Hey guys, I got my R34 on road 2 days ago and it looks wicked, esp after i changed the rims. The main gripe i have is they took out the Xenons for compliance and id really like to get some form of HID or Xenons put back in. I dont need the whole assembly, just the globes i think. But what i want to know is if like autobarn or somewhere sells Xenon kits? ive heard official Nissans are like 2k. And if i get these put on, are they massive cop magnets? Id like to cut down on my routine checks in the 34. I just want to keep it all mostly legal and non defectable lol. Any info would help

I got the wheel checked out at an ally repairer, the wheel is f***ed. the crack is too close to where the spoke meets the inner part of the rim so the only option is a new rim. but the rim is $280 so its not too bad..i was expecting them to be around 400-500 per rim. And yes im still getting the 34. had it checked out and all looks good.

If all goes well ill have it onroad by then, so ill def come along
-
definitely...i never felt like my 33 was good enuf to go on cruises lol, but this car definitely will be seen.

I checked again today and the engine bay was in fact black and the guy explained to me that theyre not the same colour usually. Also the colour code of the car is BP9 i put down the deposit, just gotta organise an inspection first
-
thanx mate, ill call u about it b4 the end of the week. Cheers
-
Hey guys, I need to get an inspection done on the R34 that im gonna buy. It most likely will be onsite but im gonna see if i can get an offsite one done. Can ayone recommend somebody who can do it for me? Preferably someone who knows imports would be good, who can do a thorough test of the car. I personallyhavent found anything wrong with the car, but i just want to make sure. Thanx guys
-
The engine bay was the same colour as the car too, otherwise i wouldve assumed it was a respray. the pearl u cant really see as the car needs a cut and polish but when its done and the sun is on the car itll be visible. I have seen this colour actually once, in a sold auction on prestige motorsports site, so its not a one off i dont think either, but i know for a fact its not midnight purple anyone know any "skyline specialists" who can do onsites? as well as offsite inspections?
-
ill find out the paint code and let u know, but i did in fact see the colour in the R34 brochure i saw...japanese brochure. its not as purple as in the pics.
-
also, since ill prob be getting this car, can u guys give me some info on some skyline specialists that would do on site inspections of this car? any info would be greatly appreciate. I want someone who knows skylines to do a workover of the car. i dont think theres anything wrong with it, but i just want to make sure

Any of u guys had any dealings with Carizma in Richmond? Are they dodgy? I hear mixed things
-
No im sure its a factory job...the guy showed me the Japanese R34 Nissan brochures...(very nice btw, wish i could get one of them) and for the GTT its one of the factory colours..i originally wanted bayside blue as ive seen some GTT's with that but i was told it was GTR only, but ive since learned that a small amount of GTT's were made in bayside blue. Still this dark blue/purple is pretty nice.
-
Also, i tried to get them down under 35k but theyre not budging, mainly coz of the colour of the car, which apparently is extremely rare. Its a dark blue with a reddish purple pearl. Its in fact a factory colour so i was amazed. ive never seen one that colour before, i thought it was a spray job. Either way, the colour is beautiful and that was the main selling point for me

Just a quick update...i went down to see the car again today to check it more thoroughly, and it looks like i may get it. I looked for any of the problems listed but i couldnt find anything obvious. As to the crap steering wheel, apparently the one on the car now was just an old one put on for compliance as the car had an aftermarket wheel originally, so when i get the car they will put back the aftermarket or put a brand new factory wheel on, which i was happy about. There is also some slight water marks on the drivers seat because the window was left open on the boat and water got into the car, but i am assured that the car is being steam cleaned and it will remove all of it. The minor body scratches will be removed in the cut/polish all except for the one on the boot, which isnt totally removable. All in all, for the price, i think its a good deal. I am gonna sell my car for 15-18k hopefully, so thats pretty much half of the total price so im not really paying 35k, which is the main plus point that validates all this in my conscience lol. Thanx for all the input guys i really appreciate it and ill update u guys when i know more.

but i value the advice

if i get the holiday im not going, i would give it to someone. i dont have time to go and i know it sounds suss, but still its a top car and its from a reputable place lol. ANd now u guys have planted doubt in my mind im starting to have second thoughts....sigh...its such a nice car
-
Also, if i buy the car, i apparently get a holiday anywhere in Oz to the value of 3k. I dont really want the holiday and i was thinking to try and get the price of the holiday knocked off the car lol. Ill do an inspection of the car again when i go down on wed. the only things i noticed when i saw it last was a sort of deep scratch in the top part of the boot on the outside..the car looked good, but i was told it hasnt been cut and polished yet and it will look better, so when thats done it will prob get most of the scratch out, but its not totally removable..that was my only concern, plus some of the steering wheel leather has worn away and u can see the foam underneath. But apart from those the car is in top condition. Oh and it has a GTR trim on the inside.
-
lol id prob only know where to look for half that stuff, but ill try to check it all out thanx

ive heard of that plce..i might check it out
