  1. I ran into into him at Cumberland Junction. He was with a group of BMW guys and lost them (he was the one that told me you guys were going through Reefton Spur when I lost you guys)... As I was cruising through the Spur, he caught up to and we basically "spiritedly drove" all the way to Warburton when we got stuck behind a crappy Alto and other cars... Hopefully he's on the forum and hope that GoPro was on going through the Spur
  2. It was a good turn out...wish I brought my mate with me so he could take some photos whilst we were cruising. I lost the group on the afternoon drive (after we stopped and two cars left)....but nevertheless it was a great drive Hope to do it again soon
  3. Welcome to the forums
  4. Well the forecast for Sunday looks good (according to bom.gov.au) Sunday 30 MarchSummary Min 15 Max 26 Partly cloudy. Melbourne areaPartly cloudy. Winds north to northwesterly and light increasing to 15 to 20 km/h during the morning.
  5. I can't remember the reason now (it was a long time ago)...I must had a idiot on the phone....I think it was they won't insure my car for some unknown reason...but I may try again shortly
  6. Well I'm looking for insurance. I'm currently with Just Car and they have basically raped me for the last 4 years...I haven't had 1 reduction in my insurance in 5 years (and that's after I called them when my insurance went from $120 per month to $186 per month) I'm currently paying $156 (total $1879 10.5k agreed value) per month (up from $136 per month) 32 years old rating 1 no accidents. I pay by the month at the moment because my insurance and registration was at the same time I've already called Shannons and basically told me where to go....
  7. I'm assuming your commute to and from work contains some freeway/highway driving?? 11.25 sounds very good...You have to remember Stagea's (S2 I think...dunno if the S1 or the M35 is the same) have a 68L fuel tank in them On the other hand - check out http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/167866-stagea-fuel-economy/ - There is a discussion thread on fuel economy
  8. Hi All Before someone says "Use the search function"...I did search but couldn't find anything definitive. I was going to also add in my topic asking how to change HID's in the S2's but I found RS4StagMan's post from 2008 which is good enough (although no pics) My parkers (the ones in the headlights) have blown and obviouslyy need to be changed out (I got some LED ones to replace them - hopefully they fit through the hole). How do I get them out to change it...I tried on Sunday but couldn't it get out...I dunno if I was pulling the right one (and didn't want to go all hulk on the wrong one) I'm assuming that the parker globe holder is the one I've pointed in red? How do I get it out?? I'm assuming it's rotate it and pull it out? Also how did you guys get your Highbeams out? - I don't have "small japanese hands" (lol) it looks very tight...I'm assuming it's unplug the connecter...rotate the dust cover to the open position and pull it out and out she goes? Thanks in advance guys
  9. Yeah sorry the bom website only shows up to Saturday.
  10. here is the forecast for Saturday at this stage (from bom.gov.au) Saturday 29 March Summary Min 17 Max 23 Shower or two. Melbourne area: Cloudy. Isolated showers. Light winds.
  11. All depends on what mods have you done to your car
  12. I'll keep an eye out - that area is pretty much close to home and there are not many of us (C34's and M35's) around the north/north-west. *EDIT* I saw your reg plate details on the Vic thread
  13. From a email I found from Matt at Nistune (also a Quote I put up on a old thread) "If the ECU has the numbers like 23710-0V8XX then you are in luck... and we can do that with a Type 4 board. JECS is a good sign... means its not a Hitachi ECU" I know because my ECU is 23710-0V812 (I've got a S2 Auto)...From what I can remember is that you can use a Stagea ECU from an auto into your car but you'' need to mod it to fool the ECU that car is in gear
  14. Before I added my number to the Do Not Call Register...I use to get these calls on a regular basis....I loved messing around with them wasting their time..and I did let them do what they wanted to do (be it on a virtual machine)...just like when they rang a guy from Malwarebytes here is the link to that blog http://blog.malwarebytes.org/fraud-scam/2013/04/phone-scammers-call-the-wrong-guy-get-mad-and-trash-pc/
  15. The only thing I want to know is there any difference in the S2 headlights which have the Xennon sticker/label on the front of the headlight and the ones that don't.. To me they look all the same just wondering if the reflectors are different in the lights.
  16. Thanks Dale...I will try that
  17. I finally got my turbo replaced and now running my HKS 2530 that was sitting in the shed for about 2 years How hard was it to run the RaspPi in the your car ironpaw and what are you using for a screen
  18. I'll give you a quick update...I've been working interstate and hadn't had a chance to get the car fixed until a couple of days ago (also had to drive it to station and back a few times - nothing worse than driving and with something squealling from your car and people looking at you..lol) It's finally all fixed, the turbo was pretty much dead...both compressor and exhaust wheels are on and there is some shaft play but when I'd tried to spin the turbine...It's stiffer and can hear the bearings are shot (hence the horrible noise) I've finally got my car to the mechanics and got the turbo swapped out. So now I have the HKS GT2530 in. took out the broken nipple on the BOV return pipe and welded a bolt in its place..mechanic had to make some minor modifications with on with the oil and water feeds (I got to put a sleeve on the water feed pipe - any ideas) The only issues I have left -That it still makes a noise when it comes under boost (above 7psi) - I had this noise with the old turbo as well (I'll take a video later on to demonstrate) - I don't know if the BOV is actually working - what's the best way to test the BOV (and do you guys have any suggestions if I decide to get a new BOV) -Get a Nistune installed and tuned (need to save up cash for this one) - With the 2530 installed I can drive around on 7-10psi but for my own piece of mind, getting the Nistune installed and then tuned for the turbo (I don't really like driving around with a new turbo but untuned)...Also it means I can do my engine upgrades and get a tune done straight away
  19. The correct title for it is '98 Nissan Stagea Autech Version 260RS tuned by Nismo. I found a website that had pictures of the Nismo 260RS (since I can't see Quin's picutres)....the bodykit and the bonnet looks good but the grille is ugly...also it's in that Nismo 400R Yellow colour. It would be a very rare car to find (Nismo even made a R33 4-Door 400R!!!) as they would have been made in very limited numbers (I don't even know if anyone has made a copy of the bodykit and bonnet)
  20. They're actually a factory option on our cars... Also the xennon's are removed and the wires are cut (either nicely or crudely) during compliance as they don't meet the rules of being self levelling and cleaning which is silly because I've seen BMW's and Mercs that have xennons and blind the hell out of me.
  21. Spotted a blue M35 around Gladstone Park yesterday and saw a silver C34 S2 on Woodland St in Essendon this morning
  22. The only thing I hate (and makes it look ugly) on the R33 is the foglamps/indicators on the series 2 GTS-T (and on the Series 2 Stagea 260RS)...It looks like Nissan forgot about foglamps and front indicators and just slapped them on.
  23. yeah that's what he is talking about I'm looking for passenger side weathershield
