Cheers ruby, I dont actually know how to ride a road bike and dont intend on learning any time soon, we're actualy harvesting an R6 engine and using it in a "go cart" (think of something similar to formula ford), so lots of things need to be redesigned. i'm looking into the exhaust atm and because of its positioning/competition rules it needs to be drasticaly changed from stock. I was under the impression that the 05 and 06 engines were the same, but the purchase order went out today and we are getting an 05. I was going to head down to a bike shop if this fell through, but i'll cross that bridge when the time comes As far as the muffler goes its not exactaly 110 dBA max its under particular test conditions that have a few loop holes like pointing the muffler tip up so that sound isn't directed at the mic, other competitors were using stock honda mufflers last year we just made one from scratch. In an attempt to reduce weight and get more air flow i'm looking into off the shelf/aftermarket/oem products that we could adapt... so perhaps the better question is, do you have an old muffler or 2 you want to sell cheap? =P thanks again

Hey, it's a long shot i know but does anyone on here own an Yamaha YZF R6 (05/06 or any year for that matter)? i would love to get a look at one - not a ride, i just want to measure the exhaust dimensions (so probably better if i visit you, measuing a hot exhaust could get painful). im sure i could find a 6pack for your help and anyone got much experiance with bike mufflers? ruby? need to look into a cheap free flowing one (thats not a straight pipe as i need to be under 110 dBA) thanks for any help in advance

so krishy, your saying that mark should have moved off the racing line just because someone was trying to overtake him? clearly there are no team orders, so why should mark pull over to let someone past if hes in the lead and able to keep it? =\

oh, i really hope krishy didn;t put money on ferarri XD esp after that quali for alonso, would have given him driver of the day if it wernt for letting schui pass him on the last lap!! good to see kubica up there, i recon he'll also be one to watch in the future! hopefuly mark is doing enough to stay in an RBR seat for next year as well! (REALLY dont want massa taking his seat!) ahh, yes and congrats to mark, seems like when he has a clear track he'll drive away from everyone!! (tho when he gets stuck behind someone he cant overtake)

oh i just figured out how bad monaco is going to be for traffic, esp in Q1.... eeeek!! =\

things are looking good for RBR this weekend... friday P2 is normally when they fill up and do long tyre wear testing etc yet they still topped to board

wow! actually looks pritty good sled!!! tho i dislike the the buttons/ports up the top (mainly because they are a pain to run neatly and collect lots of dust) but other than that excelent case! edit: still not sure how those front fans get air tho....

also remember that the emissions that are produced from creating and using the ethanol are then used to feed the next crop (we burn/produce the fuel, create CO2, plants feed off of CO2 to grow, in turn release O2, we cut them down and use them again) and that is alot more environmentally friendly than petol

yeah, i just dropped it back to them because run in had finished and there were other oil leaks (when i first got it back there was a leak from the head and power steering, then a leak from the oil relocation kit) and now this XD seems very wrong, apparently it only happens when the it heats up if its just sitting there nothing much will happen... so its only a problem if i drive it =( ah well... just means another week+ delay on getting my car back, but it'll be fixed and thats the important part

boostworx are looking into it now (as they sold it to me/buit and installed it), but yeah, shaun is once again going above and beyond!!! from the description he gave me it just seems to be from the metal itself, its coming threw the walls etc, nothing to do with welding etc droplets of oil just appear on the outside of the sump =\

for anyone that likes their high octane super large baffeled and gated sump extensions and is thinking about buying one sometime soon, perhaps hold off on buying one as mine is apparently weeping oil =\

yeah, i think its a bit BS too and i dont think it'll happen but just putting it out there, how did the other engines get the extra 70hp more since there was a freeze on engine development and renault was allowed once already to match the competitors performance??

whats even more supprising to my as alonsos problems over the weekend... didn;t think i'd see a ferarri DNF this season unless someone drove into it =\ if reno get to unfreeze there engines... wow, could make this championship a 2 horse race
