I've got a linked in profile, pretty much look like a fool if you don't in the i.t world, my old employer actually made the whole team make a profile and got a professional shoot done for faces on the company website :\ new employer said they checked it out, amongst other things like facebook etc.. gotta be careful what you put on the web. It's a good way to show experience that you cant fit on CV though, also the photo part is okay I guess so they know you aren't a pleb.
