  1. Id say its got a dribbling injector. one way to find out is put a fuel pressure gauge on it, when you turn the engine off quickly block off the fuel lines so all the pressure remains in the rail, if it drops still then its more than likely leaking out an injector. I wouldnt bother with the injector cleaner in the tank, take it to a workshop and ask for a carbon clean. Or put up with it untill you decide to go bigger.
  2. Dont use anything but a genuine manifold gasket, they are fairly expensive but are worth it in the long run. Go to your local exhaust shop, they usually keep a range of studs and nuts. You will have fun drilling the old studs out too.
  3. They only ran hoses to the stock throttle bodies to prevent the butterfly sticking open in very cold conditions, wouldnt bother with the hassle of running them. Then again i wouldnt bother with the stock one after seeing the difference a decent one can make.
  4. Hey there, I fitted a greddy plenum to WHITER33's car, the plenum was a little tricky to fit. I didnt end up fitting the auxilliary air control valve, left it off because his car runs a haltech ecu, was able to use the stepper motor for cold start idle up. On the stepper motor it has 2 hose inlets, one runs to the AAC valve, the other to a position infront of the throttle butterfly in the cooler pipe. I simply ran a hose between the stepper motor and the cooler pipe and blocked off the other end of the stepper motor. We ended up fitting an 85mm hypertune billet throttle body. As for coolant hoses etc, i blocked off the 2 small hoses running to the factory throttle body. The top radiator hose fits, just gotta turn it upsidedown or flip it over, you'll work it out. You will also need lengthen you wiring to the stepper motor. The job wasnt that bad to do, but you will appreciate it more once finished. Makes things alot easier.
  5. The 33 box is common for this, the fourth gear synchro gets a little tired and eventually wears the input shaft. If you are hard enough on them the selector fork will break in half. I rebuilt one with new bearings, synchros and 3rd/4th selector fork and it lasted just over 12 months, in the end it broke another selector because the worn input shaft wouldnt allow a smooth meshing.
  6. Jim berry all the way. I put one in my mates 300rwkw 33 over 18 months ago, copped abuse all the time and his girlfriend drove it to work everyday. Recently did a heap of mods and its now making 400rwkw, clutch hasnt even looked like slipping. Jim berry also guarantees his clutches not slip. He told us he wants to go for a ride in the car if it does!!
