  1. Had to do some work in the city yesterday, got back to the car at 3:35pm to find it towed and could see it down the road.. RIP $405 (Glad it was the work car and not my STI at least) Expensive 5 minutes (turned to clearway at 3:30pm)
  2. What happened man?
  3. I was just using the words provided ebrake
  4. It was a great success, the ebrake is normal old school style. DIY ramps worked like a champ
  5. Wondering if the 4wd system will just shoot them under the car.. hrmm we'll see, maybe ill just lock the diff when I go up .
  6. That's how they getchya! Made some DIY wood car ramps to make installing front lip easy tonight - winning! inb4 dead
  7. I wonder if we will be talking about 88e in 2019
  8. On another note, just bought a genuine WRX / STI cargo tray so I stop destroying the carpet with dirt bike gear.. Decided to go dirt riding today of all days, was not a wise decision.
  9. what are you using 660 acres for?
  10. Yeah makes it tempting to move state if you can find a decent enough F/T job and not care about leaving Melbourne behind.. could get a pimping place if you took a few hundred K with you. Look at Dandenong/Hallam/Noble park etc as well.. once cheap and nasty.. now $$$. My mate just got a 3 bedroom townhouse for over 600k! The rental I'm staying in Vermont 3 bedroom townhouse as well, they are selling it wanted 900+.. went to auction last Saturday, bidding started at 800k.. not one bid, now dealing with even more annoying opens. FML
  11. I need to get to Japan.
  12. Was checking out Unit prices where I bought 3-4 years ago (Clayton) now that I don't get around the area anymore, soo surprising what similar places are going for now tempting as to sell would easily be around 200k in the pocket after deducting the remaining mortgage & selling costs.. Considering it to then use as a deposit for building / buying our own 'proper', "forever" house.. but still like that it's a nest egg, I guess we could use the equity of it to borrow on? is that a stupid idea?
  13. Netgear still seem to be pretty standard / decent Depends how crazy you want to go I guess, the Asus ones look good too I use a Sophos XG105w at home
  14. Yeh 5ghz is a shorter range BUT more things use 2.4ghz so sometimes 5ghz is better to run on. Just try and test both out. Also pro tip: don't put modem near the microwave
  15. Ended up cancelling my shitty ADSL at new rental place (NBN 6-9 months away but wouldn't be surprised if it actually is 1-2 years) bought a 200GB data sim from Optus for $70 month no contract Before: 3 download / 1 upload mbps PING: 20ms-ISH After: 25 download / 6 upload mbps PING: 30ms-ish The only down side is 200GB limit vs unlimited data.. which is pointless anyway with such shit speeds. tl;dr if you have shitty ADSL go get a Optus 4G sim and wack it in a 4G modem
  16. I heard the cylinder walls are too close together / thin as well and crack over time on the RS as it runs higher boost than the Mustang engines
  17. Oh a piece of candy, oh a piece of candy
  18. Headgasket Oh wait that's the Focus RS I read too much about chocolate pistons on the STI but I want to go STAGE 2 (yeah I said that) the amount of STAGE talk on the Subie FB groups makes me want to cut myself
  19. NFS underground 2 spinners were the best.
  20. I remember buying my first 17" rims for my r33 couldnt afford shit being 18 in high school.. so found these 2nd hand on here:
  21. The last pic would look good, are they 19s stock? My ford had 19s stock, I went with 20s for a little bit but the ride quality went to shit, so stuck with 19s after that. New STI has 19s too.. maybe I go 22s? 22s fit on an r33?
  22. LOL Wasteland providing the goods it's like the ye old times. Birds definitely blast it on their FB that's complete BS.. I'll remember to take photos of any rental now.. never done it in the past, noob mistake obviously!
  23. pro trail bike tip : stand up on pegs the good thing about the groms is there's a lot of big bore kits you can get for them, and teaches you how to play with in-expensive simple engines
  24. Never ridden one, I reckon they're a bit unsafe. 1. Low so cars less chance of seeing you in mirror, cant see over cars to look at traffic hazards ahead 2. Slow 125cc engine cant get out of bad situations 3. Cheap shitty tyres and suspension components On the bright side, cheap rego and cheap on fuel
  25. Lets all get a Grom
