And blow 100K Or spend 100K on modding the 33?.. hmmmm.. Its a neat idea though!.. Wouldnt mind seeing one of them! Nice drag car!
-
Lookin for an NA block.. Willing to travel.. Located in Syd
-
I dont know where you are.. but Automoto in Syd stock Bee *R stuff.. Google em. Their pretty poor with the phone.. but worth a try..
-
Hay kids!.. As above, looking for an RB30E bottom end. Pref in low Km's or reco or modded.. Pref in Syd! Perfect opportunity to get rod of that lazy donk in the backyard!
-
thought not.. I wanna be caged though!..

AND RED GOES FASTER! Nismo sticker = 20% increase in torque and power Mugen sticker = 25% increase in torque and power.. (Dont laugh!.. I have seen several Nissans with Mugen stickers! LOL!.. shit greg!.. you have been trying to sell this for yonks!.. Should of posted it to me when I asked! And side note.. as I said before, dont bother spending money on an aftermarket cat. It will not do anything on a low power NA application! And as before.. dont bother with a dump pipe..

Rb20 In A 240sx, Wont Start
GTS4WD replied to laxian55's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Coil packs? Ignition leads? Ignition Module? Everything earthed properly? Ignition Wireing? Is the loom properly connected to the ECU? Screwed on tight? Depending on where you are, theres a few places, Just Jap, SSS, I think last time I was in Up garage in Syd I saw a lazy RB20DET ecu. Try the e-bay, theres a fair few people flogging off pretty cheap. -
CRD are good blokes.. After seeing some of their work at Autosalon, id say, trust them, their good blokes.. Best car I have EVER seen on the Dyno was Stacey's Silver R32 GTR with work and tune by CRD. Even better than the Pac boy's 400kw Rotors! I hope your going to be doing suspension and brake work after this.. At least braided brake lines, brake master cylinder stopper and some suspention work. Or else the car wont be able to take the corners around the track. Definatelly worth looking into.

My Green 33 N/a - Now Rb25det Conversion

Lookin the goods mate! In terms of diff.. I dont think there should be much of a diff. Someone correct me if im wrong. Dont GTS's have an VLSD? Or open diff?.. Not sure. I figure, either way.. you should leave it in there.. and if you going to upgrade.. dont bother with a GTR or GTST, just save and get a 1.5 LSD -
So say for alot of togue and mountain roads its better to take it out? Its just that I have a fear, on any road of oversteer, I think I need a drift day to overcome this fear at high speeds. I feel aslo, that my ATTESSA is at a bit of a waste as the car now has an RB25DE in a heavy four door, so its quite hard to get enough power to get ATTESSA to kick in.. Any more comments are greatly appreciated!
-
Hmm.. can you go a little more technical? I find with mountain roads that the attessa isnt used much.. its it possible to induce ATTESSA to kick in? Corner angle? Speed?.. hmm.. how much does it induce oversteer with HICAS removed?.. I dont want to be down a windey rd and cop a handfull of oversteer. Thats my biggest fear. If HICAS will help stop that. I may keep the system. How do I get ATTESSA to work with me during spirited driving?
-
Cheers mate.. Ill look that up more indeapth.. im looking for a technical explination. What do you mean other prefer it in the car? Oh.. and btw. Just Jap in Syd have a set of R32 GTR wheels with tyres.. have a look on their site.. And from memory there is a set floating around on e-bay. dont know its ended or not yet.. worth a look.. Cheers mate

I think it may be worth saving the money that would go towards a stock diff, saving and spending a little more for a 1.5 way LSD.. May aswell spend the money on something worth while than just a stocko one
-
Hey People! Can anyone give me a rundown/walk through on all HICAS equipment removal? Pref. in a 32? Whats all the HICAS equipment weigh? Is it worth it? Was there much of an improvement? Cheers, Cris

if you want reliability.. I would definately be looking at headwork. Why not port and polish the head? It will make more torque at lower RPM. This will help you come on boost quicker and harder. Not to mention it will make it easier to acheive your power figure. Dont neglect your head. Theres alot of air entering and leaving the engine. Use it to your advantage! Dont so much aim for a set power figure. Try ensure that you have a wide power band to play with. I seen too many cars pushing 300kw what make awesome power for the track/strip, but are so un-streetable its silly. By the time you winde the engine up to were it makes power you have already shat all over the speed limit and your licence is out the window. Personally, a 250kw gtr with a massive powerband, response and torque is a hell of alot more fun than a 350kw GTR with a narrow power band that needs to be well into boost to be create a buzz (but by then your already over the limit). Thats my 2c How much boost do you think you will be running?

Still prefere to do all the work myself.. -
lol.. i completely misunderstood that question.. Im pretty sure its the turbo diff.. yeah.. its an NA GTT

Wouldnt fir a 4door 32.. would it?

the model is an R34 GT So it has an RB25DE With VVL So its a 2.5L 6cyl with Nissans VVL technology. VVL operates by using solenoids that kick the cams over to the larger lobes so it revvs harder and longer with more stick behinde it. "Grade V" means grade 5. V is roman numeral for 5. Its the highest grade vehicle you can import. It does not have any panel damage, or paint damage, engine is perfect mechanical order, the interior is in good nick. The Japanese are usually pretty strickt with the grading. So if your importing a grade V it should be almost as new. Hope this answeres a few q's

So what will the tuning houses like Nismo, Top Secret, Mines etc etc etc. be able to do with such a high platform!? The other GTR's seemed as though they were purposly built with "tunability" in mind.. Once the thuning houses get their hands ahold of this.. I feel that 1000kw will become something of a bit of a norm. how do you improve on such a highly developed car? Even when you do.. 997 Turbo's will seem like Lada's compaired to the GTR

Has anyone gotten their headers made from titanium? Anyone care to hazard a guess at the weight saving? And with heat wrapping.. is there a special technique? or just wrap and use a hose clamp to tie off the ends? cheers boys and girls
