I think last track day I did in a car was 8 years ago Winton in my 33 gtr The centre caps on my wheels were plastic and melted off What recording app do you use on phones? I heard Racechrono is good?

That's exactly what I thought, the magazines hammer them all day without issues. I'll keep you all posted anyway with what happens I'm expecting pads to basically be gone and tyres go mooshy after a while.

Surely STI Brembos / pads / rotors are more 'track ready' than ST ones If they can't last one track day they don't deserve to be on the car

I just checked 88e lowest that's been in a while! that explains the lack of 88e talk in VWL lol. I don't have any shares at the moment, not sure what I want to invest in - maybe just be boring and pay mortgage off. Or just build race car, because race car.

Yeah the Mrs said there's starting to be some progress in that division now so that explains the higher share price I guess. The fact that she held onto hers the whole time means she has faith I guess? Edit: Just saw it has gone up 50% in the past month not bad.

I'll just wear out my stock pads then chuck in performance pads next time I reckon. Yeah I figured the tyres would go mooshy after a couple of laps.

That sounds like a lot of fun. Speaking of track days doing one on the 28th Sep at Sandown (not the sau one) There's a whole heap of Lambos, Lotus etc. kind of stuff, going to be constantly overtaken I'm sure Whats the best way to look after a stock car on the track? 2 laps on 2 off? I'm sure if I hammer it for the 20 minutes straight something will stuff up.

Dezz, I drove a RS3 the other day a mate just bought one, 2016 model $69k 24,000km on the clock. Thing has shit loads of power, 0-100 4.3sec & 4WD - replacement for the excel? Had the performance exhaust or whatever, first thing I thought was sounds exactly like a V10 lambo / R8 from the inside, massive shock. Get yaself one, pocket change for you

Not sure about e85 but they offer australian maps for 98 or 95 as our fuel is slightly different I got the Cobb because it saved me from having to get it dyno tuned for simple mods like intake / exhaust, can just download maps for them. Otherwise you put an intake on you have to get it dyno tuned.

Some of them do that, I think Trent does etc. doesn't help me when I've already got the Cobb access port for off the shelf maps installed.

RIP called the local Cobb tuner only to find out he has sliced his arm open and had it operated on yesterday.. out of action for who know how long! Means I have to wait or go to Sunshine, da west side brah.
