Yeah put a deposit down on the weekend for a MY18 model (17 built obviously), ended up going with the STI Spec R which is basically the STI Premium with Recaro seats added on top. (so has all the nice ass warmer seats, 3 cameras (1 up front and 1 on mirror points to front rim / curb, sunroof etc) Got it in Blue, my first coloured car after a Silver, White, White, Black car. ETA mid this week. Oh also optioned it with tint and black slimline number plates (normal plates though) Now I'm already eyeing off exhausts.. Test drove a Focus RS on the weekend, that's a seriously good performance car. The only problems I had with it were a few dailyness nice things it missed (e.g blind spot assist, sunroof option, digital gauge cluster, amongst other things) so ended up sticking with what I've wanted for a while now and went the STI. The boxer sound was a winner too, the RS pop offs were very artificial sounding IMO. No doubt in my mind that the RS is the better car performance wise out of the box though, the thing felt so planted and heaps of grunt with little to no lag, gearbox felt better to use than the STI too. If it was a track only or DECA car I was looking at would be the RS. Didn't test drive any Golfs or Mustangs in the end.

I thought this was VWL, 200k is pocket money m8 Seriously though, yeah I see what you're saying has to stop somewhere but we keep hearing that for how long now? Do people need to wait 10? 20? 30 years for this crash then another 5 for it to become affordable to them?

Drove a 2015 STI (92% the same car) the other year when I was looking at them initially but decided to hold onto my car for a bit longer. Long enough ago to mostly forget, so wouldn't mind driving a few things before buying. Had the OTHER guy that looked at the car on saturday call me tonight wanting to buy the car for a similar ammount.. I told him "sorry mate deposit taken".. you play games and wait that's what you get I guess? the guy from Monday wasn't f**king around, bought it before the test drive LOL. tl;dr car for sale for 4 months then 3 chances to sell in under a week, wtf. Price stayed the same too.

Ironically that episode comes out the day I sell mine and also got follow up call from Subaru Mentone about the STI I checked out a few months back.. it's like they knew. Now I gotta book a test drive the same day with both of them. Throw in a SSV for the V8 m8's too

The whole sum, so over 30k, I mean I called him and he sounded legit. Doesn't matter in the end anyway, I had another guy look at the car tonight and played them against each other and sold to this guy tonight and deposit taken

So got some interstate buyer that's agreed on a price and wants to deposit money into my account, sight unseen. Apart from a video I sent.. feels like a scam, but you can't reverse bank transfers can you unless it was unauthorised? (hacked) correct? Should I just give account details of an account I never use then transfer it to my other account once cleared let courier pick up?

The joys of selling cars, had nothing for a month or so, as soon as the spring/summer weather comes out had about 6 different enquires in a week - still waiting for someone to cough up the dough though. Darn tyre kickers, I mean there's only 2 of them in Victoria for sale at the moment anyway.

More or less yeah, that's what the property manager reckons. It's decent location wise close to monash uni / hospital / train station and a fair few jobs & industrial around too Doesn't take too long to get to the city from there when you jump on the train
