  1. It's never nice being at the accident scene and from the photo's he would have been going at a fair rate of speed to uproot the tree. if the driver was drunk then driver is an idiot and the passengers shouldn't have jumped in the car. I've always said to mates when they want me to do something stupid "if i'm going to that...I rather do it with just me in the car as I don't want your death on my mind" Man, it's like crazytown out the west the last couple of nights....I've almost had the front end of my car wiped out around knifepoint (highpoint) because people have been rushing to get stuff done twice already. I had a lady in a Tarago cut me off last night and then at the lights had a go at me for speeding up when she was cutting in (i was actually slowing down and had to sweve to avoid collision) but the worst of all she had her husband and her kids in the car she comes out yelling and screaming and then the husband comes out and tell her it would have been her fault as he told her not to change lanes as there was a car there (i was not in her blind spot)...husband apoligised and they went on their merry way
  2. 800 sounds right. It's the first time your car is getting tuned so it's going to take some time to get that tune you want...then I guess it should be cheaper if you need a re-tune as you already have a baseline tune already
  3. Are you talking about games downloaded from PSN?? I'm talking about latest titles such as mirror's edge etc. I belive that PS3 will install some files so it acts as a pre-cache for games Don't get me wrong I would love to get a PS3 for the pure fact or blu-ray games and FREE online play...unlike the X360 where you need xbox live gold account to play (too bad for me that my console is banned...but who cares)
  4. yeah at the moment PSP3000's are "unhackable" it's only a matter of time until you can put CFW on it
  5. The Blitz Spec R does click...but that's not the noise...I've got some time off coming up so I can check it out...mate of me was next to me and told me to give it and he said it sounded horrible but its definitely an air leak...the car is still boosting ok (other than the boost going past the blitz limiter and what I have set it to)
  6. Spotted a yellow F430 Scuderia flying down citylink this morning. the guy was easy doing 160 sounded very very nice
  7. definetly computer is good - since you've got a RS Four S, PFC is always a vaulable option. I've got the Cooling Pro Stealth Intercooler and its good - just make sure your get the stagea one or possibly the R33 one the R34 (I brought) one the bottom tabs don't line up properly pretty much at the end of the day it's how much your bank balance/credit card limit will allow you

  9. I think for LP, team ownership was very expensive so he's decided to scale down and since that the engineering side makes him more money (he does supply engineering parts for a lot of holden teams)...it's a wise move. from what i've read, LP will be suppying chassis and other engineering bits and services to the Kelly Gang while the Kelly Gang are making the race engines. Bargs back in a commodore...that's good....and he's with Murphy....hmm...i'll comment on this after Adelide next year
  10. If was going to effect MotoGP...most likely the first ones in the firing line is Suzuki and Kawasaki...I couldn't see the Honda, Yamaha or Ducati pulling out of MotoGP I'm very surprised the Subaru have pulled out of WRC...Suzuki...being a small an reletively new to the series would be expected.... I'm hoping with S2000 rules coming in they will come back and maybe more manufacters like Mitsubishi, Toyota, Fiat etc.
  11. I was reading that Jack Daniels Racing as we know it is shutting up shop... I got this for the "Fast And Dangerous" blog on Top Gear AU Website So in other words...the kellys are leaving TWR and going out on their own with technical and engineering help from LP. Apparently like Todd will be taking the JD money with him to this new team and Rick apparently will have Red Bull money....watch this space I guess
  12. you're an idiot....lol j/k (sorry I had to do it your topic heading said so) in all seriousness, don't strees mate...everyone has done it before...I had my dad back into my old car reversing out of the driveway...he didn't even tell me that he hit my car...I only found out when my brother called me and let me know...my dad blamed me because I parked my car in on a slight angle (it's only because he reverses using the mirrors only...no head check) For sure you'll find a front guard and wish you all the best in the repairs...it will come out good as new
  13. let's just say that is the case...what's the best way of fixing it??
  14. Since I'm not going to make a new thread about my issues i'll just add on this one did the coke bottle lid mod and took the car out for a spin...had the boost controller set to 10psi and gave it a stab...get this high pitched noise coming from somewhere in the motor (i get two noises, one is the standart turbo spool and the other is this high pitch noise)...pulled over and checked, there is no noise at idle...gave it a few revs and you can just hear it (obviously it's not going into boost but..yeah) on the drive back turned off the boost controller so its back on stock boost....no noise (or it's very less audiable) don't know what it can be...car still runs fine, still boosting ok on stock...not going to have the boost controller on for now as i can't stand the noise and I'll be taking the coke bottle lid out as the return BOV pipe is not causing the noise any ideas??
