  1. Thanks fellas appreciate the information. So a well looked after RB26 with 125,000km on it should be okay right? And when getting a compression test done, what would ideal results be? (Just so i have a decent idea).
  2. I'm currently looking for an R33 GT-R. I've found some nice examples that have hit 120,000kms plus. In general, how long do these engines last for? Do they reach 200,000kms without issues? I worry as I have never heard of any RB26's reaching 200,000kms before I've only heard about the problems etc. Should i be staying away from cars over 100,000kms? I'm experienced with 4G's and 1J/2J's but i'm very new to RB26's. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated guys. Cheers.
  3. I found this thread useful. I'm currently looking for an R33 GT-R V-Spec to replace my Evo. Thanks for the info in regards to overfilling by 1L
  4. Hey Andy, do you still offer installation at Ryde? You did the install in my M35 last year. I'd like to get one installed in my Evo which has a factory Sat Nav screen with TV. Please let me know. Cheers!
  5. The Evo is an awesome little car but where the fark is the torque at? I'm constantly having to downshift to overtake if i'm in 5th cruising on the freeway. Smelly little four bangers Seriously, i love the Evo to bits but no matter what, it will never EVER sound like an RB26 There's something about the sound of an RB26 on open throttle that raises the hair on the back of my neck.
  6. Thanks Bob Stock standard, how much would the 260RS make at all fours? I know the most stock manual Evo's dyno at 150awkw.
  7. 270awkw! WTF MAN! LOL Visited my local dealer today who has a nice Series 2 260RS (link). Got offered $15,000 for my car plus i throw in some Evo spares and i put cash towards the Stagea ($3000-$4000). Not a bad deal but the Stagea is essentially a 13 year old car so i don't know. Going to have to have a good think about it. I like the Stagea though.
  8. HAHA i knew you were going to pick up on that If only i had the cash to make the M35 faster back then. I did like the pulling power it had though. Lots of torque in stock form. The front bar looks nice in your avatar btw. What kind of power is it making now?
  9. Thanks for your answers so far fellas Ah, so that's the 300rwkw one on Ebay? I'm going to have to test drive one. I might offer my local dealer $50 for a good test drive. I was going to buy the replica 260RS that was for sale on here last year but couldn't allocate the funds to meet the sellers price back then. Now i'm in a better position, i'd like to start looking for one. But that would mean selling the Evo (which i don't mind). Has anyone had much issues with their 260RS? If i'm to organise a compression test, what would be ideal results?
  10. I currently own an Evo 7 (factory standard but full updated 2007 Evo 9 exterior conversion). It has leather interior, factory GPS/DVD/TV/CD/FM-AM/MD player. It's a great car. I love it to bits. I also used to own an M35 Stagea which was so comfortable, luxurious and spacious but it was way too boring for me. I've always had a crush on the 260RS. Having the sound and performance of the RB26 coupled with the practicality and space of a station wagon is nothing short of the ultimate daily driver. I also like the look of them too (particularly the square tailgate and the wing). Now before i decide on trading the Evo in for a 260RS, i have a few things i need to ask; What's the average fuel consumption on a stock 260RS? Have any of you 260RS owners gotten sick of your car yet? Reliable motoring experience with the RB26 or a headache to own? Do any of you 260RS owners every wish you bought an Evo instead? (I'm being serious ) Thanks fellas or

  12. Hey Jethro, how is it going with the bov problem? Sorted yet? Keep me updated mate
  13. Cruised with a white R33 GT-R on the M4 from Concord up until Cumberland Highway tonight. Farken beast of a car. I couldn't keep up with you for shit
  14. No it won't ruin the turbo. Up to you though, wether you prefer a "chhhhh" or a *fart* sound Nah, but seriously, you can just buy a universal silent bov if it really bothers you.
  15. That fart sound from the stock blow off valve is embarassing. Especially if you've got chicks in the car From outside they look at the car and it looks like it's new but little do they know when you boost a bit, it poos in it's pants.
  16. That "rubbing" noise is the blow off valve. It's almost like a brrrrruuuu as you slowly let your foot off the pedal during full boost, isn't it? It's quite common. You can fix this by blocking the blow off valve off or replacing it with a different one.
  17. HAHAHA awesome cake man. The tail lights came out good.
