the sunroof and radar guided cruise control) were options on the crossover (the cruise control from what I've read was a very rare option that the Japanese took up). Also any of you Crossover owners installed a aftermarket alarm/immobiliser and if you did what did you get....I'm thinking of installing one and was looking at a Mongoose MAP70AU (apparently its compatible with EX35 so it should be the same) And where can you get replacement keyfobs purchased and programmed in Melbourne? The car I'm looking might only have one key and I would need to get a spare made up (just in case they don't have the second key)
  7. Yeah I know that..I was going what talkiet experienced since I will be going on some gravel roads when I go camping. I wasn't expecting it to be the greatest thing in the world
  8. How awful and bad is awful and bad? I'm looking at getting a Crossover myself - found a 2009 that I'm interested i
  9. I was going to get my brother (who lives up in Sydney) to go to Dream Car City to check out the Skyline Crossover they had for sale more importantly to grab the VIN number so I could check if has been tampered with (I have a feeling it has).. I think a lot of customers would be coming out to throw these shady people in jail....
  10. Hi Ben, can you tell me what they look like??
  11. Hey All, Before I start...yes I have used the search tool but most of the results are not what I'm looking (or I may have overlooked it) I got HID's in my car and I want to know how to adjust the headlights as my ones are not aligned (I think one is higher than the other but I'm not sure which is correct). I'm not talking about the adjustment switch in the cabin (which works. I can click from 0 to 3 and see the headlights move up and down) but have them properly aimed Is it a easy thing to do it yourself?? Thanks In Advance
  12. Man I have built plenty of machines on carpet (well PC on a study table) I just make sure that A) I'm wearing my anti-static wrist strap on my ankle and B) just touch the case just in case to ensure that I have really grounded myself comarcus93 - Very nice build you have there...You might want to check for clearance for a optical drive since you have your radiator up top (it's hard to tell from the pics)...
  13. One thing to note...if you're installing splits...consider where you're going to mount your crossovers. depending on the size of the crossovers you can get away with mounting them on the door card (in the cavity that makes up the arm rest) I have that issue at the moment....I've got a set of Boston SL60's in my car (Been in there for about 4 years now) and the crossovers are freaking huge...in the passenger door it's fine but on the drivers side I had to take out the case and cover in a anti static bag just to mount it (yeah it's ghetto...but it works)....I'm going to look at new set of splits that have a smaller crossovers so I keep them mounted in the door card
  14. Hey guys, Up for sale is a stock turbo that came off my S2 Stagea. Turbo requires a rebuild as the bearings are shot... It's great for someone who wants to high flow a turbo but can't afford to keep their car off the road while it's getting done Does come with the stock elbow Price: $150ono Location: Gladstone Park/Tullamarine, VIC local pickup preferred but willing post at buyers expense
  15. Hey Hollypopx Best thing to do is to reset the ECU to clear the fault codes and test. I had this same fault code a while ago....it was easier for me to replace the all the coilpacks (and it would come out to be cheaper in the long run) Now you can go for the quick fix and do what Tangles has suggested but after a while they will eventually break down...you have to remember they would have been in the car since day 1 and they don't last forever
  16. Might be a different one....basically Sunday driving from outside East Warbuton all the way to Millgrove...when it got behind a Land Rover also Sunday Driving.... As soon we got to a spot were we could overtake...the Maroon C34, myself and two guys on bikes blew past them
  17. Well it's been a long time I've driven the Spur (Black and Reefton)...and first time driving in my car through (been through there on a bike)...I know there's not much places to stop but it's cool, I had my own fun...lol. But where did the rest of them go??
