  1. Do you still have drivers side mirror for sale Also do have the BOV return pipe for sale
  2. I echo Wolverine's statements Nistune is great for the price and also stealthy since it's a daughter-board and is installed on the ECU itself and you get to keep all the factory stuff PowerFC being a complete ECU solution will give you more bells and whistles but personally the hand controller is cop bait... Nistune will allow you to tune yourself (with the individual licence) but you need to have some tuning knowledge When you send your Nistune away for them to install it, they will install the stock tune so once you plug it back into your car, your car is driveable straight away (I would find a official nistune dealer who can supply, install & tune for you) - whereabouts do you live 99RS4?
  3. UPDATE: After spending new years away, I finally picked up a jack, jacked the car up and dropped the cat converter and checked the dump pipe and there is no evidence of exhaust fan bits....I took off the piping from the cooler the plenum and the turbo and found the nipple that is on the BOV return pipe (which appears to be the stock) has completely cracked and I can pull it off or plug it back in (I didn't have time to check the cooler pipes as I ran out of time).... I have two questions. 1. is it best to weld it back up or plug the hole (since I have it blocked off currently) 2. I've quickly looked my HKS 2530 and realised that there is no nipple on the elbow coming off the turbo (the stock turbo does have one which one of the boost controller lines is connected to)...do I use that nipple or need to connect it somewhere else (all the piping that connects my intercooler to the turbo and crossover pipe is stock)
  4. I've got a second hand HKS 2530 in the shed...will the standard oil and water lines work??
  5. Yeah I'll check the cat tomorrow....my jack has just died... If the worst case has happened...how hard is it to remove the turbo from the car?
  6. Just checked all the connections, everything seems and feels pretty buttoned up....
  7. Hey Guys, I was driving home tonight from a mates place. Turned onto the Ring Road from the Hume Highway and accelerated normally up to 100-105 k/ph...I cruised for a bit and went to accelerate again started to hear a horrible noise from the passenger area of the engine bay and had no boost....I turned off my boost controller (normally I'll have it set at 7.0 PSI) and nursed the car back home.. The car idles fine, can't see any smoke blowing from the exhaust (then again it's night time when it happened so I'll try again in the day time). The only mods is an turbo back exhaust, return flow intercooler and boost controller (set to 7.0 PSI)... What should I look at first and what should I be looking for?? If it's something major...it's going to suck because a) no cash (due to being Christmas time) and b) it's new years so most places are closed... http://youtu.be/WZkrXaVx6lM - here is the video I took when I was close to home...you may need to turn the volume up to hear the noise (and pardon me for starting the bleeding obvious in the video)
  8. I'm slowing getting through this game. The storyline is awesome...typical Naughty Dog and the graphics are really really good...Like what most people have been saying that is one of the games that is pushing the PS3 to its limit. I haven't tried multiplayer yet
  9. It looks good. Too bad for a smoker like me need the ashtray..
  10. Hmm...might work (painted black on a white car)
  11. See when it came to Foza 4...to me it was just Forza 3 with a slight update (all the car models looked the same from FM3 to FM4). Forza 5 looks nice but the Xbone is out for me for the moment The Crew looks good but need to see how the MMO part will work out (cloud saves and stuff like that) You have to remember Sony's other first party studio Evolution Studios is releasing Drive Club as a launch day title and I guess PD doesn't want to steal their thunder (which would be the first competitor for Forza 5 on next-gen) and Drive Club looks good and sounds good too
  12. yep that's it...that's the Carbon Canister Is it important...I would say definately...it's for emissions (it's job is to store fuel vapours from the tank and then purges into inlet manifold)... I would replace the line since that is the hose is broken as you have mentioned.
  13. Is there any places in Melbourne that does this??
  14. If you haven't seen the E3 2013 Trailer If you look back at the PS life cycles, PD have always released 2 GT games per console. GT1 released in '97 - 3 years into the PS1 life cycle. PD's first full on racing title (They did make Motor Toon GP and Motor Toon GP 2 in '94 and '96) GT2 released in '99 - pretty much at the end of the PS1 life cycle - two disc game pretty much showed off the PS1 at full tilt and PD also cashed in on the success of GT1 GT3 released in 2001 - pretty much at the start of the PS2 life cycle GT4 released in 2005 - technically at the end of PS2 life cycle (even though the PS2 stopped selling in Japan as of 2012) - pushed the PS2 to the limit GT5 released in 2010 - 4 years into the PS3 life cycle - although it should have been a launch title GT6 releasing in 2013 - pretty much at the end of the PS3 life cycle. this is what GT5 should have been...it seems PD had been constantly working on this when GT5 came out (since Kaz is a perfectonist and I beleive he was pushed by Sony to release GT5) - seems to show off what the PS3 can do when pushed to the limit I know that Kaz has admitted that a PlayStation 4 version of Gran Turismo 6 is under consideration as Polyphony has a next-gen version "in mind"...following their MO over the last three consoles then it will be GT7 and most likely come out sometime in 2014-2015. At least coding wise it would be a lot easier to work off the PS4 than the PS3. The other that Kaz has said that he would love to do another Tourist Trophy game (remember the PS2 game which was basically a bike version of GT) but he fears that GT will pretty much consume PD and be constantly pushing GT games
  15. Can't wait for BF4...the video of the multiplayer map in China looked great. 32v32 buildings collapsing
  16. I agree on black...it looks great....I don't think you can do it with any other colour
  17. What type of boost controller are you using?? The stock boost solenoid which (the one on the passenger strut tower) is controlled by the ECU so when the engine is below 4500RPM then it's running 5psi and then after 4500RPM its running 7-8 psi...usually if you are running a boost controller, this is bypassed and plug is earthed so the ECU is told that its in high boost mode The other photo you grabbed is a MAP Sensor for boost. To quote QWK32 - "It seems that the only function of this MAP sensor is purely to let the ecu know if a certain boost limit, which is ~14psi, has been reached or exceeded and plays no part in the general running of the engine or tune" Now you're saying its the hose from the left of the blue connector switch (which is the Canister Purge Control Valve). That hose runs to a hard line that is under the crossover pipe that connects to another pipe which runs all the way to the canister on the passenger side (right at the front)... Hope it helps (I have a diagram of the vacuum hoses for RB25DET if you need it)
  18. Sorry to bring up an old thread I'm assuming the LH side strips are the passenger side ones Are they still available as I need a passenger side one
  19. Hey guys, I was wondering if any of the guys here who can read Japanese can translate the pic attached. It's a page from the Stagea Owners Manual and i'm guessing it's for the lights. A friend of mine has brought a S2 and some of his lights are blown out and doesn't know what bulbs are needed (also might be good once translated to add it to the parts section) On a side note...I love looking at the owners manual...not because of the Japanese text...but some of the illustrations they use Thanks in advance
  20. I use 10W40 in my car...no issues
  21. It's channels 5 & 35 are the emergency channels I'm still tossing it up....If I do go, it's going to be a very long day for me.. but at the moment...I'm leaning on coming
  22. Well from later this year it would be validated since the VF Commodore will be sold as the Chev SS I remember seeing a commodore with the Vaxhaull badges on it
  23. No...they will do it with the Cruze
  24. As I said to my mates....so commodore drivers put chev badges on their car because it came with a chev motor (although some idiots put them on their V6 Commodore or on VP/VR/VS Commodore)....why do i see VL drivers put Nissan badges on their car It could be worse.....I remember seeing a R31 Skyline Silhouette GTS SVD and the guy put a Ralliart sticker on the rear window....what a dick!!!
