Thanks guys, some interesting reading. Is any body out there running a cheap as chips amp, or heard the results of one?

I have not had much experiance with sound systems, just usually hand over my money and the shop does the rest. So I was wondering about the difference between a very cheap no name amp VS somthing like an Alpine amp. I have just purchased a Alpine 10" Type- R to replace the 12" JL Audio Sub I have at the moment. But I am also looking for a dedicated amp to run it. I have found a cheap no name amp running max 1600W for half price making it $150. Compare this to an Alpine amp running 500W being $200+. Is there any differnce in sound quality going to a cheaper amp?? At the moment I am only running high quality gear, hertz top end speakers all round, Alpine head and amp. Just don't want to throw away the current quality I have over a hundred dollars saved on an amp. But if I can save the money I would jump at it. Greg.

Thanks for you help guys. I have seen the bright silver backed ones for sale and I am not interested in those. But the others which use the orginal brake surrounds look the business. Thanks, Greg

Last night in Joondalup I saw led afterburner brake lights on a silver r33 and I really want them. The car had personalised plates but don't remeber what it said. Has anyone seen these for sale before and where to get them as they make the rear look really interestinging at night. Thanks guys, Greg.

Needed a towbar for a work promotion of sorts, but I turned it down. Not worth putting a hole in the bumper of my new car for a few extra dollars a week. Thanks anyways guys.

Need to have a removable tow bar put on my R33 GTS-25t. I refused to have one put on my r32, but it made work very difficult for me. I need to tow a light trailer a couple of times a week and can not afford to run multiple cars. So I am looking for a solution that is cheap, easy and won't ruin the look of my car (like cutting a big hole in my rear bumper). My Fathers Jag came with a removable J style tow bar which is fitted vertically with a long bar that comes down and around the bumper so when it is not attached you would never know the car had one. Has anyone ever seen these for sale? And where? Has anyone done this before and have any tips? Greg.
