Hi guys, If nothing goes wrong, will be taking delivery of my R34 next week. As the car does not come with an alarm/ immobiliser, will need to install one to as per my insurance requirements. Im not looking for something fanciful, just a standard alarm/immobiliser that comply with the Australian Standards. Any advice on what models or price i should be looking at? Most importantly, where can I get it installed at a good price? Thank you Cheers

Thanks for the advice, Nice S14 u got there =) Did u get the GTT in the end? Hows the cost of maintenance for it? Im very apprehensive in getting a turbo cos this will be my daily driver and i dont think my gf can drive one on her P's. Also, hows the reliability of the Tiptronic box? Hi Reggie Thanks for the input. In fact im pretty confused about the specs of the NA sedans as per my earlier post. I referred to the website u have posted and for 98-00 models there are no GTV models. only GT and GTX . GTV models are only available from series 2. As for the specs. my understanding is GTX has front strut bar xenon headlamps and 16 inch rims over the GT spec... not sure if thats correct though Need further advice on this Regards

thanks for the tip, i didnt know that stock car commands a higher price saw quite a few AT turbo GT-Ts going at arnd 18k... very attractive but im sticking to NA due to insurance and P plater laws haha yup u r right i sold my NA MT R33 GTS S2 for arnd 11k a couple of weeks back and since regretted it =P

Hi guys I have another qn on the differnces between the R34 GT-X and GT sedan (1998-2000 S1 model) Apart from the front strut bar and xenon headlamps, are there any other differences interms of the factory specifications? Thanks!

Hi Im in the market for a R34 and looked through a couple of vehicles. Noticed that some of them has a) rust in the welding seams around the strut tower bars b) bits of rust in the spare tire compartment but theres no evidence of leaking seals. Are these common issues? Any cause for concern? Thank you

Thanks for the reply~ I have to get an auto non turbo cos my fiance is on P's and can only drive auto.....tired of being her driver so its time that i get driven around haha tats why im seriously thinking of a R34........I saw a couple of NA R34 4 doors selling arnd 15K...very tempting but i wonder if the NA R34's performance is comparable to my NA 33

I am driving a NA S2 R33 as well, experiencing similar problems when im idling especially when the engine is cold...till today, i cant figure out wats wrong with it.....didnt notice any leaks from the injectos though hows ur consumption like? btw nice S2 u got there

Hi guys thanks for the advise... took the cheapest way out...did a stock muffler swap..and guess wat...i just passed the test..90db... was told norm for R33 stock muffers arnd 80-85...

These cars are taken from the Nissan collection which used to be located at the Zama warehouse. If i recall correctly, they do keep a unit of each production model in their collection. so the mileage are usually very low. I have sat in that R34 before...its as new as u can imagine =)

Hi guys, the biting point of my clutch is rather high and im thinking of adjusting it. but i was told that the R33 clutch cannot be adjusted and if the biting point is too high, its most probably wearing out and has to be replaced. Is it true? THanks for the assistance
