  1. Yeah, auto is way better than manual in them + its my cruise / daily car. Got a motorbike if i feel the need for a manual I'll be getting a tune once engine has been worn in, go down to calder or heathcote and run some 11s Mustang dash is pretty cool how it goes red: Sif drop a skid in your own workshop driveway
  2. Yeh 4x VCT ftw, lets not forget the engines only 1 year old.. wait until development of more aftermarket parts. And they are already raping anything HSV has to offer. I was not bias at all going into the decision would of been FPV or HSV but after doing my research.. ZF + 5.0 = win. Other car I was looking at was the 335i, but didn't like what you got for what you pay.
  3. Haha yeh I'll be down the hwy running it in.. up and down, no drags just yet. Especially after kris got done last week :\ And yeh i'll let you guys know how the fpv compares to the GTR once I've been driving it over teh weekend
  4. F6s are quicker for same money guess it depends if you want the 8 and if you do want a 8 you'd be silly to pass up the new 5.0 SC ford so much better than holden atm (last 10 years hasnt been though)
  5. Yeah they are nice but the difference is quite a bit, I'll be making my car my own and enjoy the hell out of it
  6. Yeah it is, but the f6 and GT look different to the GS (better) is what im getting at, and when i say modded just lowering it and putting a decent set of rims and stripes make it looks soo much better. In new engine order goes: GTP is best "335kw", 6/4 brembos, better seats, different wheels etc (f6 / GT bodykit)~85-90k GT is below "335kw", 4 pot brembos front, not as good seats no brembos rear (f6 / GT bodykit)80k GS is below "315kw" bit more detuned stock, same driveline minus the 4pot bremb, bodykit and slightly different seats ~60k F6 start at 60k without options, but I wanted the 8. IMHO felt a lot like a taxi when you wern't floggin it. Basically couldn't justify (or really wanted to spend) the extra for what you get, guess its a bit like if a GTST had a rb26, 4wd and no brembos lol Hope that made sense, thats all the FPVs in a nutshell.. minus the GTE and F6E which are luxury exec versions.
  7. Thats a modded f6.. vs my bog stock lol and yeh looks good in white i know but i prefer the GS in black See doesnt look as good, eventually ill get a GT / F6 rear bar keep the rest of the body standard, lower it - better rims etc. E.G: stock rear bar still not bad: but i like the GT rear bumper: Give me some time and will be a boss of a car, no pun intended.
  8. my youtube surfing somehow found me here: looks like fun
  9. He might of got caught on the chain and just freaked out and yanked at it really hard with the strength of a horse I'm sure it wouldn't take much most important thing is his ok now
  10. ouch sorry to hear.. fark glad his ok
  11. Different power delivery would mean different MPH, F6s same weight and run much higher MPH for a similar time. There's a lot of discussion about the low MPH on the ford forums. Still sounds like the only way to prove actual rwkw would be a SAU dyno day lol care for a wager?
  12. Obviously upgrade the 245s, and will be doing brembos / suspension down the track as well Whenever the next meet is !
  13. About 1800, maybe a bit less which is expected I guess for a big car.. got about 300kgs on my old GTR .. still do a tune and your in 11s. Other vids online to back this up as well / all info on forums etc Standard boost just drops off so much They go alright: This ones got a catback and a tune, nothing else
  14. I will seriously look it up if you don't believe it already a few dyno vids on youtube
  15. About 5-6 psi but drops off dramatically throughout the rev range in stock form (~280rwkw ish). Tune only sees 380rwkw no other mods. All it does is keep the boost stable and straight, increase the rev limit by 500rpm. And the boost will go up to about 9psi ish from what I've seen. Remember in a ford you just remap standard ECU and unplug so no cop trouble. Thanks, it's exactly the colour combo I wanted - cost a tiny bit more than a white one I could have gotten but don't care wanted the black badly. Just needs some tint, might powder coat the rims black or similar as well at some stage - or as others have said get some cheapish rims in good sizes. Yeh a couple of G's off 60k Thanks man
  16. Never actually drove this one, drove a different one and sounded tuff with the supercharged whine etc. Picking it up next friday
  17. Yep Leather, colour screen, premium sound (8 speakers, subby), fpv mats, dual zone climate control So excited to pick it up
  18. Woot
  19. Double post.. so err here:
  20. they still kick out a bit and its aggressive when it does
  21. On a warm day, with a big of flogging on the street mine would go up to about 83-84? and sit at 78-80 on normal day edit: im thinking of water temp.. cant remember air.
  22. I got a mate that had a big "in", borrowed 50k and now the shares are worth 3c each. A year or so onward. Pretty fail
  23. thanks guys!
  24. Whats that TV show that Dezz and rimspec watch? Gonna dl it but forgot name..
  25. Yep, and do brakes later down the track also in yellow (those are harrop) but can always respray red brembos. Probably powder coat stock rims matt black, to save some $$$$ initially as well if I'm going for that look. Which imo looks BAWS. Might check this one out: http://www.carsales.com.au/demo/details/fpv-gs-2010-11304388?cr=33&distance=25&vertical=Car&eapi=2&Page=3&sort=~Price&__N=1216%201246%201247%201252%201282%204294965879%204294966800&silo=Stock&Range=Price:40000,Max~1
