  1. Thanks, already checked that out before I posted. I wasn't sure if i should use the thread for my question so I decided to make a new thread so that one stays on topic as more of a check list of what to look for in a car. I have a few questions, is it best to get one privately sold, dealer or are there any auctions that deal in import cars without actually having the auction in Japan then importing the car? Is it more common amongst the users here to buy it privately?
  2. Ahoy hoy, well I've been considering it for a little while now and I think it's time I get something 'new' in a months time (just started my new job), getting rid of the VX and going for an Import. I'm 22 now and I think insurance won't hurt the pocket as much. I should have around 15-17g to play with and was looking at getting a R32-R33 GTS-T thats manual. I usually prefer stock cars, but it seems as if the cars that people have actually put some money into have taken care of them quite nicely and the stockers are shit boxes. I'm looking for a brief idea of what I could get around that mark (15g-17g) I'd prefer 12-15g so I could cover insurance and all the other little nasties that come with purchasing a car. Carpoint/carsales and sites like that seem to be all over the place with prices. I'm in Melbourne, around the Dandenong area so car yards with imports are plentiful .. and also dodgy a lot of the time. So basically I have looked around a bit and still have no idea of what I am able to get, I'm considering importing something through prestige but I donno, seems like a pain in the ass to figure out what it will actually end up costing to get it on the road. Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks!
