*Update* I didn't buy the one that Tangles and I looked at from ebay. found out that the wastegate has been welded shut and required an external wastegate. I have purchase a Blitz SBC iD3 Spec-R Boost controller and a second hand turbo from ebay. HKS GT2535, has no shaft play and has only done 3000km on it. It's come off a R33 GTS-T and was boosted to about 10 psi. Also i get the dump pipe and all the lines as well. i'm not going to use the dump pipe(it's one of those screamer type dump pipes) should get it in about a week. pics

Hey guys.. How hard is it to install Tein Super Wagons on a S2 Stagea?? Can it be done with mates or should I take it to a suspension place to do it. Reason is that I'm might be looking in getting either Tein Super Wagon or Tein GT Wagon coilovers. I've got three places where i can do it 1. mates backyard (have jacks and tools - very backyarder) 2. mates workshop (many tools and hoist) or 3. Take to a suspension place and get them to install it What should I do...let alone what set of coilovers to buy???

RBPOWA - get a Mongoose alarm like I have and get the guys a Stylin' to install it (or supply and install). it has a turbo timer feature so it will work together. They will definately make sure that everything works. After what they did with my car i am mightly impressed and recommend them very highly.

thanks for the advice...it's not like I have gone "stuff what everyone else thinks, I'll do my own thing" - That would have got me a KKR Turbo and forever be told "I told you so" when it goes wrong. But yes a 'quality' turbo is what everybody wants but people can't afford it (like me) and have other upgrades to do as well. (plus target horsepower is not out of this earth) I'm going to bang for buck. Obviously I'm on a tight budget and sometimes looking for the cheap way out may be good. Tangles - yes that turbo is oil and water cooled (it's a standard R33 Turbo that had the wheels changed over to steel)

Do you have an aftermarket alarm system installed?? Never seen self locking doors from the factory???

IMO, that's common, it's the 4WD drive system kicking in..the ATTESA system is like what the GT-R has (guessing here). most of the power is at the rear, once the rear steps out, power will transfer to the front to straighten it up. This is my "first" 4wd car I owened but i have driven alot of 4WD Nisssan's and pretty much the same. For me it felt like the car was going to fall apart. You'll get use to it and surprise alot people off the line (just love that nobody know's it's a 4WD let alone what it is)

the plot thickens... true my guess it would have had one in when it was in Japan. would be good to know what was connected there.. My guess it was a piggyback ECU

did you buy the car from a private sale or was it imported in if it was a private sale - give the guy a call and ask (no harm in that), If he did have a piggyback on it then your halfway there (as in you have the connections for it already) but i would check and make sure the connections where they are spliced are good

Looks like the guys hasn't sold it because he relisted it again...might make him an offer for it. I wonder if $600US (including delivery) is enough to make the seller bite. Pretty much the major thing i'm looking at if i do get it is what condition it's in (even though the seller says its in good condition with no shaft play) I guess a service wouldn't hurt

I guess you would be betting big with SEVS on EVO 9 Wagon. but it does say "Please let us know if you are interested in seeing an application submitted?" I guess they will put in an app to import the car in and clear it under SEVS... maybe one of the importers that get on here can shed more light I would wait and see on this one

Hey guys, Just wondering what exhaust system do you have in your Stagea. I'm looking to upgrade my stagea after I upgrade my Turbo.... I was looking at the HKS Hi-Power 409 cat-back exhaust system and a Xforce cat....front pipe will be a 3 inch one but dunno what yet (JJR, buy one from ebay, or some other name brand) Would that a good setup in your opinion Is they anything else you guys would recommend

If I had the money right now....I would buy it right now....but very nice nevertheless

Well I got a quote from AXT Turbo out in Dandenong to "hiflow" my turbo with new steel wheel and upgarde to 360 degree thrust bearings for $1450 also depends on if my exhaust and compressor housings are usable. price also includes any mods that need to be done if any to oil/water feeds add $550 if I want to be lazy (get them to remove and refit from my car) is that a good price and has anyone here had their turbo done by AXT??
