  1. I swapped to iridium plugs and still does it..
  2. *runs and grabs tissues*
  3. Auto's have to be THE most boring things to drive! You have such a better control over the vehicle.. Jumped into my mum's auto pulsar.. and almost smaked my head on the steering when when I tryed to heel and toe down by second nature
  4. IMO: unless your using is as a weekend track car.. or drive like an absolute maniac.. there isnt much point.. just get a master cylinder stopper.. it will give much better pedal feel.. less flex.. and ALOT less effort..
  5. Yes.. a 4 wheel steer system that turns the rear wheels by something like 1 degree (or something of the sort.. please correct if not accurate) to assist in cornering you can get a HICAS lock bar off e-bay for like $150 and lock the back up as HICAS dosnt really do too much and you can rip out some of the HICAS gear and save weight Why do you think not? Do you have a dront diff? Front drive shaft? Transfer box? If you dont know what or how to find these things.. just drop the clutch and see if the tyres light up or just pulls or you could do it the boring way and see if you have a torque guage on ur instrument cluster.. and yes.. GTS4's are AWD.. not constant like the EVO or WRX.. but as soon as the rear wheels loose traction (the system cheks this 10 times a sec in the R32 and 1000 times in the 33, 34 and staggy), the front wheels begin to pull aswell (hence making it a 4wd).. once rear wheel traction is re-gained.. torque goes back to only the rear wheels. hope that helps *I do not advise doing this on a public road*
  6. x2 its the easiest way and.. no.. you dont =]
  7. mine pops too.. and it seems like she is a thirsty biatch.. Turbo helps with that..
  8. Welcome to quite possible the bodgiest explination: There is a solenoid near Cylinder 1 intake piping of the intake manifold, now I realise that there is a few there.. but this is the best pic I could find On the turbo side of the engine there is an oil feed going to the head.. As soon as you acc. off idle (do this in neutral to hear it easiest) you can hear the VCT solenoid click on as soon as the car leaves idle
  9. sounds like a re-birth
  10. if the car runs rough at idle.. Sounds like ass seems like its lost power.. rough acceleration then its not working you could also unplug the VCT solenoid and see the difference..
  11. Well im looking to put together a hi comp 25/30 NA project together.. so.. dont have much use for this.. But I may get the block sleeved and sell the whole bottom end off with the pistons.. Ill get a few quotes for getting it sleeved.. but I mean.. I seen a fair few 25DeT blocks going HEAPS cheap lately.. so Im not sure if its worth it.. but I will get back with you guys about it..
  12. from what I remeber.. Remove hub lock nut separate tie-rod and suspention lower ball joint separate lower ball joint and lower link *or something of the sort.. but await another one to confirm* You have to play with opposite locks and almost push the spindle out of the hub.. Same thing as you did on the opposite side..
  13. **UPDATE** I WAS looking for a piston to bore clearance of .035 - .05mm (as per Manufacturers requirements) Called up some blokes down at Silverwater and .1mm seems too big.. So.. plan of attack.. Piston size of 85.95mm WILL fit a stock RB25DET bore and have a gap of .05mm (recommended gap) - Anyone interesed in a cheap set of forgies that will fit stock Rb25DET bore? BUT Because the mechanics at deadshit's mechanics R US bored the block out by .05mm (and hence increased the clearance to .1mm and therefore too big) the block and piston combination will not work.. - anyone looking at a cheap 25det block?
  14. Is this Dr Drift bloke REALLY all he's cracked up to be?.. I mean out of all the tuning houses and tuners I hear of him most.. so I assume he would be expensive.. Why all the hype?
  15. YOU! Your a thinker!
  16. Anyone know how much forgies expand once the engine is warm?
  17. thats a bit large.. why such a large difference from stock clearance?
  18. I remeber reading somewhere that their cold side turbine is made from plastic of some sorts
  19. about .035mm - 0.055mm
  20. mate.. you are a legend! I owe you a beer!
  21. True.. of MAX .05 (according to the workshop manual) So the pistons would of been fine if they didnt f*ck around with the bore Dodgy deadshits!
