Then when i pick a heavier set person up they can't get in the car. I've thought about it trust me:P Nothing would be a bigger hint for them to lose weight though ha ha. By the way for anyone interested i'm 81kg and about a size 34 and fit it with room to lean and pull my phone out comfortably etc. Good luck!

Rb25 Replacement Turbo? High Flow?
JET-25L replied to sriver killer's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
or maybe your boost controller was fine and your gauge wasn't:) -
So you can't open it from the inside or outside... and you can't lock it. Why would you need to lock it if you can't open it:p Is the handle on the passenger side loose if u pull it up? Like as in the handle is no longer attached to the mechanism inside? If it's not there's no reason it shouldn't open lol... just pull harder! You tried playing with the key in the passenger door and see if it does anything? Sure you have but just asking.. coz that doesn't require the central locking unit to be working to lock/unlock. Otherwise just use the window as the door from now on...........

G'day, Just purchased a small type carbon cannister and i'm wondering if there is anyway to test it? I put it on and the idle is really rough it hunts around badly and eventually stalls. It's like there's a big leak but all the hose clamps etc have been done up.. and when i put the larger one back on it runs fine. Really want to change to this smaller one so yeah any ideas?? And yes i've put them on the right ones as far as i'm aware. Although if someone could tell me exactly where the bottom one goes... I just blocked it off because the large type has only 3 fittings and the small has 4. Although it makes no difference to the idle if it's blocked or unblocked. Thanks!

Yeah there's been heaps of rebuild threads done so far.. The cheapest and fastest option for you might even be to find a good condition and running motor and drop that in and keep yours for parts etc. Rb25 long motors are only about $800-$900ish now which is a couple days work to change over although if you're not after big power it might be the best solution. Really depends what your future goals for the car are. Could even put the second hand motor in and get the car going again but also be able to rebuild the blown one over a period of time. You could easily spend a fortune rebuilding yours with all good quality parts and by a good workshop however if you're not quite sure of what you want to do with the car in future and you can't afford to have it off the road for a few months then that extra money you would have spent on the rebuild you could have spent getting the computer and the second hand motor and slapping it all together with your good parts already and off you go again. You always have the chance of being in the same position you're in now in a few months though with the new engine but there's no way to know that.

wd40 - $5 hydraulic trolley jack 2500kg - $60 (put under front) use your jack in the boot under the side. (you now have two jacks supporting your work area) Borrow 3 ring spanners (13, 15 and 17) if you don't have your own set already. $15 for the gasket maybe I daresay that one day you will be needing to get under the car anyway so why put off buying a jack lol. Then you can say you've done it yourself and if you have to pull the turbo off down the track you already know how to do half of it. At the end of the day it's up to you mate:)

Rb25 Replacement Turbo? High Flow?
JET-25L replied to sriver killer's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yep you are one in a million take it to the strip and run a ten already. I'd be surprised if the standard dump pipe could even flow 14psi.. as well as the turbo.. among other things... I ran my highflow on standard ecu for about a year driving around on it fine. It had a bit of a flat spot up the top but apart from that the ecu seemed to want to play ball. That said i would much rather drive a car with an ecu (power fc/microtech) with a standard turbo than a highflow and stock ecu having had both now. The best thing about highflow turbos if you go that path is there is always people wanting to buy them... coz they're cheap and effective and produce quite good results. So down the track if you want to go to a bigger turbo then you should be able to sell the highflow for near what you bought it for provided it's in same condition. -

Can i t-piece the vac line that runs to the profec b from the map sensor line running to the computer or do i have to route it all through the firewall and directly off the plenum. Already run the line through to the bay and realised it is about a foot short of where i wanted it to go:p Cheers.

I have for sale either 4 r33 Series 2 splitfire coilpacks. 95-97 model DIS005 with internal ignitors. Will sell as 2 or 4 depending what the buyer wants. Great for spares or if you've cooked a couple! $120 for 2 - delivered $220 for 4 - delivered Located in Townsville. Steve. -

Great bov i had one originally on my car and loved it. Adjustability on it is really good too as you can set it for lots of flutter or just one big whoosh if u loosen it right up. Plus they look great too:) -

Help Something Not Right With My R32 Gtr
JET-25L replied to 2-3's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
No they would be fine as the problem would be they're not getting enough spark. You would ruin coilpacks if you had way too much spark or if they were charging for too long which is not your case. -
They come up on here for sale all the time as a set of 6. My set just got delivered yesterday. Just need to take the time to search through the for sale section.. Personally i don't think there is a better bang for buck option. New nismo 555's are like 1100-1200... or you can get s15 480cc injectors for 400. $100 and give them a clean and they're as good as new anyway!

spray some wd40 on the threads and see if you can get the nuts off. If you can't then worst case take it to an exhaust shop and they will oxy them off. I actually couldn't get the ones from the cat off and i went to an exhaust shop and they cut them off and just charged me for 2 bolts and i went back home and continued doing it. Really there's only like 6 on the turbo and 2 on the cat. After doing it a few times i find that easier just laying on the ground and doing them all like that. Otherwise get cut up hands etc. All depends how much patience and time you want to spend on it.

Want 260rwkw Out Of My High-flow!
JET-25L replied to R 2 THE J's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Interesting thread as i've also got around 230rwkw and aiming for around 250rwkw ish before xmas. Just need to put these injectors in and get it in for a tune. Pity i haven't already or i could tell you how much power i have because i have most of the mods you are considering (except i have a microtech lt16). I'm only going to have mine tuned on about 18psi though. I wouldn't worry about the fuel pressure regulator. Only reason I got one is because i wanted to get a bit more out of the standard injectors on the initial ecu tune and make sure it was all running fine. The nismo/tomei pumps are really good i'm very happy with that purchase and putting one in is easier than changing a wheel. One thing i found I definitely needed (you will too) was an electronic boost controller because if you're going to be pushing the turbo up close to its limits you're not going to want the unreliability/spiking that comes with a manual boost controller and then blowing the turbo as a result. If you want to do it on a budget: *Power fc without hand controller 900-1000 *Z32 afm s/hand - 250 *s15 injectors (480cc drop straight in) - 400 *profec b (new on ebay) $415 or s/hand around 350 *take it in for a tune on the pfc 450-650 hope that helps. -
Skyline Drivers Losers?

May I ask why driving a vl would give the owner a bad attitude? Please don't associate cars with personalities as there are good and bad apples in every bunch.
