  1. I think we are in luck...I got this email from Matt at Nistune yesterday It's about $305 if you send your ECU to them and they supply and install the board and send it back to you and the single user software would cost extra (extra $135 i guess). I think they say JECS ECU Only because I think that the S1 Stagea uses the R33 ECU which Nistune can't do unless you want to spend 1k for a Jap board from Dr. Drift (as I said i'm only assuming)
  2. the one thing I like about Rock Band and Rock Band 2 is that they are releasing full albums as DLC I think there is a AC/DC pack out
  3. I wouldn't beleive so, but don't quote me on it It wouldn't harm to retune it again...just depends if you have the cash to do it
  4. I got a response from Matt at Nistune last night (only got it this morning cos I send from my work account). He told me to get the part numbers located on the sticker on the casing and send it to him and he will tell me if its the right one. Having a chat with a couple of mates...they are going "get SAFC Neo". I pefer to get the Nistune as its tunable like a piggy back system but looks stock so it's not cop bait (all depending that my ECU is the correct one) but obviously if my ECU is not the right one...then something like the SAFC is a viable option
  5. the most important question is...where is your amp located? My amp is under my passenger seat and got the power wire running through the ac pipe grommet (so I have long power wire running across the engine bay to the battery
  6. Yeah, agreed, the joys of 50' technology, driving that '67 BRM in GPL although its not real life was an absolute pig of a car I have to agree, one lolipop man cam't look after everything...but then again all the other teams did not have a problem with lolipop men....but i guess if its perfected then it will be a good thing... For me I love to see F1 go back to like 1967 days where the driver drove the car (obviously with latest safety innovations)...could you imagine the carnage...but will definitely show drivers skill and qualtiy racing would most likely ensure (who knows??) lamo...enough said!
  7. the V16 was indeed powerful i was looking at the specs Cylinders: V16 RPM: 12000 Displacement 1487.76 cc Power 410.1 kW (549.9 bhp) Dry sump 50 to 70 lbf/in³ 135 degree V16 alloy cylinder block and crankcase. Cast iron wet liners. Bore 49.53 mm (1.95 in) Stroke 48.26 mm (1.90 in) Fuel system Rolls Royce two-stage centrifugal supercharger with two 3 in (76 mm). SU carburettors. 5.7 bar maximum boost. Fuel Petrol/alcohol fuel Ignition Lucas coil, later four Lucas magnetos. One spark plug per cylinder Valve gear 2 valves per cylinder @ 80 degrees with twin overhead camshafts per cylinder bank, via gear train from the centre of the crankshaft. Hairpin valve springs. Inlet valves 1.25 in (32 mm) Exhaust valves 1.09 in (28 mm) Crankshaft Counterbalanced two piece with 8 plain bearings & 2 main roller bearings. (Later 10 plain bearings.) 5.7 bar of boost (82psi)...WTF Anyhoo...I would love to see next year Webber (one that last F1 drivers I know that shaves with a set square) improves up the grid. I beleive that RBR will move up. The other thing I would like is Honda come out of the wilderness and become competitive again...what in the world happen to Honda Racing In terms of this years championship...Hamilton was more consistant throughout the year than Massa. Hamilton had 3 non points finishes and 1 DNF where as Massa also had 3 non points finishers but 2 DNF's. IMO the turning point was the Singapore GP when Massa drove off with fuel hose still connected. I still don't know why Ferrari went to a light system instead of retaining the lollipop man (which they went to after Singapore).
  8. the lines (the boost line and power connection than run from the CPU like unit)...I got it running around the drivers side. yeah the line i'm talking about is the one that connects to the BOV it has a nipple down the line which is currently blocked off...I don't know that should be connected to the in or out line
  9. I was looking on Nistune and was looking at the prices and I saw this under type 4 boards WC34 Stagea [JECS ECU only] (RB25DET) Now is that for a S1 or a S2 Stagea (sorry I don't know what the difference is)??
  10. *UPDATE* I have installed it all but one line is not installed and i don't know if it has to be installed It the pipe that runs into the BOV... I'll take some picutures and see if anyone has some ideas
  11. don't forget howie, two hose lines running from it
  12. Amen to that..I was going to add some fuel to the fire but I chose not to..while it's quite funny reading it at first...it just gets stupid and ending up hijacking the entire thread. My only question to Ray is...what's wrong with a Stagea?? But anyhoo. let's get back on point. Any brand new car, no matter who its from, if you abuse the hell of them they will break down. No car is created perfect and they all have their little problems Now tranny failure in the GTR - its a slight concern, but to me it also shows what happens if you abuse it to high hell. I haven't read (yet) of tranny failure from normal everyday driving. when that happens then it would be of great concern and ONLY then i would reconsider buying one (if I ever could afford it)
  13. I've got mine hooked up on the firewall (Stagea's engine bay is pretty cramped). The hand cntroller is on the aircon vent (used an ambi-pur clips - eaiser to take off and hide or for setup) It still boggles the mind why Blitz has such a massive solenoid for??
