I've seen under my seat...it's got good clearance. I've got the power/heater seat power harness and its currently in use (i have the leather powered and heated seat option in mine) - I was thinking about installing the amp under the seat just afraid that rear passengers are going to kick the amp. Also I'm going to utilize all the stock mounting holes. do I need to modify the A-pillar tweeters to install new ones??

Hey guys, I'm going to embark on installing my stereo. I have my gear sorted. Just wanting to know where you guys mounted your amps? I want to keep my boot space (hence why I'm not installing any subs) but i just don't know where to mount the amp Any ideas??

Alarms And Immobilisers Questions...
BigDirtyJase replied to GoldZilla's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Hey Chris, all fixed. the silly buggers did not have the turbo timer function turned on so they did and turned down the shock senor as well. It's at a good level but not so sensitive that the car is going to trigger the alarm while the TT is counting down -

BigDirtyJase replied to GoldZilla's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I tried it last night...didn't work..do you want me to disable the impact sensor (by pressing 1 then 2)...Although when i was trying just normally, it went off again...the alarm was was going off but the motor was still running. check on the led light what triggered it off - it said that the impact sensor was triggered...I'll keep trying -
Alarms And Immobilisers Questions...
BigDirtyJase replied to GoldZilla's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I have been doing it like this 1. car is running (of course) 2. turn off, turbo timer is on and counting down 3. I'm pressing 1 (just press 1 not press 1 and hold) You have to excuse me if i have been doing something wrong (first time owner of a turbo car). -
Alarms And Immobilisers Questions...
BigDirtyJase replied to GoldZilla's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Well I got my M80 Installed. Alarm is pretty good. But I'm going to take it back to GL Pro Sound. For some reason when i went for a longish drive (went for a drive with a mate to Frankston and then turned around and went back home). I stopped at a maccas for a stretch and to get something to drink. My GReddy turbo timer was on auto and was up to 9 minutes. No probs turn "off" the ignition, let the turbo timer do its business and arm the alarm. Approx 1 minute after arming the alarm has gone off!! had to disarm and then wait about 2 minutes or so and re-arm. I got back home where it was more quiet and can try to diag the problem. TT was auto set to 2 and a half minutes. got out and arm the alarm. was having a ciggy and I hear what I think is the fuel pump priming or something and then the alarm went off. disarm and rearm and didn't do it again. Anyone had this same issue (does that mean the fuel pump is on its way out or would that be cause the alarm to go off because it thinks someone is trying to start the motor) -
Has anyone used the Omori DIN gauge panels?? The reason I'm asking is because my friend has both the straight and the angled panels selling them for 25 bucks each (second hand). the angled ones looked like the JJR ones but it gives that GTR look and the size for both is 180mm X 59mm What do you guys think??

Well that's the reason I don't Teins...I've got two mates with Tein Super Streets installed (one in a skyline and the other in an 180SX) and my god the ride was frim if not hard. I'm going to some very good suspension places in my area and shop around for some prices.

Help Me Find A Stagea! Wanted
BigDirtyJase replied to Factory 5's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
That one is very good...too bad you can't get the rims..I have them now..lol I brought my Stagea from that guy. I drove that one. goes well. IMO i needs to be raised just a little bit He's got a 1999 RS Four Prime Edition like mine expect the it was the standard rims and has the TV (Mine just had the double DIN head unit) for around 17k. Same amount of km's as the RWD one -
Ok just went around and visited my mate after work to talk shop...he's convinced my to go with Tein coilovers - either Hybrid Wagon or Super Wagon... He's going to get back to me with prices...One thing i'm not going to install is the EDFC Controller from what i read it requires the rear tops to be cut out and not able to use the rear shade (knowing my luck it would have to be cut out regardless) Can you tell me what the difference is between the Hybrid Wagon and Super Wagon Coilovers??

Of course i'm going to replace the shocks on it. Was considering getting Bilstein shocks as well. I've got a few really good suspension places where I live and can give me some good advice (good friend of mine works for at one of those places) A few of my mates have advised me to install Tien goodies. but I really can't justify the pricetag and for me personally I don't see any great use for me

Hey guys. I'm considering to lowering my Stagea. Currently is on standard height with my 18x8's on it. I'm considering lowering it by 1 - 1.5 inches. I want it to look nice and low but able to carry back passengers, cargo and get over speed humps but not make it too illegal. A friend of mine said to get some Kingsprings.. What ideas can you give me and how much would it cost

I've seen one in Melbourne...guy brought it and imported it. Major reason he brought is for Targa Tasmania. That would look good. Wonder where all the spares parts are going to come from

Stagea Ingition Wiring Harness
BigDirtyJase replied to BigDirtyJase's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Well I just installed my GReddy Full Auto Timer.. going really nice. I've got it mounted under the park brake release. Also I haven't connected the speed wire to the ECU (yet - still considering it) The funny thing I noticed when me and my best mate while installing the timer is that the park brake safety wire can't be connect as the footbrake is wired differently (On normal handbrakes - it's should be 12V when the handbrake is on and 0V when the handbrake is off therefore the car will turn off as the turbo timer will turn on. but on the footbrake it's 0V when the footbrake is on and 12V when it's off) That sounds very weird..Anyone else experienced this and is there is a work-a-round?? -
Well i'm going to get a combo for my plate (Victorian). One standard size for the rear and one slimline for the from...to me it's looks nice

Thanks for the advice Chook... I'm going send it back to the guy from ebay and get my refund...Better to be safe than sorry -
I just brought normal Nissan keys - about 13 bucks from Nissan spare parts. I was thinking about getting the one with the keyless entry (because i've got one already) but at $365...no way i'm paying that much for that (well i'm getting my alarm installed next week - there's my keyless entry. lol)

Hey guys, I just brought the Apexi (looks like a copy) pen shape turbo timer. Now as per usual it did not come with the wiring harness. Now where can i go out and get the ignition wiring harness for the apexi turbo time to suit the Stagea??
-
I was searching around the net for din templates and i found this one it's a generic 3x 52mm Gauge DIN Insert from egauges.com (US Site) and the measurements are 190mm X 60mm (doesn't have the depth size but it looks like 10mm) its only about $17AUD (before shipping) but to order it and ship it to Australia is a pain in the ass (they require additional identification) but I can send it to my cousin in the states who will then send it on to me Would that fit in the Din Slot of the Stagea??
-
Well...what are correct bulbs to get I went out and brought H3 (12V/55W) globes for the high beams (they have the wire coming off it) and T10 (12V/.5W I think) wedge globes for the parkers Are they the right ones??
-
Sorry Ryan can't have 'em lol One thing that I still can't believe is how quiet the car is. Had my best mate test drive the car and I couldn't hear it flying down the street. Now I'm going to install a 3 inch cat-back exhaust (got a 3 inch cat-back exhaust from a skyline sitting in the shop that would defiantly need modifying to go in my car) Also I'm going to lower the car (set of King Springs - CBF for something like Tien Super Streets, I don't see the value for me). I'm thinking around 1 - 1.5 inches all around. Reckon that will look good and would that be legal in terms of ride height
