  6. one of my asian mates from high school used to always be pretty skinny, now i'm guessing he's like 80-83kg competing for australia and just did 235/187.5/117.5 and posted some vids up on facebook crazy strong shocked me that it was him - only 23 too and hasn't trained long :\ /csb I'm keen to get into more / increase deadlifts now

  8. gym was going off tonight, dat open day full disco spec yo' congrats birdmang on the win was at work so couldn't do deadlift comp unfortunately wouldn't of won but at least done it

  13. Sif no respect for dem 80s f1 drivers! those mofos basically sat in a Tupperware container pushed the cars hard as fark and died frequently! I suppose you could say the same for moto gp riders, but they could slow down a lot easier once they came off i suppose - still sad about Marko last year Isle of man TT though.. another story like over 200 deaths in 100 years

  16. Sad seeing all the young women's on the treadmills and never hitting up some weights. If only they knew how good some resistance training would be for them too. On the plus side some very fit girls doing weight training tonight I was mirin' I feel there's a swole joke in there somewhere birds.
  17. fuark the old 80s f1 turbo cars were insane.. upto ~1400hp in qualifying and manual shifting! just crazy wish we could see them race these days http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Id3wmT0UrMk the guy in this vid says 330km/h on the straight, now take into account the brake distance and corner speed difference compared to cars these days.. awesome acceleration
  18. Agreed spotter = dem extra 2-3 reps Come November i would of been hitting the gym for a year, will post up some compareo pics then for shiz! Birds kept me going the first few months, but now doesn't matter I go regardless!

It is enjoyable for me too, duno if it's the 'gotta lift more this time' thing or 'go further this time' Training partner can be good as well for some friendly competition / then you got a spot to try and improve or push you Also get to know people at the gym if you go often enough, so can say hello or have a small chat