  14. For me, Crysis and Crysis Warhead are great games but it gets very repative and the storyline is Far Cry 1. It's all good and fun to tear down houses and throw chickens and turtles but it does get kinda boring. Far Cry 2 has its boring parts to (the car driving) but it's still a good game.
  15. Currently playin' (and trying to juggle all of these) Red Alert 3 - just started playin it...i laugh at the cheesy russian video...mind you the chicks look nice and I love the splash screen when you load the game Fallout 3 - getting into it, it's a big change from fallout 1 and 2. I don't know if it suffers the same fate as Obvlion (you level up and the whole world levels up with you) NHL 09 (360) - Playin Be A Pro Mode.....takes a long time but very rewarding FIFA 09 (360) - Playin Be A Pro Mode....workin my way up to being Captain of both Liverpool and Australia Midnight Club: LA (360) - Nice graphics...good racing game....difficult but rewarding Now to add on to this list - Smackdown vs RAW 2009 (360)...I currently have it in my bag and can't wait to go home and play
  16. Treyarch made the horrible COD 3 for "last gen" consoles. Let's see if they learnt for the mistakes of the past. I guess using the COD 4 engine is a good start. 4 player co-op is a big advantage...but they need to sort out lag issues or have local servers setup...you know that the PC will but consoles is unknown
  17. I would say 10psi is safe....12psi is ok but you are pushing the absolute limit of the turbo 14psi + will destroy the turbo (this is assuming you have the stock turbo) I've currently running 11psi on my car Stock Turbo Stock SMIC Panel Filter Full 3" Exhaust system Blitz iD Spec R Boost controller
  18. Well I got the boost controller installed and that is running well...a few spikes in auto mode but then again test driving in rain (and on a road that's private property) doesn't help. Just need to play around the settings a bit more I haven't installed my turbo and my cooling pro stealth intercooler yet as I have ran out of funds (rego and insurance time...yay...not) but I will definately have them installed by the new year...The only thing I saw today which its a concern is the nipple on piping from the bov is cracking or cracked and needs to be welded up again (atm the piping is blocked and I don't know if i need to route it)
  19. I thought that the R35 LC system would be like BMW's system where once you have engaged and used the LC you would have to drive for about a 1-2 km's before you can engage it again As alot of people said...this looks like someone just abusing their car and something broke...boo hoo happens everyday.

    Oops

Well at least your laptop is working ok Paul.. I had a simular situation...was at school and listening to my iriver mp3 player and a mate was talking to me and said something about my shirt...from memory I think he said that I should had got in a smaller size...my response was "If I got any smaller, I'll f**king tear it apart" but I said it very loudly (not realising) where the whole class stopped and looked at me... Mate just laughed and I had to my MP3 player taken off me for the rest of the day.. when a mate raises it up with me...we always have a laugh about it
  21. http://www.news.com.au/technology/story/0,...5014239,00.html The long-running debate on an adult rating for games in Australia may have been shut down by South Australian Attorney-General Michael Atkinson. The debate was renewed last March when the Standing Committee of Attorneys-General (SCAG) agreed to public consultation on an R18+ games classification. However Mr Atkinson has rejected plans to publish the consultation results, effectively shelving the discussion process. Unlike film, video games can only be classified up to MA15+, and the law cannot be changed without the consent of the Commonwealth and each state and territory attorney-general. A study released by the Interactive Entertainment Association of Australia (IEAA) this week showed 91 per cent of Australian respondents – both gamers and non-gamers – support an R18+ rating for games. It also showed that the average age of Australian gamers is now 30, and only 1 per cent of all games classified in the last year exceeded an MA15+ rating. Mr Atkinson has spoken out against an R18+ rating for games repeatedly, telling South Australian state parliament earlier this year that children needed to be protected from adult games. A spokesperson for Victorian Attorney-General Rob Hulls, a supporter of the ratings change, told Fairfax while the issue was formally still on the SCAG agenda, "it appears unlikely that there will be unanimity from all jurisdictions to proceed further at this stage with introducing an R18+ category for computer games." Australia is the only developed country without an adult rating for games. All I can say...this guy is a tool!!...what do you think
  22. what is he...the wheel man in a armed robbery
  23. amen to that jake I think what I'm waiting for is for someone like Clutch to post up on here WBM'ing (Whining, Bitching and Moaning) that he got his car impounded for doing something stupid..then I will have a right royal laugh I don't mind if Greame is telling us what happened...the man is doing his job and he is happy to let us know what is happening (or going to happen) At the end of the day...it's a people like the guy that Greame pulled up that tag us all hoons
  24. I just find really hard to deal that I have 18k for my car and now they are down to 15....I guess that what happens when you brought it in Januray this year. I paid 18.5k for mine (with the BBS RG-R Rims) but I can't complain...that was the going rate for a S2 and it was a Prime Edition (electric & leather seats, seat warmers, "woodgrain" interior). manuals back then were still 22-25k oh..well..can't cry now...still happy
  25. Someone on SAU is selling a set http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/-t...t&p=4180222 Mine has some gutter bash scars (got 'em like that)...everybody that has seen my car wants my rims...
