  1. the difference in sound should be noticable. Keep in mind the jaycar splits have been compared to splits in the $300 mark. So they r well worth the money. But the Hertz splits u have chosen should be very good splits and a good choice. Just make sure they r installed proply, that is solid mounting place and later on spend some money on Dynamat on the doors, which is a sound deadener
  2. hmmm, the m80s comes with shock sensors, ultrasonic sensors r optional. Ive got a m80g, same as m80s but with glass break sensor. I get false alarms also. You sure its not the shcok sensors that r causing it?
  3. should be fine. 40wrms is plenty for daily listening, and can go pretty loud. But 100wrms would be better but not necessary.
  4. neither. Kicker and Soundstream r more better for amps and subs. For front splits brand to look out for r Hertz, Boston, Focal, DD, Morel, Rainbow, Dynaudio, etc. Last 3 r quite expensive. All these brands, except last 3, have something for each price range. There all good just depends which u think r better, which can only be done by listening to them. Some might have harsh tweeters, lack of midbass compared to others, etc Also the best cheap splits r the Jaycar 6.5" Kelvar Splits that can be had for $150 You can get these from: www.fhrxstudios.com/ Doran Pro Audio
  5. ye but with that power potential, as if u wouldnt be tempted to feel the power. Its pretty easy to drop your foot too
