Hey I've got a series 2 r33. It's pretty much stock except for splitfire coilpacks and a heavy duty clutch. I'm getting a turbo back highflow exhaust in the next week or two and am going to get a turbosmart boost controller at the same time and up it to 10psi. The issue: For these mods, is it worth getting a justjap cooler for a few hundred more than an r34 smic, or is an r34 smic all that is needed? Can more boost be run (say 12psi) be run safely through an r34 smic as compared to the r33 smic? With 12psi is in unrealistic to aim for a mid 14?? Also, does wrapping the dump and front pipe of the exhaust in heat wrap make much of a difference? Is it worth doing? Thanks to whoever helps me out. Steve.