  15. Well i find out its not the bov return pipe that's making my leak as my air leak is still there
  16. No need to replace the thermo or the chassis rails!!! you just need to trim about the reo bar a little bit to make it fit and you just have to move the top horn only I would never cut the rails - makes the car slightly unsafe (unless its going track car only) Also did you buy the Stagea kit or the R34 Kit or the R33 Kit...I brought the R34 kit and the bottom tabs did not line up properly (The stagea kit wasn't around when I brought mine)
  17. Hey guys, I want to know if anyone here has done the "coke bottle lid in the BOV return pipe" mod. I've read threads in forced induction section and people get flamed because they want it for the noise My reason is a bit different I just got my cooler installed and took it out for a test spin and i get this weird air leaking sound...its really audiable when my Blitz SBC iD Spec-R Boost controller is on and running a set boost but it's not as much noticable when the controller is off...found that the nipple that is on the BOV return pipe is cracked and I'm thinking that's were the leak is coming from. As a test, I want to put a coke bottle lid to block off the return pipe to see if it will get rid of the leak...(i know that means that i'll get "fully sick uleh" noise but at the moment i'm not worried about it for now...also being an auto I don't know if the stalling side effect will happen) Now it's only a stop gap measure as i will get the nipple fixed (which is very soon)...I just want to test my car with everything on and running (safely of course) The other way is to keep the boost controller off until i get the nipple fixed (which I'm doing now so I can get to work) your thoughts and ideas??
  18. sleeper not to sound smart but put your original post in the "Importing Vehicles" section of SAU. You will get pretty much a definative response as some of the importers (J-Spec, Carzima, Iron Chef etc.) who are apart of SAU and they do check and post and give adivce when needed. this will put your mind at ease
  19. I hope Honda do come back...I reckon they will as an engine supplier again. the rumors are that Toyota may be pulling out as well. So Honda has left F1, Toyota may follow suit in the world of Le Mans - we won't see the factory R10 TDi as Audi is pulling out of LeMans to concentrate in sport car racing in europe sad news all around
  20. Man...I just read all 12 pages and the stuff that people post it's like the freaks have came out of nowhere. Look i use to drive a VR Calais which wasn't confortable. My older brothers had a worked up VH SL/E 5 litre and VL Calias V8 Stroked to a 355. They were all nice...I don't mind some Fords but not a big fan...(working on some fords are a nightmare) What car do I have now...Nissan Stagea?? Why I wanted to be different have a wagon but still have a bit of grunt. As you can see i've grown up with alot of cars around me (big booming V8's, rotaries, turbos)....and every car has it's good and bad points You still can't beat a sound of rumbling V8 (IMO).
  21. well I'll be doing what i've done the soon to be 27 years of my life celebrating my birthday (I'm a Christmas Day baby) and just sit at home playin PC or Xbox
  22. Spotted a pearl white S2 Stagea with a nice bodykit turning down Haig St from Cecil St. South Melbourne . Just noticed it in the corner of my eye while i was having a smoko at work..looked very nice
  23. Well Forza 3 will have these features: Highly detailed real-world car and track models (over 400 cars and 100 tracks). Near limitless customization options for car tuning and custom artwork. A variety of online community features. Highly accurate racing simulation including real world damage. New race modes (drag, drift, oval, point to point racing, etc.) Powerful assist system to help new players get into the game quickly. For me 400 cars seems alot but in comparison to the GT series where the car list got to 700 odd (yes they decided to have every skyline), 400 seems small. they need to have a whole variety of cars this is why the GT series was good IMO... Real world damage??? how far can they go without having the car companies having a big cry and pulling out (that's what happened with GT4 - Polyphony Digital wanted realistic damage modelling but the car companies didn't want it and threaten to pull out because they wanted to keep their car in pristine condition (even for a video-game) as they see it as advertising. Turn 10 got away with it in Forza 2 but the damage modeling was general across the board. 100 tracks - how many tracks is it really? GT does this as well where they count reversed racing track as a track (although it is technically) IMO is should how many real tracks do they have
  24. yeah it's very Wii ish but you'll get use to it the only options I like is that you can turn off the consle by just pressing the guide button (instead of holding the guide button down) and able to install games onto the HDD.. yes you still need the disc in the drive but it uses it to verifiy the game and then it will run all on the HDD I've tested with Midnight Club: LA and GTA IV (two games very notrious for pop-ups and the disc now keeping up with gameplay) - load times improved by about 4 seconds for both and has very minimal pop-up Not too good if you have 20GB HDD but i've got a 120GB HDD and you can fit about 10-15 games on the HDD and still space for profile and saves.
  25. which year model R33 has ABS as an option??
